I don't think many people realize what it's like to be a veterinarian let alone a mobile vet. You get compassion fatigue and it is impossible to save and treat every single animal even though you want to. You have to set boundaries and it's an extremely hard job. I tried it out by volunteering at a veterinarian office, and I volunteer from time to time at rescues. You see some rough stuff and it really down right hurts. It's not all fluffy kittens and cute puppies. If you are a new client, your pet has to be looked over for underlining issues before being treated. I have so much respect for Genevieve and her assistant and they are hands down the best and most caring. They have been coming to my house for years. They have seen me at my worst moment, when helping my 16 year old kitty cross over the rainbow bridge. If I could give them 1,000 stars I would. I have NEVER had a billing issue and the service she provides is worth every single penny!! I honestly believe they deserve more. I am so thankful for them and the service they provide.

here is the crooks bill for a call for a dog with a broken leg to be put down. she really needed a heartworm test before being euthanized

I checked in with a few groomers in the area, and really liked Krista here. So, for my dog's first…read moregrooming service in Virginia, I selected The Grooming Station. When I brought my dog in, I talked with Krista (who was very friendly for this part!) for about 10 minutes about what I wanted. I was very clear about having her hair cut "very very short- not completely shaved, but almost". She seemed to know exactly what I was talking about, what a lion cut typically looks like, and what I wanted specifically. When I returned a few hours later, my dog was brought out- and you could barely tell she had been trimmed. She's a pomeranian, and her hair was still 3 inches long all over! Krista commented "Oh did you want it shorter than that?" but seemed very uninterested. When I turned my dog around, I saw that her entire backside was covered in dried poop! WHAT? Krista had answered the phone and was talking with another client by this point. I pointed out my dog's mess, and she picked up a huge towel, put a tiny bit of water on it, and lazily wiped her butt. I was just in disbelief that she didn't seem surprised or to care at all (we had already paid for the service at this time, so I guess she had what she needed already). I took my dog and just left, still poop-covered. I have never in my life picked up my dog from a groomer, to discover that she is covered in poop. And I have also never experienced a groomer who didn't seem to notice or care about something like that!
