I am a new puppy owner and I was desperate to find a walker last minute because after trying out…read more"who walks my dog" two times, I decided the walker from "who walks my dog" was not for us. The owner of that company and the walker had two different approaches to handling my puppy, I agreed with the owner but not the walker. I found Snagglefoot via yelp, though they don't have many reviews, but as a big yelper, I HIGHLY recommend Melanie and Arnt. They meet u before starting and I got to see how they handled my puppy. They really care, have good code of conduct and they are not out to make a fast buck. Their price is also much more reasonable than the other dog walkers out there. I am grateful I found them!!!

I've been using Melanie for my pup for about a month now. And to say she is AMAZING doesn't even…read morecome close to summing up how perfect of a person she is and HOW AMAZING she is at her job! At our meet and greet (with her and her husband) I knew right away they were the PERFECT fit for my dog. My pup instantly loved both of them and in return they loved him back. Every visit she sends me multiple pictures and lets me know how good (or bad..haha) my pup has been! It's so reassuring and puts me at ease to know he's in such wonderful hands while mama is at work! Melanie I cannot thank you enough for taking care of my baby, you truly are THE BEST! I am not one to write reviews, however she deserves 5+ STARS!! Again-nothing but wonderful and positive things to say about Melanie! I plan to use her for as long as I stay in Mount P! I've also recommended her to SEVERAL of my coworkers who are tempted to break things off with their current dog walkers and hire her!

Amazing experience for our last minute need for boarding our baby girl. I had two phone calls with…read moreAbby, the manager, and felt so uneasy bringing our girl. Abby was short and came off as rude, buuuuttt at the location she and all the staff were so kind. Perhaps they just get busy on the phone. Glad I didn't choose our other option. The outside of the building leaves a lot to be desired but yes, you are in the right place! Highly recommend. When we need boarding in Charleston we'll come back here

I had a reservation for my 1-year-old dog to stay at Charleston Dog House, booked since October 2…read more It was her first time at any boarding facility, and I made this clear when booking. I also called multiple times to discuss payments and inform them of her anxiety. My veterinarian confirmed she is not an aggressive dog but can be protective in my presence. To also mention- my veterinarian (knowing how my dog is) actually recommended that I take my dog to Charleston Dog House, so I truly thought my dog would be in great hands with her anxious tendencies. When we arrived, the atmosphere was chaotic, with loud and unsettling animal noises. To my shock, I observed a staff member screaming at the dogs. My dog, understandably anxious, began barking and hiding behind me. A staff member attempted to reach for her despite her clear discomfort. My dog barked but did not lunge--an interaction I witnessed directly. The staff's response was unprofessional, with one member yelling and another observing her as though she were a major issue. After completing the paperwork, I was told rudely that they would call me in 5-10 minutes to decide if my dog could stay, depending on her behavior. This possibility had never been mentioned before, which was especially concerning as I was about to leave for a trip to Florida. Feeling uneasy, I returned to my car, where I began to cry--both because of how scared my dog was and how cold and unhelpful the staff had been. Just two minutes later, a staff member knocked on my car window to demand I retrieve my dog because she wouldn't move from the lobby. They gave her no time to adjust and didn't even offer to let me walk her back to help ease the transition. I explained to the staff that this situation was incredibly stressful and inconvenient, as I was set to leave for Florida within the hour. I shared that our vet has handled my dog without me present and described her as calm once I'm out of sight. None of this seemed to matter. What upset me further was when my father called to inquire about a solution. The staff falsely claimed my dog was jumping on and biting them--something they never mentioned to me at any point. This misrepresentation of events and lack of transparency were unacceptable. Fortunately, I was able to find another facility in Walt Disney World that, within five minutes, made me feel far more at ease than Charleston Dog House ever did. The difference in professionalism and compassion was night and day. Charleston Dog House turned my dog away after only two minutes, citing "separation anxiety" without attempting any accommodations. Their lack of patience, compassion, and professionalism caused undue stress for both me and my dog. I would not recommend this facility to anyone, especially those with anxious or first-time boarding dogs.
