The structure was painted when first installed and paint was reapplied the second year. We were getting ready to paint this year when we noticed the rotting wood. The paint application looked good but just wanted to apply a new coat. I have made several attempts to contact this company and have received no response. I was told by a former salesperson for this company that this is typical for this company. I strongly encourage you not to buy your pergolas from this company. They do n ot stand behind their work and their products are inferior. The wood they use is air dried not kiln dried and that makes a big difference. Please do yur homework there are many there reputable people that you can buy from you do not need to waste your money with this outfit. Steve

The building crew (Daniel, Carlos, Eric, Martin, and Axel) were competent, detail-oriented, and friendly. The subs used (roofing, gutters, electrical) did a good job on their work too. If it weren't for waiting for inspections and subs, the room would've been built in less than two weeks! It ended up taking less than a month and we're super pleased with the space. There were a few hiccups along the way--when aren't there?--but they were minor, handled swiftly, and not enough to prevent me from recommending Archadeck to others.

It looks great. I've gotten a couple of compliments on how good the deck looks. The people that I dealt with were nice. Downsides: - Platinum Deck is EXPENSIVE. The decks start at about $20,000. - The scheduler didn't communicate well. I had to contact him a couple of times to get updates on what was happening. - There was a scratch on a column so I asked them to replace the column. They did it quickly at no charge, but the new column also had a scratch on it. (Grrrr...) - The owner is obnoxious about getting five-star online reviews from customers. He contacted me a few times asking me to leave a review. He was pissing me off to the point that I was tempted to leave a bad online review because he was making me so angry. When you spend this much money on a deck, you shouldn't have to deal with someone badgering you to leave a review online.
