I give them 10/10 stars! I recently moved to the area and was initially hesitant about switching vets because we loved our previous vet in the valley. However, a couple of months ago, my dog, Banx, needed to be seen as soon as possible. After checking Paw Priority's Yelp reviews, we scheduled an appointment and haven't looked back since. The entire staff, from the front desk to the nursing team and the veterinarian, is amazing. You can truly tell that they care about the animals they treat, and their commitment is genuine. Their prices are reasonable, and I trust their opinions completely. It's safe to say that I'll be saving time and gas now that I don't have to travel to the valley for appointments.

    My sweet little dog

This is the veterinarian that we need in LA! Dr. Ezra is friendly and nice and his team (shoutout to Jose and Rebecca and Diana) are all great. They take great notes, follow up quickly with enthusiasm and care and are just the BEST vet locally I've found. I feel lucky to have discovered the practice and my dog is thankful too.

And your pet gets a little card the first time you go!

How could I not give a 5-star review after getting free medication for my cat and curbside service? That kind of generosity is rare these days. Please don't assume you'll get the same thing, but the fact that this was even possible tells you everything you need to know about Paw Priority -- they truly go above and beyond for their clients. Highly recommended.

They come out after every visit to tell me how much they love her, even though I know she's giving them attitude the whole time. They're patient with her and make sure she's comfortable no matter what. Special shout out to Dr. Uematsu and Dexter for the amazing care!! They keep me updated every step of the way, so I never feel like I'm in the dark about what's happening with my cat. They explain things in detail, but not SO much where I'm overwhelmed. They've really just been so amazing! One more huge plus: they work directly with Trupanion's insurance software, so I don't even have to file the claim myself. They submit it on their end, and mine was preapproved within five minutes. That kind of efficiency takes so much stress off an already stressful vet visit! It also lessens the deposit needed. Highly recommend MASH to anyone who wants a team that genuinely cares about their pet and makes the whole process easy!

I brought my dog here because I needed an emergency ultrasound after finding a large mass on his spleen earlier that morning. They were kind enough to fit us in for a last-minute ultrasound (for a $255 emergency appointment fee). The ultrasound confirmed that the mass had already ruptured. I asked if they could operate that same night. I was told it would cost at least another $4,000 to do it that night. Instead, they scheduled a pre-operative consultation for the following day (another $255), and surgery would have taken place the day after that even tho they knew my dog was already bleeding internally (they gave me anti hemorrhage herb supplements for $67) Right after he was discharged, he started urinating dark brown. I immediately came back to let them know. Their response was essentially, "We'll stick to the game plan. We'll see you tomorrow for the first consultation. Fortunately, my first vet choice, called me back early Monday morning and after I explained the situation. Their response was: "We need to operate immediately." They came to my house to pick up my dog at no charge, performed another ultrasound at no charge, and took him straight into surgery without asking for a single dollar upfront. The surgery was successful. Afterward, the surgeon told me that if we had waited one more day, my dog likely would not have survived. I'm not writing this to hurt this establishment. The staff was very friendly, as you would expect when you're paying nearly $1,000 for an emergency visit and ultrasound. I'm writing this to help anyone who may find themselves in the same situation. If your pet has a life-threatening emergency, trust your instincts and act fast. For me, choosing Sevilla Veterinary Hospital saved my dog's life.

Stacy was able to get an IV line into him when I was ready to give up. They not only took care of my pet but they reached out to care for me-offering blankets (Clarissa!), tissues and coffee/water as well as comfort. When I got there, vet techs were waiting for me. Some of them took her back, and one took my story on what happened, and her symptoms. I had to call Pet Poison Line so they could tell the vets how to treat her-that's fine-and they wanted to do a full workup on her since she is 12. I said that's fine, that's what insurance is for. It was about 11pm when I was sent home to rest while they took care of her. At about two, they called me to tell me that she survived the nightshade poisoning, but they had found a thicker spot in her intestines in the x-ray, and they wanted to do follow-up images in the morning, so I got another estimate for them to keep her til the next day and run another round of x-rays and do an ultrasound. She stayed and I went back to sleep. In the morning, a very kind vet whose name I don't remember called me and went over what is happening and why that spot could be there. She gave me advice on how to proceed after today. She asked what food my cat eats so they could give it to her there too. I was kept in the loop the whole time from when I got there to when I picked her up at 4:30pm. It set me back about $3500. Thank God for pet insurance. But considering all they did and the overnight stay, not terrible. My cat's idiocy may have saved her bacon if we caught something early, but so did True Care's thoroughness.

This week, however, I had an interaction that made me a little embarrassed that I have not reviewed them in the past. My very old cat had an emergency GI issue (aka the dreaded "very expensive bowel movement") -- after a long night at MASH, I brought her in to WHAH for a follow up the next day, and then for a second follow up the day after that. Doctors Hammer and Chapman were beyond excellent -- both spent an insane amount of time going over every facet of the issue and potential treatment plan (and, frankly, calming my own wrecked nerves). Gio and Karen, the techs were also fabulous -- patient not only with my cranky cat, but with me. Everyone was extremely attentive, from consultation to follow-ups (both via phone and email). They were completely patient about going over pricing (which was extremely fair, especially considering the level of service). This is the first real "medical situation" I've had with my cat -- it's been mostly check-ups to this point -- and it was a perfect example of why WHAH is such a wonderful place. I couldn't have asked for better veterinary care (with a side of human therapy thrown in). I would never want to bring an animal to any other practice in LA. I really don't have enough good things to say about the team here -- these guys are truly THE BEST.

The veterinarian Dr Kumar, who treated my friend's dog was excellent, which gave me confidence to schedule one of my cats for a visit. However, as I was leaving, I clocked a referral to an after-hours care facility that's notorious for malpractice and misdiagnoses putting pets at risk, including one of my own, and that was deeply concerning. When I brought this up to the front desk staff member, I was met with immediate EYE ROLLS and a patronizing attitude. I explained that the after-hours facility had nearly killed my cat in the past, and instead of taking my concerns seriously, the staff member dismissed me with a flippant, "people say that," and rolled her freaking eyes. This dismissive response was not only frustrating but also deeply troubling. If I'm not the first to say this based on first hand experience (FYI I'M AN ANIMAL CARE SPECIALIST) then maybe believe people! I do have a review with receipts from the horrific experience at TC! After the visit, i took a moment to reflect on that experience. I decided to cancel my appointment, I cannot support a practice that endorses sending anyone's pets to TC! When I called apparently I got the same staff member... did I get a "any reason for the cancelation?" Nope I got asked, "how is [cat's name] doing? My response "I'm taking him somewhere else." I'm not sure if she was attempting concern but it didn't come across and I have zero incentive to give any further information. This combination of an honestly dangerous referral and the front desk's dismissive attitude completely shattered my trust in the practice. I sincerely hope the practice takes this feedback seriously and makes meaningful improvements. 3 stars for Kumar, but the front desk person ruined it and I don't want my pets anywhere near someone like that!

He ended up kicking me out because I asked too many questions (blessing in disguise!). I don't want to go in depth because it's not that important at this point. I will say that I came in for a fox tail removal, and he started telling me my dog needs a teeth cleaning for $200. He even told me that poor dental health can lead to DEATH... but that people don't list it because 'they' don't want to scare anyone. I told him that a vet I recently saw said that my dog won't need a teeth cleaning for at least another year and he started bashing on him asking how old that vet was and that he was inexperienced for saying that. ?? Yet I asked the vet at the urgent care I ended up bringing my pup to and he was like that's absolutely not true- it's mostly a profit push for most vets! Not saying that my dog doesn't need a teeth cleaning, but he won't need one for another 3 years... his teeth are not that bad. I asked him if he was going to examine my pup's foot, and he goes "what do you think i was just doing?". Well, all you did was touch his paw for a second (literally one second) and wrote something down... so no you did not examine his foot. Any question I asked he would get very annoyed as if I was offending him and he would constantly say that he's been doing this for 40+ years so I shouldn't be questioning him. Also, I read some other reviews saying that the office is creepy, and yeah it totally is. Gave very bad vibes from the start. There are other good vets around LA, spend your money/time somewhere else. Just because you've been doing this for years doesn't mean you're the best one!!
