After reaching out to have Amber return to daycare with a veterinary clearance, we received the following e-mail: Hi, We hope you guys had a wonderful weekend. We miss Amber as well and are happy to hear that her vet doesn't have any concerns. That being said, daycare can be extremely active, and messy as well during play (when pools are out, mud, etc), and we would never want Amber to get further hurt or sick in a vulnerable state. Due to her extreme and sudden onset of medical issues, we feel as a team that we can no longer provide the level of specific care Amber needs at this time. As much as we would love to continue seeing her, we feel that it would not be the best decision for her medically. I appreciate your understanding, I apologize for the inconvenience, and wish you all the best. WTF??? Is upper management now veterinarians too? Who are you to override a veterinary clearance? We thought that is why you have EVERYONE sign a waiver which releases you from liability. What we see here is ageism plain & simple - you do not want to attend to a senior dog who can walk, run & play because you have no staff and cannot be bothered oh, by the way, this is after we, as loyal clients did not sue you after our dog was severely attacked at daycare by a bully dog who had only just joined. Yes, we are loyal clients, we came back, we recommended you to others, you used our dog as a test dog for meets & greets with potential new clients! We have never been in arrears for payment, oh wait, we actually paid in advance! This is NOT how you treat clients! We will be taking our loyalty, money & sweet girl elsewhere, this is all on you, you should be ashamed as there is no reason why she cannot come back, but after the way you just treated us, never again at UCA.

When I return, they always seem to be glad to see me, but a little reluctant to leave. Kevin and Jeannette are always ready to work with me, for example my dogs love frozen Brussels sprouts. The kennel has a freezer; the sprouts I provide can be stored so my boys can get their evening treat. Fees are reasonable. Care is extraordinary.

I moved to Saratoga in September with the idea that my dogs would be in Boarding for a couple weeks while we waited for our house to close. Those couple of weeks turned into two months. My four dogs, my babies, needed to live somewhere other than by my side for that time because of my temporary housing. Kevin and Jeanette took care of them as if they were their own. I have two pit bulls, Gracie and Sunny, and 2 senior dogs, Howie the Chihuahua mix and LeRoy the cocker spaniel. They didn't hesitate to take my pit bulls and they were kind enough to allow all of my dogs to stay in the same run. They provided continuous bedding, even when my girls tore up the blankets. They fed them, walked them, and loved them. I knew that my babies were loved when I went to visit and the dogs would go to Kevin or Jeanette for cookies and kisses. I've visited multiple times during the week to walk my dogs out in the woods or on the 40 acres of their ranch. Kevin texted me constantly with updates about their health and behavior. When Leroy got an ear infection or when the pitties were acting out, I heard about it immediately. These folks alleviated some stress from a very trying situation. I cannot express enough how grateful I am that people like Kevin and Jeanette run a kennel like this. I will use Burnt Hills boarding kennel for as long as I live in this area. P.S. I do not work for this business. I am a teacher who moved to this area two months ago and had to call around to all of the kennels in the area to find a place for my dogs.

I was weepy, because my toddler and puppy were being separated for the first time - Denise reassured us, and said text anytime! We got pictures and updates our whole trip, and when our pick up time had to be moved because we got stuck in traffic, it wasn't a big deal. The little boarding report card was adorable, and because our pup has nervous/excitement pees, Denise referred us to a trainer/dog psychologist that might be able to help. Our other dogs, boarded other places, have come home with cuts, ticks, smelling bad, or almost all the food we sent - this is the first time we haven't had anything to remedy once we got home. We had a person who would stay in the house for several years with them. However, she retired, so we were left trying other boarding facilities. Our pups always came how smelling awful from the stark conditions in which they were boarded. Our new pups have only been boarded at one other place, which we did not care for, so based on a recommendation from our niece, we called Alex and Alena for boarding for our recent vacation. It turned out to be the best call ever. They are the new owners who recently took over the operation, which is fantastic. We were escorted on a tour of the facilities and blown away. A huge play area where they provide daycare and dogs can mingle. Boarding accommodations are excellent, with beds and exceptionally clean, climate control, and even ceiling fans. You would never know they had been boarded when we picked them up. They were clean and didn't have that boarded odor. The best part for us is that the operation is at their home. Unlike other places, they don't lock up and leave the pups overnight. They are there! They play, walk, and care for the dogs every day. They are truly caring and amazing people. We wish them many years of success and look forward to boarding with them whenever we leave. In fact, we already booked our next visit. In our opinion, there are not enough stars in the universe to award them with!
