If your vibe is 2000s R&B DJ Paul Stlyez IS YOUR MAN. I was lucky to find him through my photographer, Helena Wong, who also hired him for her wedding a few years back. I told her I like the throwbacks and she said look no further. Working with Paul was so easy. I reached out to him and had a really long email chain then ghosted him for a month or because I got overwhelmed during the planning phase. Luckily by the time I was ready to commit, he was still available. I got a pretty basic package and upgraded to a subwoofer with 10 uplights. He has options for a photobooth, 360 Booth, cold sparklers, fogger, custom lighting, and so much more if you're interested in those add ons. Paul works with a number of MCs and I got to go through a few of their interview/intro videos. I chose one MC, but unfortunately he had an emergency the day before my wedding and could no longer be present- without me even needing to lift a finger, Paul secured a replacement MC for my wedding date. Sucks I couldn't get my first choice but it would've sucked more if there were no MC at all - so thank you again, Paul, for handling that for me! I can go on and on about Paul's choice in music, but to keep it short, his playlist WAS IT. I only provided a few songs (songs for walking up and down the aisle, the grand entrance, and the last dance) and the rest was all him. I could barely sit down to eat my meal because he just kept playing hit after hit. My guests had such a great time and everyone, and I truly mean everyone, kept commenting on how good the music was. I booked DJ Paul Stylez and his team for both my outdoor wedding ceremony and Chinese banquet reception and I was so pleasantly delighted! His strengths are definitely communication, friendly / fun / party demeanor and DJing talent! I booked several services with him: OUTDOOR CEREMONY My outdoor ceremony was tricky because it was in an unconventional place, which was a park owned by the government water department. My ceremony audio was adequately loud and clear with minimal echo! My ~200 guests were able to hear my officiant as well as all the vows without any issues. Paul and his team came on time and set-up promptly. He also gave great feedback on how I can have top quality audio for my videography as well and connected with my harpist to ensure the audio set-up was all good to go! WEDDING RECEPTION DJ support - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, REDEFINES EXPECTATIONS! I was pretty prescriptive with how my audio for the night would be arranged, and he understood me and my requests FULLY! I had songs for each wedding event as well as a flow of genres for the dance floor portion to start with line dances for the older guests, transitioning into Bay Area music, then an EDM dance party with a focus on hardstyle and wrapping it up with 90s throwbacks. I had people dancing on the dance floor the entire night! And there were plenty of moments where the dance floor was so full that guests were dancing between tables. He played all the right songs at exactly the right time and I can't thank him enough for the effort. Emcee - My Emcee was Stephen Chun and he also delivered such HIGH QUALITY work, down to what he wore! He truly owned the night and had such a way with directing all the reception events, which was definitely tricky considering my rambunctious and drunk crowd. He even made sure me and my new husband had champagne for our toasts, pronounced all the names exactly right and ran my timeline so well that we were actually ahead of schedule for the majority of the night. Photobooth - They were open to feedback with my template design requests and worked with me closely to ensure the design was up to my standards. I also booked my own flower arch and curtains for the photobooth and they lined it up perfectly with their cameras! IT TURNED OUT SO GOOD! LED Dance Floor / Uplighting - Lastly, I booked his white dance floor and uplighting and it really added such a special touch to my wedding! They were able to enhance the event with small details like twinkling lights for the first dance, red lights for the lion dance and green lights for our money dance, etc. I really can't recommend DJ Paul Stylez and his team enough, truly amazing work. We met DJ Paul while he was sharing studio space with our wedding photographer. SUCH AN AMAZING HUMAN BEING! First impression is everything for my wife and I. DJ Paul checked all those boxes for us in terms of fit for the personality we want to lead one of the most important parts of our wedding. We are children of the 90s and we wanted this to be incorporated in the song selections and we were not disappointed. We were only able to have just over 35 minutes of dancing due to photos running late, but DJ Paul squeezed in as much of our songs in the program using his awesome transitions to each song. Dance floor was filled the whole time and it energized everyone's night. Additionally, DJ Paul also made our ceremony entrance one to remember. I had a vision of entering the ceremony with my officiant to one song and the rest of the Wedding Party including the Bride to another. DJ Paul beautifully executed my vision by making edits to both songs and transition from one bridal party entrance to another. This process all came to life with DJ Paul's clear communication to us over MANY emails and clips that he sent to my wife and I. Lastly, I came to the venue all stress due to other wedding-related issue that arose. The first time I entered the banquet hall and saw the lighting, I thought I was in a dream. I'm not the one to get emotional, but the designs that DJ Paul pulled off was out of this world. DJ Paul also added an additional gift that I was caught off guard and it totally washed away any worries that I had minutes before this experience. To DJ Paul: thank you sooooo much for your work! Paul brought the energy and life to my wedding. My wife and I got married just a month ago, and I can honestly say that without Paul, our day would not have been as magical as it was. I needed to rent speakers, an amp and microphone for an outdoor HOA meeting in our 4 story condo courtyard. Paul not only offered a VERY reasonable price for the equipment he provided, he did everything to make sure we had a great outcome. He let us pick it up the day before and had everything ready for a training session on the set-up when we arrived. He went through the set-up slowly and clearly while we video recorded it to make sure we had a reference if we forgot something. He assured us he'd be available to help if we had any problem (we didn't!) and texted us to make sure everything went well. The equipment worked beautifully, clearly reaching to the top floor end of the property. He let us return it a day later so we didn't have to rush over as soon as our meeting ended. Besides all this, he let us have a long extension cord and a fold-up dolly to move the big speakers at no extra charge. All that plus he is a really nice guy. We recommend you check Paul first for whatever you need. If he has it and you use him, you'll have a very good experience. read more
