They make getting your taxes done a little less painful. This is a family owned business that Mr. & Mrs. Travis run. If you decide to go, you will have to call and make and appointment. They don't take walk-in. I find the earlier in the year the better. If you wait till April, you may not get an appointment before the 15th. I like that they go over your taxes with you, explaining the mistakes you may be making on your taxes. Also love how they keep up with all the changes in the tax laws that are happening today. They are located on Germantown Ave. , in the Mt. Airy section of the city. There is only street parking, but I never had a problem finding a parking space. I feel their fees are competitively fair. I'm so glad we found them, and would recommend to others.

Though I had many recommendations and referrals for other accountants, I chose to work with Rose because I chose to specifically support a woman and minority owned business. One piece of advice from Erin Benzakein from Floret about hiring a bookkeeper and accountant was that if you feel dumb or awful after meeting with either, then it's time for you to hire a new accountant/bookkeeper. I was having a hard time managing my own bookkeeping and was inquiring about this service. I met with Tara and she was condescending, defensive, and was gaslighting me when I started crying on the call after she went on a diatribe about the importance of bookkeeping. I also disagreed with her statement that "Bookkeeping is the backbone of your business." Unfortunately, Rose was also on the call and there wasn't any intervention. I would recommend Rose Brown only if you were just working with her and Darin, but would stay away if you are on a call with Tara.
