I booked two 30-minute drop-in visits for total of $60 per day because house sitting wasn't available (which would be around $70 per night). Unfortunately, most visits seemed to last only about 10-15 minutes recorded by our door entry log. Pet sitters I've used from other companies have always stayed the full time, even if my shy cat, Kingsley, didn't come out right away, so they could slowly gain his trust and ensure he received his medication. This sitter seemed to be in a rush and didn't put in the same effort, which was disappointing given the importance of his care. I did let the sitter know that if it was impossible to dose him, it would be ok but I thought eventually she would be able to coax him out to give it to him like my past sitters.

She also fed some stray cats that come here for breakfast every morning. What a relief to me, knowing I can be away with minimal stress to the felines! Much better than boarding them. I also watched her help a neighbor re-capture a joyfully obstreperous dog who had slipped it's leash. She was patient, persistent, strong, fast, and very savvy with the dog, and with the owner. I'm happy to have her available for my future travels, and to recommend her to anyone.

Sometimes I feel like other trainers have their one "right" way of training but Erin always has a whole bunch of different techniques and strategies she uses to train dogs. She worked with me until we found something that really worked well and felt comfortable for me and my dog. I always walk away from our training sessions feeling successful (something my dog picks up on and really responds well to) and totally capable of dealing with whatever challenge I bring to the lesson. Erin is particularly good with high-energy "working dogs" and really understand their needs. I have a 4 yr old high-energy lab-shepherd mix who loves to work and move - she and I both have never done well with lessons where we do a lot of sitting and listening to the trainer talk. Erin introduced me to Rally and it was the magic "missing piece" that made all the other impulse control, good social manners, and general discipline work fall into place. They also offer overnight boarding, which is a huge bonus since my new job requires travel. Wag Along has become Cooper's true home-away-from-home, and that's exactly what I wanted-- not some kennel tucked into a light-industrial office complex. Drop-off and pick-up are a snap, with a predictable routine that puts both of us at ease. But the best part? Mary Ellen is some kind of magical dog whisperer. Every time I pick Cooper up, the dogs in her care are all calm and content. Since starting at Wag Along, Cooper has begun wagging his tail in his sleep, something I'd never seen before. Wag Along, indeed! He's even learned to use a doggy door, which is no small feat for a dog who's reluctant to jump into new things. And Mary Ellen sends daily photos or videos, whether he's playing in the yard or lounging on the couch. Cooper has been at Wag Along for both daycare and boarding, and the experience has been wonderful. Mary Ellen is flexible, kind, professional, and obviously gifted with dogs. I had a delayed flight, and she threw a fit that I would be unable to pick up my dog in the afternoon, as originally planned, but instead that I would pick my dog up first thing in the morning. When I showed up in the morning, Mary Ellen was outside organizing her recycling and refused to make eye contact with me, or say hello. My dog, she was locked in a kennel outside the gate with all her stuff. Immediately I noticed my dog had some white sticky goo on her backside, and when I got home I immediately bathed her. When I texted Mary Ellen to ask what that was, she said it was sap. I'm not even sure if she has a tree in her backyard. I worried (and still do) that something terrible had happened to my dog. And then, she had the gall to text me back and say I owed her an extra $25!!! Exhausted and stressed, and having seen how unstable and temperamental she is, I paid her in order to not deal with her anymore. Please note - the prices on her website are not accurate. There's a handful of negative reviews on her Yelp and Google reviews. These reviews are consistent outlining her cruel behavior to pet owners entrusting their dogs in her care, and lack of patience and respect - this woman is not well. Please consider that only because the negative reviews are few, doesn't mean they're not true.

I knew Fifi was in good hands and would be safe during her time away from me. Fifi was returned to me with a solid, SOLID, set of skills.
