Diane took her time with me and went above and beyond the call of duty. She's caring, comprehensive, compassionate, friendly, direct. She knows her stuff and it's evident she takes pride in what she does as do the other staff members. The pricing is competitive; if not better than a lot of places. I had the chance to watch Diane and the rest of the staff work with other pets and their owners so the service I received is consistent. After "interviewing" several places this is who I ended up going with due to my work schedule, experience on the phone with them, location and cleanliness of facilities. Copper looked adorable and was relaxed going in and upbeat coming home so I know he had a good experience. Definitely try them out!!! read more

Horrible, horrible experience! These people know NOTHING about grooming. Totally scalped my standard poodle. I ended up bathing him and cleaning his ears which were disgusting . He was cut so short I had to cover him with a blanket as he was shaking. Please, please do not take your pet here. I have never ever experienced anything like this. read more

We've had our two shih-tzus groomed here twice and have been very pleased both times. This groomer takes great care to make sure your pets are groomed the way you want. I was recommended to take my dogs to this salon and was VERY displeased. I don't know what happened the 3 1/2 hrs my dogs were there but when I picked them up they flinched when I tried to touch them, they wouldn't leave their crates, and they wouldn't even accept the treats I was trying to give them. This wasn't the first grooming experience for one of my dogs, so I was shocked by how he was acting. After reading up some reviews (which I should have done before taking my babies here) I read that some dogs were returned with cuts on them. So, I inspected both of them and found a cut on the end of one of their ears and it was pretty obvious seeing as it was still bleeding. I'm sure the groomer noticed when this happened because he had to of winced. I was not informed of this injury upon picking him up. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. I don't pay money for some one to hurt my dog, even if he was acting crazy, a professional groomer knows how to handle a puppy. read more

These people are awesome! I had taken my 16 year old Corgi to a place in Foley, and the groomer was only able to trim the nails on two of his paws. My dog was growling and biting at her. I'm not sure what happened there. On the way home I called Paws in the Sand, and explained what happened and asked if they were willing to try to trim the other two nails. They said, Bring him on!" They were able to trim his nails WITH NO PROBLEM AT ALL. Not a whimper, not a growl, not a nip. No problems! I think my dog could tell they loved him. Taking him back Friday for grooming as I could tell Corky felt safe there. read more

Great experience here. We're evacuees from Hurricane Michael and our pups desperately needed baths. One pup is extremely shy and nervous but Diane was able to gain her trust and bathe her, all while squeezing us in at the last minute. I found the owner to have an attitude each time I talked to her. They did a good job on my dogs grooming but I had to leave him there for 6 1/2 hours. I had him there at 8:30 and didn't receive the call to pick him up until 3:00. I was not happy about him having to spend that much time in a cage and I told her so. I will not return there next year when we stay in Orange Beach. read more

Diane, Manager is the best in caring for our Shih Tzu as she gets a long cut and no one in the area knows how to really groom her as most people cut them short. I would recommend them to anyone that wants a groomer that cares for the pet as it were their own. read more

Started bringing my baby there back in October 2011 and at first it was good. The place was newly opened and didn't have many clients. We went there every month until March 2012. In February, they clipped my pups ear and I let it slide thinking the clippers got caught on flap of skin. March they cut a one inch gash in the middle of her stomach and never told me about it. I discovered it on her after we got home but they were already closed for the day. How could they not tell me how badly and deeply they cut my baby and not take her to a vet or get in contact with me. They just sent her home like nothing happened. Fortunately, she has recovered. They were willing to refund her grooming. After speaking with the manager, she assured me that she would be the only one cutting her from now on. So giving them the benefit of the doubt, I brought my baby back there in April. She came home with another cut on her belly in a different location. Maybe my baby is traumatized by the grooming there but I cannot in good faith continue to let them cut on her when she keeps coming home injured. read more

They are new and very clean. They were able to fit my dog in the same day, very reasonably priced and seemed very affectionate to my dog. My dog seemed to like being there with the grooming girls.
