I've taken my lil old, medium sized baby here to be groomed several times now since they've opened. They are very nice and welcoming. Every time I pick my dog up from here he looks like he is 5 years younger and so much happier. They charge by size of dog and hair length, it is reasonable. He does get the minor red after-burn on his belly, but every single groomer he has been to, he is returned that way, it is just what happens, especially I know he is larger and becomes less corporative if he doesn't get to lay down while you work on him. Any redness is gone by the next day and he is not irritated by it. I will be grooming my baby here every time! They do grooming, baths, teeth cleaning, nail filing, dog sitting & playtime, as well as kennel. Their prices for their kennel are cheaper then the animal hospital next door, I found this out after I went on a long trip and ha taken him when I got back to get him groomed that they also did boarding. But it's okay, by dog is old and is in more need of a 911 lookout who knows his history. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with the grooming my dog received here. I brought in my pup who normally has a beautiful, fluffy tail and a balanced, well-shaped cut (see second photo), but he came back looking completely off. They shaved his tail down to nothing--why would anyone do that to a poodle mix unless specifically asked?! And the ears... I have no idea what they were thinking. They left them long, shaggy, and uneven, which completely throws off the shape of his face and makes him look ridiculous. It's like they stopped halfway through or followed no grooming standard at all. This was not what I asked for, and it's not even close to his usual style. I'm honestly so sad every time I look at him. Grooming is supposed to enhance your dog's cuteness, not make them look like a half-groomed experiment. I won't be returning. read more

I took my dog in for a grooming appointment but was refused service because one of his vaccinations had expired a couple of days before. They said it was State law that they couldn't take him and it's stated in their website. Ok then. We got our dogs vaccinations are updated made a new appointment. Showed up and they said they needed to collect a no show fee before they could perform any services. Ok how much. $35. I said we did show and they refused to take him. They again pointed to their website, which I checked today and did not see what they were referencing. So F you Pasish. read more

I created an account and sent my puppy's records via email. The following morning my pup was scheduled for daycare and when I arrive on time for drop off the person in the front desk informs me she can't accept my puppy for daycare as she can't read the records sent. I understand that but WHY didn't anyone contact me the day before or the same day as they open at 7AM and I was there at 8:30AM. Due to this issue my puppy didn't have a day of daycare and I was late for my morning appointment. While I was speaking to the person at the front desk I over heard an employee screaming and scolding the dog's in the background which is probably WHY they don't have live cameras like other daycares. Horrible Service and taking my puppy to another daycare where employees are NOT screaming at dog's. Go ahead owner respond and IDC.. I CDam a former employee of pawsh as if yesterda. Pawsh is dirty, poorly managed and unfair working conditions. If you love or care about your dog, do not bring them to any pawsh location. They leave their daycare dogs in the room all day only going outside once or twice a day which causes dogs to use the bathroom all over the place and it only gets cleane when it's convenient for them to do so. Boarding dogs are only let outside 1-2 a day and left in their kennels again with little to no bathroom breaks. The employees that work the front desk are over worked and rarely have someone to cover their shift. This is the WORST pet day care I have ever used. My dog came home smelling of dog urine because they had kenneled him in a FILTHY kennel because he "barked at the other dogs". No one called to tell us or anything. The employees are rude and I truly believe that my dog was in DANGEROUS hands when he was there. Recommend Pawsh on Space Center wholeheartedly! My timid, sensitive German Shepherd Duchess has been to many different boarding places and returns, skinny, ill and stinky. Usually she requires vet care because she was so miserable that she refused to eat and needs IVs. I worried that I could not travel any longer and hated checking in and hearing that she was ill. I found Pawsh and now my dog returns, happy, healthy and clean! I usually have my adult daughter take care of her for our annual trip, but Duchess is happier at Pawsh than her own house when we are gone! Can't say enough good things- they get her out to play, get her meds to her on time and ALWAYS follow all my directions. Then she gets a bath and returns to me HAPPY! It's a miracle! read more

If there was a negative star rating that is what they would get. Since moving to the area several months ago I began taking my dog to Pawsh. Every time I have taken him for grooming they have different groomers and different staff. So each time, you have to go over how you want the grooming to be and each time my dog has gotten a different hair cut which was worse than the last. Today was the last straw. When I dropped him off I was not informed that once again it was a different groomer than 4 weeks ago. Had I been told it was a different groomer, I would have requested to meet him/her and go over the details of his haircut, but I was not given that option or information. I told the receptionist the detail and specifically requested not to cut or trim his tail. When I returned 3+ hrs later to pick him up, not only did he get the worst grooming ever, but they cut approximately 4" off of his tail. I then spoke with the person who apparently was the groomer and manager of the place and she said "Oh! Sorry I didn't know and I only trimmed it and what could she do". She stated that she would be glad to give me a credit for my next grooming which I refused to take because I will never go back there again so what good was a credit. Not to mention the grooming at this place is approximately $70. I would expect for this price excellent, consistent and professional service. This is not what you get at "Pawsh Dog House." Its a joke, there is nothing Pawsh about it. I requested the owner's name and number and was given the same. I called Lauren to explain what had just happened and to discuss the constant turnover in employees and was advised that its hard to keep people and that she was sorry and would follow up with the location and get back with me. During this conversation, I also requested a refund for my services. After not receiving a follow up call from Lauren, I called back and this time spoke to a different manager who stated she would call Lauren and see what was going on. I received a call back where in they did not apologize for their lack of professionalism and stated that it was only his tail and that did not warrant a complete refund of the services I received. They could either mail me a check or give me a credit to bring him to their other location. By they way, I paid with a credit card. I am not sure why they couldn't credit my card. Either way I refused their offer. They can keep their money. While I know that his tail will eventually grow back and its not the end of the world. However, this company's ongoing issues and customer service techniques is unacceptable. If you want a good service and grooming go elsewhere. read more

Our dog is throwing up. How hard is it to take care of the dogs? We picked ours up after experiencing lousy customer service, and mistakes on their part which made us late for our flight. They are rude! We returned home after a 2 day trip and one of our two dogs is vomiting something red. Since we had to supply our own food, we're left wondering what they fed our dogs. I will no longer be using this facility. I am very disappointed with the professionalism showed by the staff here. The first time I left my 100lb puppy to spend the day in Daycare I come on my lunch break to check and see how he was doing to find the doors locked, no one to be found, and the dogs running lose unsupervised. I was very upset because it states on their website that the dogs would be kenneled during the lunch hour. I know everyone has to eat but to leave a dozen large dogs unattended is a disaster waiting to happen. I contacted the manager and she apologized saying she would make sure it wouldn't happen again. So the next day I dropped him off again and popped in during my lunch hour to see if it would happen again and it didn't. They were nice but seemed to be expecting me this time. So I put it in the past and brought him back again. The next morning I get there when they open and no one was there. I waited a little while and the lady showed up (and was rude when I dropped off and picked up) causing me to cut it close on being late to work. But again, hey I get it life happens and sometimes you run late. I let that go. This morning I take him to the day care, again I'm there when they open so I can get to work on time myself. I pull in and no one is there yet again. This time I waited 20 minutes and still no one showed up. I was late to work because someone couldn't do their job and show up. This morning was the final straw. $200 worth of business a month was lost due three of the four times bringing my dog there something went wrong. read more

When we adopted our dog, she had severe separation anxiety, so I took her to Pawsh in Clear Lake for doggy day care while we worked through it. I've been so happy with them and SHE has been so happy, that I never changed the routine and she's been going every week day for nearly 7 years now. She has a weekly bath and is groomed there every month and I board her there for short and long trips. I love the staff that works there - they are always friendly and kind, and treat my dog as though she is their own. I never worry about her when she's there and know she is happy and well cared for. read more

Small facility. Rude employees. "Walking" Area is a small patch of grass about 2.5'x8' that was not properly cleaned (lots of poop for such a small area). Big dogs in the back at "daycare" were not under supervision and we're all standing around in a room filled with lots of kennels that left them about 15 sq. ft. of room to "play" in(none of the dogs were playing). Pit bulls were roped off directly beside the big dog day care which also took space away from their play area.. Watched one of the male employees act really kindly towards a customer dropping off her dog for daycare then plop the dog into the small fenced in area full of about 15-20 small dogs standing around..If you want to leave your dog here or do leave your dog here, you may want to ask to see the entire facility..not just the front..Stick around, it didn't take long to witness this all. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would. I dropped my dog off there last weekend. On a Saturday. Said that I would be picking my dog up on Sunday. Was not able to return to back to Houston on Sunday. They called me and I said that I would be picking her up on a Monday instead. Before I dropped her off I asked the lady behind the register that no one besides me could pick her up from there. Well what do you know. Someone else picked up MY dog. Without even a call asking for permission. NOT EVEN a call to inform me that SOMEONE ELSE OTHER THAN ME PICKED UP MY DOG. How unprofessional they are. I have filled out two surveys from there website stating what happened. Says that the surveys are directly emailed to the general manager of the store. And if you want to be called back by phone, you should leave your number. Which I did both times. This survey was filled out Tuesday. And again on Wednesday since I had not received a call back from them. I am not expecting a call back either. Just goes to show how unprofessional this place is. And the lack of disrespect that they have for anyone. I won't be coming here any longer. And I'll be directing my business and most of all my dogs security to a better place. My grand dog went for grooming. Labrador requiring minimum work. Thought a bath, glands cleaned, nails trimmed would be easy. Was so disappointed to see finished dog looking uncombed. The floor was open to about ten dogs on sofa and floor. There was poop and pee on the floor in many places which finished dogs could walk through. Disgusting and unsanitary. I started taking my dogs to Pawsh in League City about six years ago and they actually did a very good job up until Lauren the owner expanded her business to other locations. All things went downhill. The last time I took my maltipoo there the manager of this location was very unprofessional in appearance and attitude. This was a couple of years ago and I never went back. Every time I would drop my dog off for grooming, they neglected to do something whether it was the foot pads, the eyes or adding bows to her hair. Very disappointing and there was never an apology from Lauren either while she was still grooming at this location. :( read more

This review pertains to the Clear Lake Pawsh Shop. I have taken my dog "Shadow" here for quite a while. Strange, but I see the same groomers every time I go. They know my name and my dogs name. We are always treated as a welcomed visitor, not just a customer. I have never been disappointed with any of the many grooms that my dog has received. I have absolutely no complaints regarding the service and care of my dog. He is always willing to go into the shop and is a happy camper when I pick him up. We took our Schnauzer to be groomed, and long story short, they got him mixed up with another dog and did not know which dog was mine. they called saying he was ready, and it was not only the wrong dog, but the wrong dog got my dogs cut. I find this unprofessional. If I or someone else had taken the wrong dog, and they freaked out and ran and got lost, then what! My concern was met with giggles and lame excuses. When I called and asked for the owner to express my concern, the manager refused to let me talk to her and im sure never gave her my number to call since the mix up was prob her fault since she was in such a rush when I dropped him off. My husband and I just recently moved to this area of Texas earlier this year. Our daughter brought my shepherd down for me in July. Since we now stay in apartments we knew my dog needed a place to play & socialize. After an extensive research, we decided on Pawsh. The hours and location are very convenient for my school schedule. My dog loves it there. She has even changed her feeding schedule herself because she likes it there so much. I used to feed her in the mornings, but as soon as I wake up she goes & lays by the front door until it's time to leave and now won't eat her food until after we get home in the evenings. She gets more excited the closer we get to the Pineloch location & also likes to try to climb out of the car before I can unhook her doggy seatbelt. Everyone there loves her & always gives her compliments. I have also recommended them to friends. Like I previously said I love the location & hours, but I also love the fact that they are cageless. All of the other doggy daycares I researched kept the dogs in cages most of the day& also didn't let them interact with each other. The other places idea of interaction was to let the dogs run in yards with fences between them. I don't consider that true social interaction. I read the other posts before writing this one & I'm sorry they had bad experiences. Pawsh has obviously changed since then. They still have the same people working there that were there when my dog began attending. I am very pleased with the service and will continue to tell others about them. read more

We have taken our little Schnauzer to be groomed 3 times now. The first groom was great, the second not and the third was a disaster! When I walked in the MGR receptionist was on the phone, she tried to rush me thru and said "same cut?" I said no. She huffed and slammed down the phone, I almost walked out, and should had. After explaining the cut, and supplying a photo of the cut I wanted with detail's I got a call an hour after, saying my dog was ready. Well, it was not my dog, but a bigger dog with white on his chest. They did look similar but def. not my dog. When I came in a girl hemhawed around about my dog. Saying well, uhhh, well, at this point I did not know if he was hurt, or what. I told her just say it what is wrong. She laughed and explained there were 2 dogs who looked the same and was that dog mine. After looking I said no he is not! My dog had not been groomed yet, and worse, the other dog had the french Schnauzer cut I wanted. Wondering how they told the other owner about that. Not to mention, if a friend or if I had not payed attention, I would had left with someone elses dog or visa versa. Im wondering at this point why these dogs are not tagged with a cage card or collar for ID. After going back again and getting my dog and seeing them shaving down the other dog thinking its my dog, I was like whoa! I did not say shave him all over! But it was the other unfortunate dog. I can see where they looked alike, but nothing like that should ever happen much less the joking manor of the employees. "woopsy" no, unprofessional. I called after I got over freaking out, and asked to talk to the owner. The "Mgr" knew why I was calling and tried to deflect me call saying all complaints go thru her. I wanted to talk to the owner, and I was told 4 times the compalins go theu the mgr. At this point I assumed the owner would not be told of the call even though I insisted to talk to the owner. I have worked for vets with grooming offered and know the ins and outs and i can say, these people dont care and are indifferent and basically drawing a check with as little effort as possible. Not surprisingly, I never heard from the owner, and will not go back to this salon. Very immature staff and obviously indifferent owner. read more

Our dog boarded with Pawsh on Space Center for the first time. I was a little frustrated going into the boarding appointment. When I called to make the reservation, I was instructed to scan and send my dog's vaccination records along with a copy of the signature page for the boarding contract prior to the drop-off date (great! love taking care of things early). When I emailed the required documents I requested confirmation that everything was in order. After no return email confirmation for several days I called the day before the drop-off to confirm that all of the paperwork was in order. At first I was told they never received anything from me, then I was told they had the vaccination records but not the contract, after I stated that the contract and vaccination records were in one pdf document, I got a "oh, well then we have them too I guess". Second warning sign--drop off my dog. There is too much confusion on his food. I was told bring his food. So, since he would be staying for 2 nights I brought it pre-measured in two bags (I explained that he only gets fed 1/day at night). I wrongly thought bringing pre-measured baggies for each day would make this easy. Then the guy at the check-in frantically asked what they were supposed to feed him if I only brought 2 baggies of food--I explained AGAIN that he gets fed 1/day at night and since he was spending 2 nights only, he had plenty of food. Last straw--on the day of pick-up I arrived and the lobby reeked of urine, not very "Pawsh". AND when paying, I was asked to leave a tip, which I declined. I feel it was extremely unprofessional to ask for a tip, and further, I'm not sure that boarding services are a type of service that many people tip for? It's not something I've ever come across with other boarding facilities. If he had been groomed (and groomed well) then yes, tip, but I'm not tipping for dog to spend 2 nights in a kennel with 2 walks a day. We won't be back. read more
