I have been to funerals where the deceased looked awful - not just the makeup, but the hair looked dirty and unkempt. Avance does the best job with mortuary makeup and hair I have ever seen. I remember they gave us all the time in the world, from carefully picking the casket, the flowers, and even transportation of the body all the way to southeastern Kentucky. My experience with them was good. It was several years ago and things may have changed, but I have nothing but good things to say about Avance.

After an entire year, there is still no death date on her name plate and the memorial bench is STILL not placed. Unfortunately, the staff at Heritage Hills has prolonged the grief process for my entire family. Their lack of communication, unkept promises, and excuses have continued even with a change of staff. My family has been more than patient with the staff and all we have expected is for contracts to be upheld in a timely manner. I would absolutely NOT recommend Heritage Hill to anyone that is looking for a smooth experience during a stressful time of losing a loved one. However, after wards it took several phone calls with no call backs to get the death certificates and they delayed the payment of my father's life insurance to my mother by not responding to the insurance company's phone calls or emails. They also failed to respond to my 4 calls. We paid cash so they were not entitled to any insurance. All they had to do was respond! Frustration a grieving family doesn't need.
