    Day 2- ready to treat
    Seven G.

Scotty my beloved service dog beagle just had two benign tumours removed. A smaller one at the base of his tail and one on his side. Once Dr Christian opened him up, and it was no longer compressed, this growth turned out to be even bigger than a grapefruit. The surgery proved challenging, when he discovered just how deeply attached this fatty deposit was. A lesser surgeon would have struggled to remove it all. And you can find some cheaper vets in LA, but if you want to have priceless peace of mind about your furry friend, this vet practice is the place. Scotty is healing beautifully and now he no longer looks pregnant & is starting to move like a happy show pony.

History of beloved pets remain ashes in a wooden box, but Priscilla's was delivered in the cardboard tube

As we all know, our pets mean everything to us and Sadly to say December 2025 we had to say goodbye to our beloved too pets within the same week just two weeks before Christmas. As you know how painful that can be, but you would think Cahuenga Veterinary hospital would provide you with the best service to the customer. Sadly to say that the service I receive the first beloved animal that we had to put down was sent to one cremation company and receive Their ashes in a wooden box And a memory Paul print of the animal, which is correct. But the other beloved pet was sent to a different And we did not get the service that we were promised Pick up the remaining ashes at Cahuenga veterinary Hospital location It was partly delivered by Uber to our location residence . And Upsetting issue is knowing that the remains was tossed around in a vehicle and not What and how the remains were treated for delivery will gets to me when I receive the remaining ashes It was not sent in the wooden box instead it was partly place in a cardboard tube like and admit did not mean anything to that and Sadly I did not receive the memory paw print of my poor loving animal. Therefore, as I would At my loving pet for the rest of my life, I have that missing memory paw print, and knowing the ashes are in a cardboard tube and not treated as a special pet in the wooden box hurts very much. I did not recommend any customer to take to animal if you have to say those last moments to have treasure of them at this location.

Neighbors have used it, that's how I was introduced and they were very pleased - their pet had an amputation. Then, my senior car needed several teeth extracted, so I can speak from first-hand experience that Dr. C is very astute and thorough. I'm grateful they are in my neighborhood. Hang onto your printed quotes and receipts - that is essential. THINGS TO NOTE: 1. You MUST participate in the text message confirmation process for appts - you cannot opt out (see picture). 2. Parking is outdoors and limited, but QUIET AREA so street parking (no meters) is just as convenient. 3. Lobby is nice - restroom and wifi. They have an online pharmacy too which is very convenient. 4. Close to a Pavilions grocery store, great if you've waited long and need a quick meal and/or pet food.

My vet who had handled my various cats for 20+ years retired and recommended Cahuenga Veterinary. The staff here are beyond nice. I'm always greeted with smiles and their love for animals are apparent. My cat Beatrice is 18 years old and dr. Croquenois has been amazing in caring for my cat. She has hyperthyroidism and he's helped recommend all the right things that has helped her get even stronger and improve her quality of life while living with this condition. I love this place, the staff, and the vet. All solid. Changing from a vet that I loved was sort of scary for me - and after going to Cahuenga veterinary now for over a year I fully trust them with advice and care. Highly highly recommend.

    Cyst on cats lip
    Donya B.

Dr. C and his staff were absolutely amazing!! My cat had a cyst on his lip that I wanted removed and they made sure that my baby had perfect labs and recommended an EKG before putting him under anesthesia. While under, he also got his teeth cleaned and a tooth extracted. My cats lip healed so well and I'm behind happy with the results!

Honestly, I did not have high expectations for this vet. I do not know the area too well but by driving around, it doesn't look like an area I would be frequenting. I assumed the inside of this place would be like a run down county clinic deep in the trenches of Los Angeles. Which I've had my fair share of experiencing back in the days. I was so wrong! This place is so awesome. The girls at the front desk are so sweet and attentive! I had a lot of questions every visit, I never had a puppy before and I was really anxious about making sure she was healthy. They always answered everything very patiently and had the best attitude. Since I do not live close I would have to call over the phone for vaccination records to enroll my puppy into classes etc and I even changed her name and they'd always answer my calls and email over anything I needed. The customer service has been exceptional. I would come here simply for that alone. They decorated the office so nice, it looks newly remodeled. The waiting lobby is small but comfy. They do not push for any specific food brands which is refreshing. They always call to remind you of an appointment. The people and their dogs that I've seen here all are very friendly and it looks like everyone comes for routine and not because their dogs are sick. I love that! The prices are fair, they're not low by any means but they're not outrageous. I find them to be decent for the services. I really appreciate the care they provided for my girl, she was here quite a few times due to being a puppy. We now go to a place closer to home because I don't live in Los Angeles. It's honestly the only reason. But I highly recommend this place to anyone in LA looking for a good vet!

We kept coming back for the convenient location--until today. I arrived 15 minutes early for my dog's 2:30 PM appointment. At check-in, the front desk (Crystal) asked me to prepay, which was new to me. When I asked what services were included, she said only vaccines. I had previously requested microchipping a week ago, but that wasn't noted. She mentioned a 3 PM cancellation slot, but I told her to hold off since I couldn't stay much longer. After waiting over an hour, I asked a different tech about the delay. Then Crystal blurted she had moved my appointment to 3 PM to include all services--something she NEVER communicated; which I pointed out to her, I asked to speak with a supervisor and continued waiting. We were finally taken to a room, and 15 minutes later (total of 1hr 15min LATER) , the doctor entered and accused *ME* of being disrespectful to her staff--which is completely FALSE. I believe the front staff member BLATANTLY LIED to cover her own condescending and unprofessional behavior. I was upfront with the doctor and encouraged her to review the cameras. As a business owner myself, I know you never put a customer on the defensive--especially when your feelings are hurt because someone called out poor service. That's a training issue, not mine. This experience was not only upsetting but also makes me question how much the doctors enable their staff's mediocrity. The lack of communication, professionalism, and customer service is evident from the moment you walk in. I stand by my word: !!! review the cameras!!! I was never disrespectful--not once.

Before we could consider putting Coffee in any procedure we made sure to do some tests. Less than 24 hours later the vet called us to immediately request us to come back to explain the results. The results, while devastating, was handled with vigilance and care. The vet gave me time to cry afterwards in the room. They did all they could for my boy. Because I had to go to work/could not cancel, I opted to do the day after. The estimate at MASH is $6,000-8,000 but here it was around $4500. I dropped my cat off early on Wednesday for his check-up, test, and surgery. Ultimately, they disagreed with the vets at MASH and said my cat had no crystals either in x-ray or in his urinalysis but did have a UTI which contributed to a second blockage (bladder overflow). They kept him for 48-hours to unblock and recover. This cost around $2K. At MASH where he had done the same 2 days earlier, it was $6K When MASH returned my cat, he was rough. He reeked of pee, his face was completely crusted/sticky with dried medicine, his fur was full of shed, and he was lethargic and in pain despite all the medicines. When Affordable returned him, my cat was bright and energetic. They clearly took care of him (he smelled like a baby wipe). It has been about a week since I brought him home, but I knew immediately that he was feeling better the day I picked him up. Now, he has completely recovered. Back to flinging himself around and meowing at 4 am. I am incredibly grateful to this hospital for their responsiveness, flexibility, affordability, and the kindness they showed my cat. I was worried that I would end up losing my cat (I had paid nearly $7K at MASH and he wasn't better) if he blocked again, but Dr. Barrera said that I should "give my cat a chance." He said that it is what he would do if it were his cat. I'm grateful that I did because it saved him from unnecessary surgeries. My cat was seen by Dr. Forsythe and Dr. Barrera and they both were very kind and gentle with him. I do see what some reviews mean about their disorganization. They forgot to call me to update me that he wasn't getting the surgery but would need to be hospitalized. I had to call them, but it turned out that Dr. Forsythe had gotten very sick. He returned my call despite being audibly quite sick and given that my cat needed the hospitalization anyways (and he was fine), I can see how it slipped through the cracks. They seem to accommodate all kinds of emergencies as best as they can, so I think a little disorganization is totally ok. I do think Dr. Forsythe needs a new phone. It sounded like he was calling from a remote cabin or from a phone that fell off a cliff. I had to listen to the voicemail at max volume more than once. I will likely return again/switch my primary vet to this one because it is closer, cheaper, and I had a great experience. And apparently, my shy scaredy cat enjoyed the attention he received here. There are some more "affordable" vets but in terms of quality/expertise, this hospital is well worth the price. When I called around to vets in Los Angeles for cystotomy prices, Ambassador Dog & Cat Hospital were the only ones that actually do it (many don't update their sites) that are near me (don't have a car) and their estimated price was also the same $4500. They are also roughly the same prices of my long-time vet (Beverly Robertson, wonderful, estimated $4K for procedure) and especially after going to MASH, these prices might as well be pennies. CareCredit is accepted basically everywhere, but what's nice about this hospital is that they accept ScratchPay which is a god send for emergency vet loans. This hospital is in an old building, but is still very nice and clean. Maybe not as sparkling as a brand new facility, but on par with the vets I've gone to over my lifetime.

The clinic also reviewed and validated the rabies certificate over email without charging us. As someone who does not own a dog and was trying to handle this on behalf of my brother in law, I was feeling very overwhelmed. So happy that my dog can finally come back with me to the motherland for the holidays after 11 years. Super thankful for Dr. Nassi and team's assistance on checking the requirements for pet export, facilitating the FAVN testing, filling out the international health certificate, and submitting for USDA endorsement. The whole process was long and pricey but definitely worth it in the end.
