No, not the point. the point was the rudeness and condescending tone.

I'm not naming the stylist because she is genuinely kind and gives great haircuts. But she talks a lot during appointments and seems to lose track of time, and I believe that's exactly what happened here. There was no timer used, and my hair was washed out in sections, far too late. From the beginning, I made it very clear that avoiding damage was my top concern. I even said I'd rather tone darker and use less bleach if needed -- and that was totally ignored. After the rinse, I parted my hair for the cut and immediately noticed stringy, broken strands. I panicked and expressed my concern, but was told this was "normal," which I know from past experience it is absolutely not. I continued pointing out the damage, and rather than acknowledging it, the stylist became visibly annoyed and shifted the conversation to distract me. I was devastated -- and still am. I only received a 10% discount and a take-home treatment, which I honestly don't think will help at this point. I paid $278 and was in the salon from 12 to almost 5 p.m., which is excessive, especially considering my hair isn't even that dark anymore. It had grown out to medium brown with some coppery foils left -- this shouldn't have taken that long, and it definitely shouldn't have left me with missing hair.

Disappointed is an understatement. The day after I got a wash/cut/blow dry with Tricia, my scalp…read morewas so severely inflamed that it was too PAINFUL to even rest the left/backside of my head on a pillow or even turn my head because Tricia didn't fully rinse the shampoo off of my scalp before blow-drying. The painful, swollen lumps were in a line from the top of my head down to my neck (where the soap dripped down). I've never had an allergic reaction to any cosmetic product and don't have a skin condition. The first time I got a haircut with Tricia, I let her know she missed some soap suds while we were still at the sink and she just wiped it off with a dry towel. This should have been a red flag but I shrugged it off thinking she might have just had an off day and came back regardless. Big mistake. I'm not one to leave bad reviews but it's been a full week and I'm still in pain so I felt I should let others know. I wish I could say I like the trim but it's choppy and uneven. I didn't bother asking for it to be cleaned up because I didn't want to lose more length and figured it's just hair so I can get it cleaned up by another salon in a couple of months. Tricia was nice and I still tipped her well but who knew a haircut could cause so much physical pain, sleepless nights, and misery?

I stumbled upon this salon on Yelp when I had 2 hours to get a haircut in on a Saturday afternoon. I was so pleased that The Classic Hair Design was able to fit me in, and I am so delighted with my experience. Sue washed my hair, and Sandy cut my hair. I asked for a short layered bob, and I LOVE how it turned out. Wash, cut, and blow dry for $38. Already looking forward to my next haircut at The Classic Hair Design. Highly recommend.
