Dr Tran is a very talented surgeon! He did an excellent job on my breast lift and tummy tuck and was able to limit the amount of incisions while giving me everything I asked for. Paul is incredibly talented, but scheduling is where he needs extra help. My appointments got moved without my consent multiple times, and I actually work for a living and have a life, so I can't drop everything to accommodate his scheduling hiccups. I'm sure once he gets more experience and front desk staff, this will be ironed out, but for now, I can't return, and I can't recommend him unless you're someone that has nothing else going on in your life and a wide open schedule. read more

A Dr that accepts a case, sends me for an ultrasound and then disappears. No return phone calls and his front desk has to make excuses for him being incompetent. If I could give -100 stars, I would. I started my process after losing 120 pounds over 3 years and keeping it off to have extra skin removed. I met with Dr. Paul Tran and I actually liked him. We discussed doing two procedures at once since I will need four procedures and my age I don't want to go under more than twice. He suggested which areas and told me that he would put in for it. I told him I needed to do this by May because that was the month. I had free from work, and I needed that time to heal. I called weekly for an update on whether I was approved or not by insurance. He never put in for my approvals until I called and complained and got upset and he did that mid May he only put in for one procedure. I asked and asked the office staff yes specifically and she said he puts in his own and that I would have to wait for him to do it and she will remind him. He never did it never did it. I canceled my surgery and rescheduled he still didn't put it in July 23. I see I was approved for some thing with my thighs and called to see if we could reschedule Yesenia once again said she would only schedule me for one procedure and my thigh approval was a wrong code saying that made a mistake. I'm not sure how they made a mistake when they wouldn't approve anything. A doctor didn't put in on their own , she told me I talk to the doctor I would have to come in for a consultation. Please take note I came in for my consultation. Pictures were taken of my entire body and we discussed doing two procedures at once. Why would I have to take time from my job go in and pay a co-pay and wait to be approved from my insurance for his consultation when I don't need that I just need to speak to him , about what he had prior spoke to me about. Yesenia. is very rude. She does not know how to talk to patients. I asked so you mean to tell me that he will not get on the phone with his patients he will not have a conversation unless you pay a co-pay and get preapproved for it if I have surgery and something goes wrong, I will not be able to get in touch with him. she said she would reschedule me for one procedure, but would not reschedule me for both. Dr. Paul Tran himself told me he would do two procedures at once for me as long as I had somebody to help care for me after my surgery, which I had it all ready to go for me, I had weeks of care which I no longer have. I am shaking. I am so upset. I've wasted over a half a year of my life with this and I still don't have my procedure. I think everybody is going to Dr. Tran needs to know how they treat their patients and that you cannot contact him . His office specifically Yesenia actually told me that I should move on and find a different surgeon because I don't like how they run their office she is beyond rude. the office staff is sometimes just as important as your surgeon the way they make you feel about yourself the way they handle your situation insurance money appointments if there's an emergency all of those things I highly suggest that nobody use Dr. Paul Tran for their surgery with plastic surgery you won't be able to speak to him when I called the talk to somebody else who was very kind and I can't remember her name at the moment she told me that his uncle is ill with cancer and he took over his practice and this is why he hasn't been able to take care of my surgery and putting in my referrals because he is so overworked with taking on another practice and patience even though she was kind that is still no excuse for him to take on too many patients and not be able to care for them properly. Do yourself a favor and find another surgeon. He works in the Facy network among others. Dr. Tran performed my daughter's breast reduction surgery after much deliberation and researching on my part (within the parameters of our health plan) and really really hoping that I was choosing the right skilled surgeon. I can say that it went very well. I waited to post a review as we are coming up into her first full year of recovery and I can honestly say she is doing great and is soo very happy with her results 100%. No regrets here! I wish I was able to give dr. Tran more then 5 stars he did AMAZING job back in October of 2020 I did a preventive double mastectomy since I'm BRCA 2 positive and then I came to dr. Tran to fix the concave and extra fat I had on my sides since I didn't go the implants route and let me tell you I was pretty scared with the first doctor and him telling me that I'm not gonna have it the way i was planning on having it so I wasn't that happy with the first doctors work until I went and did the surgery with dr. Tran in December of 2020 it's exactly what i wanted the first around and WOW I love the work he has done. He's very understanding and will go into full detail of what's gonna happen. In august I got a breast reduction with Paul Tran. I am super happy with my surgery and how everything is healing and very thankful I chose him. During my consultation i was very hesitant to continue because he is very dry as a person and that made me afraid, but his work is truly amazing. Went to Dr Tran through a friend from work who had a breast reduction, went through the consultation process went really smooth, thankfully my surgery was approved by my insurance was able to schedule about a month after. Dr Tran did a reduction and lift. I was able to go down at least three sizes down, and lost at least three pounds. My back feels so much better, the dip in my shoulder has started to go away. I wish I had done this year's ago, but definitely glad I did now. Only about a week and a half into the healing process and could not be happier with the results. In my experience the pain was tolerable not too severe, was able to shower a few days after my surgery. I have and would absolutely recommend Dr Tran to anyone looking to improve themselves health wise. read more

My 16 year old son accidentally cut a tendon on his left thumb while on a camping trip. We went to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Emergency room and were admitted immediately and Dr. Tran did the surgery first thing in the morning. My son came out of surgery with his tendon repaired. That didn't stop him from subsequently rupturing the sutures and damaging the repair within a week of having surgery. We had to have a second surgery, outpatient, at Henry Mayo Newhall, and it was again a success. Dr. Tran was very concerned and very compassionate. I could sense the empathy he felt for me as well as for my son. It has been a month and a half since the second surgery and my son is now in physical therapy and is able to move his thumb. We still have some healing to do and continued PT, but we couldn't have gotten through this without Dr. Paul Tran. I thought my son would lose all mobility in his thumb, or suffer some great infection. None of those things have come to pass and in fact, I don't believe I could have asked for a better result after two surgeries. Thank you Dr. Tran. His staff have also been unbelievably patient, kind and thorough. They have worked with me through a very difficult time and helped me to find some comfort in knowing that my son was and is, in good hands. read more

Just had a consultation with Dr Tran for a breast reduction. Received the warmest greeting from Irma as soon as I walked in the door. And was quickly brought into the observation room, checked my blood pressure and given a gown. I changed and picked up a bunch of reading material because in my experience, doctors make you wait forever wearing that gown before the show up. But not Dr Tran... he came nearly two minutes after I changed into the gown and was super nice. He asked several questions, then took measurements and photos and asked me what cup size I would want to be. Not knowing exactly, I told I just want my breasts to be proportionate to my body and I asked him what he thought would help alleviate shoulder and neck pain and still look good for my body frame. He thought a C or possibly a D would help. He said I'm definitely a candidate (current bra size is 38 F) and that he would submit the paperwork to my insurance. So initially I was a little bit unsure of the work I would receive because I felt Dr. Paul Tran was more of a reconstructive vs. cosmetic surgeon. However, I was referred by my insurance and figured I'd try and give him the benefit of the doubt. Let me start by saying, BEST decision I've made! Initially I was only getting a panniculectomy (which he got approved by insurance for me and quickly btw) but he was really fair with letting me convert it into a tummy tuck, and the results have been LIFE CHANGING! Granted he is conservative which means he won't take your money unless it's safe, which I appreciate because I wanted multiple procedures that would have been excruciatingly painful and thankfully he politely declined my request and I am forever grateful because the pain from a few was enough! I whole heartedly trust he has my best interest and safety at heart and he delivers results! I am very happy with my results and found my plastic surgeon from here on out. If you're considering him for cosmetic surgery, don't think twice, do it! trust me you won't regret it! He is AMAZING. And his whole staff is super attentive especially Irma! If you have any plastic surgery needs see Dr. Tran!!! I had a mole the about half a centimeter wide on my chin, right by my mouth and went to see Dr. Tran to have it removed. I was really nervous about getting removed and had put it off for years since it was on my face and I was so scared about the scar being worse than the actual mole. Dr. Tran talked me through the recovery process & what to expect before taking it out. He also told me where he was making the cuts so I could see how long the scar would be and where it will be. It was so reassuring to have a plastic surgeon who thinks about the little things like which direction to make the cut so it curves & flows with my smile. After it was out, he gave me detailed instructions on how to take care of my scar to keep it from being very visible. I had my mole cut out in October of 2019 and now in the beginning of March of 2020 you can barely see it when I don't have makeup on and it's 100% invisible with makeup on. The scar isn't even raised or have any texture to it at all! Please please go see Dr. Tran if you need anything removed at all!! read more
