The offer was more than fair. Once I confirmed to go ahead with the project, they arrived the same day to do the bulk of the work. The tree was successfully brought down despite there being power lines in the way, with no property damage or any accidents. Some logs were left behind, but they were removed several days later as is often the case with jobs like this. Other than a small divot in the lawn where the tree came down, you'd hardly know the tree had been recently removed. So overall, very happy with the work done. That being said, whenever you hire a contractor to do something like this, always get everything (including the price, timeline, specifics and their signature) written down to cover yourself. I'm not victim-blaming the negative reviews here, but cynicism and paperwork are your friends.

THEY WORKED THEIR BUTTS OFF. They must have burned 5,000 calories each taking my dangerous tree down. I haven't been this impressed by a company from quote to set up to clean up to payment. I keep telling my wife two things. A) I can't believe how good they were and B) how did they really remove the stump that well? I'm basically in shock at how lucky I got finding this company. The problem was our well pit cover is right in the middle of it and the area wasn't level. Local Choice suggested pavers because they could be removed and replaced if access was needed. They also said if that happened they would be happy to reset them for us. They came almost a week early and did the job in one afternoon. They leveled the area, cut the pavers, ran a pipe for the gutter downspout under the ground and cleaned up after themselves. The associates were very polite and efficient. They made sure their work truck and trailer were off the road for traffic. I have no complaints about the end product. We were going to attempt to do it ourselves but we're glad we chose some pros! Will be using them again to paver the back patio next!

We called CORRIGAN and he took no responsibility but said he could redo it for $5000. We agreed reluctantly. It now exhibits substantial cracking and breaking pieces. It appears that CORRIGAN does not have any employees. Rather he seems to be a middle man, subcontracting any job he gets, while approximately doubling the subcontracting fee. This has value if he utilizes competent subcontractors. Unfortunately it was not the case in either instance. You can use Google to search for a contractor, close your eyes, point at the screen, and have a better chance of finding a competent contractor than by calling CORRIGAN. Even if you pointed at poor choice, you could repeat the process and find another contractor while likely spending less money than you paid CORRIGAN

KlausLarsen Roofing began work on a neighbors roof in Suffield, CT May 28, 2026 without pulling a…read morepermit. The homeowner is well known as a bigot. I noticed workers stripping the roof into my backyard without permission. When I went out to speak to the workers, none spoke English. Site manager Mark Libiszewski came over and I explained he didn't ask permission and does not have permission to strip the haters roof onto our property. The bigot called police. That is when it was discovered no roofing permit had been pulled. Site manager blamed it on a 3rd party error. Police explained [on video + audio] work came to a halt & once a permit is pulled work will resume within 10 to 14 days. The site manager will come to my house prior to work starting and touch base. No stripping will be done on our property but workers will come over to pickup errant debris and nail sweep with a magnet. Five days later, June 2, I noticed tarps, plywood, and workers stripping the neighbors roof into our yard. When I walked over to confront the same site manager the tarps were coming down as the roof was speed stripped by the hard-working crew. I reiterated to Mark he did not have permission to strip the bigots roof onto our property and if he needed that kind of access we should be compensated for it. Mark said he had no authority to compensate and they always go onto other peoples property when needed. Mark also said Suffield Police said we gave permission and insinuated I was calling police a liar. I subsequently called KlausLarsen office and spoke to Cora, Production Department, who told me I need to speak to Joanie Dunstan Mgr. Two days later I connected with Joanie who had to speak to someone else and then would call my son who owns the property. Needless to say my son is still waiting for a call. In summary, KlausLarsen did not pull a proper permit initially, feels entitled to send equipment & crew onto other peoples property without permission even when told not to. We inadvertently helped a bigot get his roof done by a crew of foreign hard workers he despises and our yard was the receptacle for the bigots roof trash. I cannot speak to pricing or quality of work but I can speak to the unprofessional and disrespectful manner in which we were treated.

Fortunately they had fallen on the ground, causing no property damage. I called Andrew, of Trout Brook Landscaping to take down the damaged branches. Andrew has done tree removal previously on my property and on my parent's, so I knew he would be the perfect man for the job. He immediately came with his equipment, and took down the heavy tree branch, and he cut down the damaged branches off the dogwood tree. He of course cleaned up all of the tree debris.
