Tyler was really helpful and went above and beyond. Prices are what they are but lots of clearance areas. Store was clean and inviting if not really bright inside! No kitties today but l saw lots of fish, birds, guinea pigs... I just love adding an outing like this with my dog after our hike. Sunday is her day!

Bad Experience:…read more What was supposed to be a fun day for my son and choosing his first pet hampster today with the money he saved turned out to be a very bad experience. We went into the PetSmart in Kanata on his school break, we spoke to the associate Brianna about purchasing a dwarf hamster because my daughter bought one the previous week she informed us that they can't live together in the same cage. I said ok and asked some more questions, she then told me I would need to buy its own cage and she told me their cages ranged from $80-$100 I went to look at them, but then decided to check another stores website and I found a kit for $40. I went back to Brianna and told her we wanted to purchase the hampster and we were going to get the cage on the way home and she said NO, go do your shopping and come back. I told her that would not work for us because I needed to stop on my way home because my son needs to get back for his school. She said NO again and that was my only option. We ended up leaving and at this point my son was crying and I did not want to purchase from PetSmart but he was so upset that I decided to drive him home, go out by the cage then return back to buy it. Again I got Brianna and she was very rude asking my over and over did you buy a cage, I eventually responded back yes as I was signing my paperwork. First things first my son's experience was ruined because I ended up having to chose the hampster & secondly the treatment I received because I would not purchase the cage from her was unacceptable. Very upset mom

If I could give zero stars, I would. Pet owners deserve to know what happened here…read more I brought my cat in for a simple grooming service -- a belly trim and nail clipping. The entire appointment lasted five minutes, yet I was charged $96. My cat was returned to me with loose fur still hanging from her belly, knots still present, and her nails untrimmed, despite being billed for them. But the worst part came after we got home. My cat had a one‑inch cut under her right front leg -- in the exact area the groomer shaved. This wound required stitches. We do not shave or groom our cat at home, so the injury could only have occurred during the appointment. When I contacted the business, instead of taking responsibility, they attempted to deflect blame and suggest the injury happened elsewhere. The photos clearly show the shaved patch and the cut in the same location. Their explanation was not only inaccurate -- it was dismissive and unprofessional. A rushed five‑minute service, incomplete grooming, a serious injury, and then an attempt to deny responsibility. Pet owners should be aware of this before trusting this facility with their animals. I strongly advise others to think twice before booking here.

Everything is great there. They should allow the regular dog campers on their regular days. Do not punish the regular customers!

Read on My wife got everything done by email for are 2 dogs to stay here. The morning of are trip she email the dogs medical info and asked if there was anything we needed to bring or need to know before we go. We were told no and they would see us later. Being are first time there we showed up around 2 not knowing there are special drop off times. The owner was rude from the start and wanted us to pay $31.00 to drop off the dogs early and that we should no this as it's on the email. I started to asked my wife to take a look at the emails and the owner didn't let me finish my conversation with my wife when she went nuts screaming at us and getting in our face. I keep asking if I could finish my conversation but she keep freaking out saying no and telling us to pay the $31 or get out of her property. If she would have let me finish I would have said if it's on the email i have no issues paying it. We ended up leaving as her verbal harassment was to much. We later check all email correspondence and the only thing is a small signature block with the time they are open. There was nothing in regards to a early drop off fee or a fee if you show up at a deferent time. When then went to Hwy 7 pet retreat unannounced. It was not a drop off time but they were very helpful and kind and had room for our dogs. Since it was our first time there they took the time with a smile to explain how it works there. Oh ya no extra charge. One must not forget that this is a service oriented business that should be handled with poise and a smile. Thank you for reading this review.
