Not very many places will groom your cat for you but we have a stray and found this small business through Yelp! Not only is this women owned but also she took me same day, I called early in the morning and made the appointment. Dropped off my cat and picked him up a few hours later due to how busy she was and she explained only she could do cats. I have toddlers at home otherwise we wouldn't need to bathe him! I've been taking my small breed poodle-mix here for 9-10 years. The dog is very much a terror to groom, very difficult, aggressive, bites and was turned away from her the previous groomer. Paws has been nothing but kind, compassionate and patiant with her (and me) for almost a decade. I get really nervous that we will eventally get turned away here, but Paws has been great and always helpful with ideas on possible ways to calm her down and make the grooming experience more tolotable (for both of them!). They do a great job on the grooming as well. If you ever have a difficult animal tip the groomers really well. They deserve it and I dread the thought of finding another groomer. read more

Unfortunately because of this place my dog has been traumatized from grooming forever and I just didn't know better to realize the lady is being too rough on her and then she cut her a couple times under her arms and her nails were bleeding last time I picked her up I really don't recommend it read more

Took my dog here to get groomed for the first time. He obviously wasn't used to the grooming and didn't like it. I don't know if these workers can handles big, strong dogs. They said they could barely control my dog. My dog isn't the best behaved but they should be able to control all sizes of dogs. It cost $60 to get him bathed (with no haircut) which i thought was expensive. Probably won't be coming back here. read more

The lovely ladies here did such an amazing job on my old lady! They took their time but the outcome was amazing. My little fur ball looked like a puppy! The haircut was done correctly, considering she is a Pekingese, so it can be quite tricky. I had them give her a shave but they recommended just a trim for her face. They managed to clean her eyes as well, which is. It an easy task since she has big eyes and tear stain build-up. Picked my furbaby and she is so relaxed and happy not stressed at all. The ladies really cared about their clients. We will back every six weeks to maintain her cuddliness. I am ecstatic that I found a place that's passionate about what they do. And only at $45.00 and $30.00 after for maintenance. read more

I took my chihuahua and terrier to this groomer for approximately eight months. In the last three grooming, my chihuahua came home with her nails bleeding twice and yesterday my terrier was cut under her arm! There is ABSOLUTELY NO REAAON for this to happen. Never again! read more

I called to make an appointment for my cat and they turned me down immediately when they asked if she's calm and I said that she can be a bit skiddish near water. They said they ONLY take calm cats. First of all, they never mentioned this the first time I called to inquire information about their cat grooming services. Second of all, if you're going to run a business advertising that you do cat grooming, you have to know the nature of cats and that most domestic cats do not like being under water. When you advertise that you have cat grooming services, people expect that you know how to handle them, otherwise they wouldn't be willing to spend money for you to bathe their pets. If you don't want to accept appointments for cats because you're afraid of getting hurt, that's fine, but you should probably add a disclaimer of what you accept so that people don't waste their time when looking for groomers. read more

I have never seen my dog look so good after her grooming and cut with Rose at Paws. I was shocked when I picked her up. That woman is a miracle worker. My Eevie is a mixed breed dog with crazy hair that grows longer on some parts and not as much other places. I've had her occasionally groomed and cut at other places in the past. She always looked cut but not good. I am so impressed. I will be taking her regularly. My family can not stop telling Eevie how cute she is now. read more

M 11 year old bichon Cody, has been going here for 8 years now. The owner Debbie and her daughter do a great job. He doesn't always have the perfect Bichon cut, but they treat him well, and I know he is cared for when he is there. He has limited eye sight and they are very sensitive to his needs. He is also a handful and they are very accomodating to him. Their prices are consistent for the area, but less than Manhattan Beach. If he's just getting a shampoo and set it's around 30.00. If he gets FF and T ( Feet face and tail), it's a little more. The whole works is around 45 and then I usually tip. It's a small family business that has been around for years and I keep going back to for their consistent treatment of my dogchild. Cons are their hours are 8-2 but they often close earlier. You have to get your dog in early. There is also a beatiful sweet cat that lives there. She is seriously the most loving cat I have every seen. Yay for Paws! read more

Not sure why this place doesn't have many reviews, because they've always got plenty of pets around. We always see the proprietor Bill (I think?). He's great with our beagle and genuinely seems to love and know a lot about cats and dogs. Our dog doesn't need hair trims or anything crazy so they're often able to fit him in if we call early in the day, but I would still recommend making reservations. Leave a message if you call after hours, since the hours are pretty short, as the other reviewer mentioned. Our dog always comes home smelling way cleaner and fresher than he does when I bathe him.... I don't know how they do it! read more

I have an apricot standard poodle and a small poodle mix. The groomers do a fantastic job on both of them. Having a standard poodle, you always seem to end up with a "Diva" groomer. Not so here. Great attitudes and they really care about your dogs. read more

BEWARE!!!! 1. They treated my dogs without checking for their vaccinations records. This means other dogs are also accepted helping spread possible disease from one to the other. 2. Took almost a day to get them back, they only went for a bath and brush. they accepted them immediately then kept them caged for hours before they got their turn. 3. Dogs came back with micro wounds on their backs. They had been brushed so hard that they bled. 4. I went back and spoke to the Aisan lady who probably owns the place said they must have been moving a lot when I brushed them. WOW!!!! what an explanation to hurt my babies. I can go on and on on this one. 5. I recall when I went back to pick up my dog, a white little poodle kind of a dog was thrown around on the table during a hair cut. I guess he also had the courage to move when it hurts. WILL Never go back there ever again. Advice , if u have to go there - be there till the very end otherwise who knows what will happen in your absence or take your webcam so that you can keep an eye just like mothers do these days with baby sitters. We have a puggle - since we don't have to get his hair cut, we usually give him a bath/cut his nails/express his anal glands (yeah it's disgusting I know, but his are active and it doesn't make sense to pay $30 every 2-3 weeks to get them done by someone else...or does it?) and do everything ourselves. He was due for some TLC and I was feeling lazy - it's probably over a 2 hour debacle at our house to get his hair brushed/de-shed/nails clipped/filed won/anal glands emptied/bathed/dried and no one has fun - so I brought him here based on a friend's suggestion. It was a Saturday, they seemed pretty busy but squeezed me/my Buddy in and he was done, smelling clean and looking good and ready for pick up in less than 2 hours. Only thing I could critique is that his nails were clipped but not filed so they were still pretty sharp, but I don't think it's standard for grooming places to file down the nails. Also, our dog bites his nails and sharpens them (for fun as he is 100% indoor dog) and tortures us with them anyway so I guess my issue with them is kind of irrelevant. I've taken him to a few other places in the area, and this one was by far the best in service and price, so definitely give them a try! read more

I have been coming to this grooming salon for a couple year now to groom my precious pets. I was hesitant when the old owner sold the business and was already looking for a new place to take my dogs. I decided to give the new owner Rose a chance, since this is a perfect location and makes it easy to drop off and pick up.
