I would never go back here to their brick and mortar building. Their prices were double what other veterinarians charge. And when I went to have my cat put done the first thing out of their mouths, without me asking yet was a litany of prices and then said the vet maybe decide not to put her down! Huh? I guess a gimmick to have you continually come back ($) however they didn't even ask what was wrong with my cat!!! Just rambled off the above. The front desk had a personality of a wet sponge- and this is a caring animal practice! I did go elsewhere where the practice was more concerned about me losing my cat vs the charges. I don't think many people realize what it's like to be a veterinarian let alone a mobile vet. You get compassion fatigue and it is impossible to save and treat every single animal even though you want to. You have to set boundaries and it's an extremely hard job. I tried it out by volunteering at a veterinarian office, and I volunteer from time to time at rescues. You see some rough stuff and it really down right hurts. It's not all fluffy kittens and cute puppies. If you are a new client, your pet has to be looked over for underlining issues before being treated. I have so much respect for Genevieve and her assistant and they are hands down the best and most caring. They have been coming to my house for years. They have seen me at my worst moment, when helping my 16 year old kitty cross over the rainbow bridge. If I could give them 1,000 stars I would. I have NEVER had a billing issue and the service she provides is worth every single penny!! I honestly believe they deserve more. I am so thankful for them and the service they provide. read more

I moved to the Rustburg area in 2021 and needed to find a mobile vet since my cat does not travel well in the car. I was surprised that the vet would not see my cat inside my house as she is very skiddish. I could not catch her, so she was not seen. I had to leave my service dog with the vet and her assistant while I tried to catch my cat, and when I got back to the van without the cat, my dog was all too eager to get out of the van. She never reacted that way when she was seen by our previous mobile vet. Unfortunately I was not able to stay and watch how they treated my dog, so I don't know what scared her. I specifically asked for a heartworm test so I could refill my prescription for Heartgard. They tested my dog and received a negative test that day, so I thought I was good to go to place the order. When I placed the order through Chew.com, I asked them to contact the vet. When they did, the vet said I needed me to get a prescription from her!!! I told her specifically I needed the test to get more Heartgard, so why didn't she leave the prescription with me that day?! On another occasion, I asked for the vet to stop by when they were in the area and tell me if a mole/growth on my dog's leg should be removed. If they said yes, I'd schedule an appt to have it removed. They refused to stop by and said I had to set up an appt for her to just look at the growth, then if necessary, make another appt to have it removed. I found that to be unreasonable, and now feel this vet is more money oriented than customer oriented. read more

My family had the difficult job of choosing to euthanize our dog. He was very elderly and had numerous health problems. We didn't want for his last moments to be a fearful visit to the vet and we elected to call Pawprints to perform the procedure at our home. While such a tragic event is never pleasant, Pawprints was so kind and patient with us. The staff explained everything and were so helpful! Our dog was happy and comfortable in his last moments. I just Texted this company about care for my elderly dog. They stated they service the Madison Heights area. My address is a Madison Heights address but they refuse to help me. I was honest & told them I live in Elon which is within the Madison Heights address area. They said they wouldn't service us which is their prerogative but not very fair. she came for my dog which I thought had been possibly hit with what appeared to be a broken leg. instead of x-raying the leg first which required sedation and shaving possibly she runs up a bill for over 1000.00 which included alll this blood work -0even a heart worm test. the leg was so badly broken that the dog would have had to go out of town as no vet hear could repair the 2 breaks so we put her down. if she had just done the X-ray and told me how bad it was I would have gladly paid all the charges involved. the expensive extensive blood work was not needed for an X-ray and we would have known all we needed to know. she is a greedy crook as far as I am concerned. in 2021 we asked them to come over and give our dogs a bordatella shot so we could board them while on vacation. We told her they had been given all shots except bordatella so that was all we needed. She proceeded to do heart worm tests gave the 3 others shots and did a complete checkup on all 3 dogs. We had specifically told them bordatella shot ONLY! She charged us close to $500. I was livid. I did NOT leave a review at that time. We got a new puppy and my husband called and asked her to do the puppy check and she refused because she claimed I left a negative review and told people not to use her because she charged way too much which is true. I have never had a vet be so petty after someone was unhappy once. Well I didn't review before but I am now! She has no compassion, she is rough with the dogs and she charges 3 times what normal vets charge. I understand she has to pay for gas but I'm 2021 gas was cheap. We won't call her again and I definitely would NOT recommend her to anyone! read more
