What a blessing that I contacted Swain Co. Mike Smith of the company inspected the issue proposed a fix that included a drainage system and sump pump. He also assured me that they could take care what ever issue they may find down there. His estimate was very reasonable. The work started when they said it would. WHAT A WEIGHT LIFTED FROM MY SHOULDERS. When the three man crew arrived and introduced themselves and the supervisor outlined what they would be doing and when they expected to complete the job. The supervisor, Efrain, and Salvador and Eddie gave me confidence I was in great hands. Now this is something you hardly ever hear anyone say anymore; but I have never seen three men work so hard and professionally as those three did. Efrain kept me totally abreast of the progress with before and after videos. I know I have restricted myself in the past to restaurant reviews as my wife and I are foodies. But I learned there are "artists" in other fields of work as well. Swain Co and their people are one class act as ND I would hghly recommend them for any crawl space, foundation or basement issues. You won't see them advertising on TV like other companies because they don't need to. Word of mouth by previous customer service have kept them very very busy.

Highly Recommend Everdry Waterproofing in Indianapolis, IN!…read more Everdry was great from start to finish. The initial consultation was clear and informative, and the rep made sure I understood all my options without any pressure. The crew showed up on time each day and completed the job in three days as promised. They kept everything clean and organized, and a rep called daily to check on the progress and my satisfaction. My basement is now dry, and I'm really happy with the results. Great service, great communication--I highly recommend them!

First, in digging around foundation, workers damaged gas line, and told me it 'probably' wasn't serious. Guess what, it was, and required evacuation and emergency repair to the tune of $700, which the fine folks at Everdry refused to compensate me for, claiming it was just coincidental that gas leak appeared when they dug a trench around my home. They also somehow lost wood baseboards, so part of the basement has them but part doesn't and, oh yeah, there's also a 6" x 8" hole in my drywall. I had sent photos to Quinton, but nothing was done. And they left my patio buried under inches of dirt, with heaps of brush and bushes and removed plastic and metal downspouts littering my lawn. After several calls, they sent someone to dig out the patio, but he refused to remove the piles of trash, claiming there was no proof it came from the excavation. My take is that Everdry is super service oriented until they get your money, then you're on your own.

The drain line came loose under ground causing my yard to wash away and create a large hole. I have been told since December I was in the schedule to have this issue resolved. As of this week they still haven't addressed the issue. We have now reached out to another company to address the poor workmanship that was provided . The sad part is they had no issue taking my money. May want to get Bids from other companies as this company does NOT stand behind their work.

We needed this done pretty quickly and other companies we had contacted were all booked up. I got in touch with this company and Marty gave me a call back and offered to come by in the evening after he was done with his last job of the day to take a look at this for us. Right then I knew we had picked the right company. As a business owner, I really appreciated him going this extra mile. Marty didn't have an opening until the following week but knowing we needed this done pretty quickly he got there to inspect our basement quickly. He was very knowledgeable and just a great guy! We would definitely recommend Marty and this company for any of your basement waterproofing needs!

    Acculevel - Helical pier ...

    Acculevel

First the backstory: We put a small room addition on our home 20 years ago. The room addition was…read morebuilt on a 4' crawl space foundation, while the older main house it butted up to had an 8' standard basement foundation. Over the years with the freeze/thaw in the ground, compounded by the dryness in recent years which shrinks the soil, the room addition was sinking ever so slightly at the end farthest from the main house ... 20 feet away. Sum and substance, the far end of the dining room had sunk about 1" causing it to pull away slightly from the main house at the roof line. We got five quotes to repair what had happened. Acculevel did the work to earn the job. The field agent for Acculevel (Dan) was excellent; he took his time and really went over the room addition in detail. He agreed with what the problem was and proposed a series of six helical piers on the exterior to stabilize the room and possibly lift it back up. His analysis was so thorough that he also found a foundation crack inside the crawl space that needed repair. Only one of the other firms that quoted on the job went to the effort Dan did. We decided to go with Acculevel. Acculevel was willing to negotiate some of the language on the contract, and this made it fair to both parties. They originally wanted 50% down, but since the job wasn't to be done until six months later in the Spring and they only needed to do permit work and an engineering report, we agreed to 25% down ... with the other 25% when we received a copy of the permit and engineering report. Very reasonable by all parties. Hint: Always read the contract ... because what's in there is for you and them. When the day came to do the job, the two employees they sent out ... Ricardo and Orlando ... were also tip-top. They worked hard and long hours, hand dug all the pits for the piers, set the piers in place and called it a day ... it was a 10-hour day not counting their travel time. The second day they screwed the piers into the ground (a couple were screwed in 17'), mounted the foundation brackets (essentially large heavy duty "L"-shaped brackets), and used bottle jacks to ratchet the brackets up firmly against the footing. After jacking the room up almost back to perfect, they back-filled, tamped, and replaced all the landscaping that had been disturbed. In the end, the room was stabilized and lifted back up to approximately where it had been before sinking. We did not see any wallboard cracks in the interior of the room, which is a small risk you run when you jack the room back up. As the contract stated, the work performed was warranted to stabilize the room, but not guaranteed to lift it back up. We were very happy with how it turned out. If we had to nit-pick anything, it would be dealing with the home office back in Rossville, Indiana. They are often hard to get a hold of ... you end up leaving messages and hoping for a return call. Acculevel serves six or so states and have been growing very fast, so they get some slack in this area. But we were so satisfied with the work and the result ... especially the field agent Dan and the workers Ricardo and Orlando ... we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

They completed work at my home three months ago, and almost immediately issues started coming up. I asked them to come back out to re-evaluate, and when they finally did, that visit went poorly and clearly needs to be redone. Since then, more than two months have passed with absolutely no effort on their part to correct the situation. Meanwhile, the problem has only continued to get worse. I have reached out repeatedly trying to get back on the schedule, and I've been met with delays, excuses, and empty promises. It's beyond frustrating at this point. What makes this even more upsetting is that I paid top dollar specifically because I wanted the job done correctly the first time. Instead, I'm left with worsening issues and zero accountability. Scott keeps saying he's "reaching out," but nothing ever actually happens. I'm exhausted from chasing a company I already paid. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and completely unacceptable.

As of the draft of this review, it has been less than one year since our system was purchased. This review has been posted after we have exhausted our options. We hired Erie Home Basement Solutions to abate mold in our crawlspace, encapsulate the floor and walls, and control the humidity. No part of the project met their proposed schedule. They claim the abatement was done, the smell is gone, and we can see the plastic they installed. As far as drying goes, no dehumidifier, so all summer the humidity in the crawlspace was 80-90%. It took 2 months for a representative to answer my calls (5) and has been another month with no proposal to fix the problem. When we finally got to talk to the service foreman, he claimed computer problems had stopped him receiving notifications. The service foreman finally came out and inspected the system. His proposal was to replace the fan unit with an improved design unit. The problem with the new unit is that monitoring and control are not available. Monitoring was the only way we knew there was a problem. He set up the original fan to run at maximum output and promised to propose installing a dehumidifier to the company. We communicated by text a few times then he stopped answering. All of this is started at about 7 months into our "Lifetime Warranty ". The mold seems to be gone, the floor & walls have been lined, but the crawlspace humidity is at or above atmospheric relative humidity. Beware of the sales tactics of this company & don't count on their warranty as real. We consulted another company to examine the work. Their estimate to do the same job was half of what we paid, and included a dehumidifier, because a dehumidifier is the design standard for our conditions. Part of our contract with EHBS was the assurance that we had "Lifetime Warranty" and that technical help was just a phone call away. Apparently, this was just HOKUM by a salesman who now, can't be found. UPDATE: Before posting this review, we continued trying to have EHBS respond. We finally got a texting chain with their field Supervisor, personable young man, but unable to get EHBS to provide the dehumidifier. After we purchased the dehumidifier ourselves, another $2000.00, EHBS agreed to install the dehumidifier at no cost and replace the fan for their system with the fan they originally proposed, no monitor and control. We had to provide monitor and control of the dehumidifier, another $150.00 added to the base price. Based on the response from EHBS, we consider their warranty to be in violation of the contract we signed. We will, if the need arises, attempt follow the procedures for warranty repairs and replacement. We have no idea how this company maintains their rating with the Better Business Bureau, considering our experience with EHBS. Erie Home is the EH, and BS is what we got.
