I asked them to do a test strand and Ali had one condition.Do not let me leave here darker than when I came in. However, what do you think they did? MY hair is almost black. The service here was high quality and the students were kind and friendly. The student working on my hair gave me truly the best dye I have ever gotten. And I have gone to many top quality salons. The only complaint is the time needed for an appointment here is almost double a regular salon, and the student left dye on my head which tinted my face for a few days. But keeping in mind that these folks are students, they are doing a fantastic job! read more

Everything seemed that it was going good but the moment she washed my hair it looked horrible i couldn't believe how messed up my hair was I trusted this girl I spoke to her prior to my appointment she was so sure she can do the job well I came out looking like a damn rainbow different color hair all dried and damaged worst of all they made me pay for the damage never again will I ever go there very unprofessional the teachers there they need to start teaching these girls if u can't do the job don't do it !!! i am unable to update my review but I have discovered something so horrifying. I was treated so poorly here and I just didn't understand why. I genuinely was nice to these people tried to have open communication and the list to go on. to discover that the reason why they hated me was because they knew this women that owns a company that shown my picture around Columbus and had people hating me and the director Jessica and the owners necole and Orlando and Racheal knew her. she was the gf of the guy that SAed me after I gave birth to my child. I do know one of the students there personally came up to me and was telling me she knew my story as well when I was there but at the time I just thought it was her. Which explain why the owner necole told me she knew I have issues with other people outside of here and I was so confused because I don't and she said don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about which I have that conversation recorded. There character is so poor and sickening. The lack of respect they have for people is distasteful and they gaslight everyone. Then they run with the Paul Mitchell name to justify their actions. They care about no one but money. They make a mockery of you. Then turn it around as if you're the problem. The amount of people that have suffered here is insane. The way I suffered here was even crazier. This establishment was suppose to stand against abuse but instead because they knew the girl personally they tormented me when I suffered from being attacked. They will abuse you here then try to play with your mind and make you look like the problem because they never do anything wrong. Watch how they respond look at how they respond to every review. Talk to students here but the thing is if anyone talks they will be mistreated. The staff said it themselves. went yesterday was there for 7 hours with my Mom... Everything was fine until I went to go get in the shower to wash my hair, and feels like something gross in my stuff and that never happens my shampoo is $40 and my Conditioner is $40 so total I spend $80 on my Shampoo and Conditioner stuff... me and my mom spent $150 together for Blonde Highlights, and while I'm trying to shower feels like something was moving down my back... I'm like WTF Is this shit??? got out and still feels like something is moving down my back... I'm Completely Grossed out after getting my hair dyed by them... my mom was going to send them a tip when we got home but checked her account and didn't have the extra money... So why would they try to bother my Privacy??? People are so Rude and need to back out of my personal space! wtf?? Weird ass people... You get what you pay for here. They are students so you cannot really hold them accountable. They are learning. I come here often and I'm not always disappointed. On Thursdays you get 25% off for having a student ID. I would recommend making an appointment. They take walk ins but they are often busy. read more

It has been years since I'be been here! To be honest I forgot about this place until searching for some inexpensive conditioning options as I start the journey to healthier hair for my upcoming wedding. After signing in and a short wait (only about 10mins after my scheduled appointment), the student stylist took me over to her work area and did a quick consult along with her instructor who confirmed the game plan of what we would be doing - basic color followed by an intense conditioning treatment. Basic all-over color starts at $30 and is am additional $10 for extra bowls that are needed based on hair length (my hair is almost to the center of my back and took a few extra bowls of color) I also received the hydra conditioning treatment which was an extra $20 but my hair was in desperate need! My total was about $70 and my all over color with hydra treatment and style took about 3hrs. The amount spent goes towards the school and different causes they donate to. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing, quick salon experience you will be disappointed and annoyed at the time it might take for some services offered. However, if you come with an understanding that these are students, at a school, who are still learning and you are patient with an open mind your experience will be great. read more

Ihad booked an appointment and I was pleasantly surprised When I walked in. I actually enjoyed watching some of the students work with beheaded mannequins. It would be a better learning experience if the mannequins were robotic. I watched the mannequins get their hair brushed like seriously ouch patrol should be sent over. These same students will try that on real humans. There should be tiny alarms for that torture. The instructors babysitting are very hands on and in control when real clients are utilizing the services. I was extremely fortunate to have a hair artist, Grace, on her way of graduating and will be a great asset to her new employer, and also a couple hands on instructors, whom assisted. It's Not a spa day, but it was fun. someone had suggested trying the school, and it truly was an enlightening experience, I had root touch up and my very long hair sliced and diced to near perfection. apparently, I'm a rare client who didn't scream or swear at the student, nor could I imagine that horror.It's a school, there are students, and instructors. I also had so much hair, if there was an incident, it could be repaired. It's just hair, it grows back, and it wasn't aorta surgery, so I was relaxed. Granted the student and instructors were a bit nervous, but I had no qualms. I felt like these ppl rocked! I also felt like a Rok God on my way home! I hope more ppl looking for a little self love telephone the school and get these students more human clientele. i have had my fair share of bad hair salon experiences, but i have to say this was not one of them! Emily Dean was my hairstylist and she was amazing. I went in with copper in my hair and i was wanting to go back blonde (which i have done before and i know isn't always the easiest or healthiest thing to do). Emily gave me everything I wanted and more, I seriously couldn't of been happier and for the price i paid omg i definitely got deal!! I already know she is going to be a great hairstylist and I will definitely keep seeing her for as long as she'll let me :). 11/10 experience this girl was amazing!!! (p.s. if you see a bad review about some karen going platinum and she was mad about the entire thing I would ignore, I watched her entire process and it's safe to say the problem was with her not her stylist, supervisor, or the salon, which might I add handed her terrible attitude amazingly) read more

They aren't the worst in town! The lady and her instructor were friendly! I don't think I'll go back to them again! I don't have time to spend two hours and half for a 20-minute service! I go to the school often and before I go I make an appt. The people on the phone are courteous and inform me as to who would be best for what I'm looking to have done. The instructors are courteous and they discuss your services with you and make sure that you are a participant. The school is not perfect but they go out of their way to please their customers. Rude!!! Had to go back to get my hair "fixed", but it was beyond repair, so I had to wear a hat for a couple of weeks.

Even if you have a scheduled appointment you will usually have to wait for a long period of time (Up to 40 minutes) before service begins. That's the only real problem with this school for me. This is a school. Senior day is priced right. I would love this school to teach their students to get there on time and to listen to their customer's wishes. The students need to ask their instructor for help. I being the customer, welcome an instructors input. read more

Been going here for 2 years. Last night the salon was packed! Had Erin for the first time. I needed a root touch up. She did a fabulous job. She asked me how I wanted my hair styled and I said "Whatever you want." It looks amazing---and it looks like I paid $75. There's more creativity in that square space than all of Morse Rd. read more
