They also said Hobey had been to the vet and it was determined that she was 8 years old and that I wouldn't have to pay an adoption fee because Honey was an older dog and I was 65 years old. I told them I had already left and wouldn't return until July 10. She said they could board the dog for $10 per day but never said anything about paying in advance. I never heard anything else until July 4 when I was informed that in order to hold Honey I would need to pay for the boarding up front. Why wasn't I informed of this on July 1? Then they sent a link for fastpayments.com and not bluetails. I again informed them I would not be paying any money in advance. At that point I was told Honey would need to be relisted and they would continue processing applications. And then Courtney sent me this after I told her it all sounded like a scam since I had never met Hobey in person, This is Courtney the founder of Bluetails. We have a very high reputation in our community. We take payments up front because PEOPLE always try to get a dog for free, or watch it for free etc. Feel free to call the Jefferson Parish animal shelter or the LASPCA and ask about our credibility. But at this point I think we're past the point of no return. This is the kind of gratitude we get for having a program for seniors. I booked ( through the online portal) the days I needed her to visit the kitties ( I have 2 persian cats). Each visit is 30 minutes and costs around $20 per visit and then an extra $3 per cat. I document each cats details on the portal as well as instructions for them to follow. Updates are sent through the customer portal. I always feel as ease knowing that my kitties are being taken care of. They send daily updates through the portal with cute pics of your pet. I Just have to mention that when Hurricane Barry was said to impact New Orleans, my hubby and i decided to leave because we have a newborn and couldn't risk staying in New Orleans. I called Sarah the day we left and asked her if she could see to the cats while we were away and she agreed too. She is truly our life saver. We played it by ear and because the storms weren't too bad she was able to check on them daily keeping me informed the entire time. She even picked up my packages for me at no additional cost as this was separate visit. If you are considering their services, don't hesitate and book it now. They ignored us. I felt very comfortable to leave them. They were there for four days and when we went to pick up our dogs They walked to the car and got in.
