My cat Ziggy is a fan of Feline Medical! They always take amazing care of him! We came in back in September for a weird growth near his tail. It was diagnosed as a fatty tumor (I can't remember the exact name) that is rarely serious. It was drained and we went home with meds. About a month later it was back. Over the next few weeks we exhausted all options thinking it would go away on its own finally having to remove it with surgery being the last resort. The surgery was done one morning and Ziggy was home that evening. Dr. Sims described the surgery and assured me that she was able to remove all of the tumor and would send it off to the lab to be analyzed. Ziggy went home with pain meds, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory meds. They made sure he'd be comfortable while he wore his "cone of shame" in order to not mess with the operation site. She called me the next day to tell me the results showed cancer. I was obviously freaked out! She reassured me that she wasn't worried about it reappearing. She said we'd keep an eye on it with more than regular checkups. I really feel like Ziggy received the best care possible! I feel like she took care of Ziggy as if he were her own cat! I love the fact that it's a cats only facility. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable with cat decor that looks inviting. The entire staff is friendly and professional but most of all not rigid as I've found the staff and vets alike to be at other clinics in the area. We've also never waited long to be seen or placed in an exam room. Highly recommend Feline Medical Center!!! I'll never bring my cats anywhere else!! read more

I can't say enough about the entire staff and the level of care here. They all go above and beyond and unlike some other places I spent thousands at, these vets don't give up and they don't give my cat unnecessary meds or tests to pad the bill but does nothing for the cat. I've brought in a few head scratchers for them and instead of telling me I need to "make that tough decision" they break down each issue, tackle it and find a plan forward. They are all extremely knowledgeable and their nurses are not just "vet techs" they are highly trained nurses. Some vets just don't see a lot of serious kitty issues so they can only treat the run of the mill issues, here they see it all and treat things you probably didn't even know existed. I had to take my Little Mila there and they got her right in. It was on a Thursday and I was afraid I would not be able to get her in. But I explained the problem and the saw her right away. I loves this place for her.. They are very caring and listen to my concerns about her. They explained everything to me about her tests results and what I could expect if she keep having her problem. Staff is always nice and helpful. It is just for cats so no dogs to scare her as she waiting for a room. We never have a long wait to see Veterinary. read more

UPDATE: After receiving my complaint, the Center called my husband and apologized. It seems that they have a pet hospital literally next door and that his call actually was transferred to the hospital, even though he hadn't dialed their direct number. They issued a partial credit on our bill. I appreciate that they took the time to address the issue. BTW, the hospital part, Bay Glen Animal Hospital, was fantastic ! Since they are owned by the same people, I have changed my rating to a 4 star. My husband called this morning as our 17 year old cat had been throwing up. He was told he would be worked in, that when he got to the parking lot, to call and let them know he was there. When he got there and called, he was told that there was no record of him calling, that there was only one lady working then and she didn't receive any calls. My call log clearly shows that he made the call this morning to their number. read more

I made an appointment the same day I could go in which was great! Very fast service! The vet knew what they were doing.

They have a late charge I wasn't happy about after driving 75 miles. I left 30 min early but Houston traffic... I was literally in front of the door in my vehicle. The receptionist called as I was getting out of my vehicle right in front of the front door. I could see the lady talking to me on the phone. Although there was no one in the waiting room and not one car in front of the business. In fact there were no cars in the entire parking lot so I know no one was there. I couldn't see anyone in the waiting room. She stated as she looked at me that a $25 late charge would be added to my bill. This seemed a quite stupid charge considering the circumstances. I wonder how this has worked for their business? I canceled my appointment, drove away, and found another vet. I was late, I admit but I was at their door 15 minutes after my appointment time. Their policy states that if you're 15 minutes late there will be a $25 fee. After such a long drive and fighting traffic, I was disappointed, they did this to me as a customer who has spent over a thousand dollars on my last visit. I wonder if it's worth it to be so shitty to your customers? I won't be going back. You've lost my business. Hitting your customers with late fees when no one was even in your business seemed selfish. Some people care more for money than caring for kitties. Instead of treating my kitties and making some revenue, they made no profit from me. I wonder if the $25 was worth it to lose a customer? Maybe so for them, all about the money, NOT our fur babies. read more

I took my 16 year old cat to FMC, and the doc quickly determined that Tiger had high blood pressure and a thyroid problem. Now she's on medication and doing well. I was very impressed with the entire FMC staff. They're attentive and communicate well. Later, I took Tiger in to have her teeth cleaned, and now she's ready for her close-up. read more

I took my elderly cat to get a checkup and get some mats cut off and our experience was so good. They were so gentle and loving with him and made him so comfortable. I was really worried because he is not a friendly cat, but they gave me some medicine to give him before his visit and he just mellowed out and everything was fine. The doctor that treated him was so knowledge and explained everything they were doing. They even let me go in the back and watch. I would definitely recommend this clinic if you are looking for a vet for your cat. Also, no dogs in the waiting room!! That was always very stressful for my cats at our other vet clinic. read more

The Feline Medical Center is outstanding in every way! Both of the vets seem to have answers to every question I have and are gentle and loving to my cat. The staff are great too. I am given as much time as I feel I need to understand instructions, suggestions, and "what ifs". The excellent website has articles that cover behavioral issues that the doctors have referred me to for additional information. When a dear cat with cancer had to be euthanized, I was allowed to be with the Doctor the whole time talking to my cat, stroking it and grieving. read more

I was so hopeful that this was the place I could bring my kitty for all of his care but I was sadly disappointed. The vets there are amazing and give great care. No complaints there at all. My disappointment lies in the way the 'plan' was explained and interpreted to me. When I brought my kitty in for a badly needed dental, I was given a price without the plan and with the plan. The price without the plan was an enormous 1700.00+ dollars...........UNBELIEVABLE. Then I was provided the plan price for one year at approximately 55.00 or so a month which appeared to include the dental procedure. It also showed other perks, vaccines, wellness check, etc. So I signed up for the plan for the little guy. When I checked out after his dental, I was told I owed 900.00+ dollars. I was shocked. The receptionist said that that the 900.00 was the price with the plan I purchased. I said that I thought the dental was included in the price of the plan. She said it was but I also received additional services. I was totally confused. So I said if I add up the 900+dollars to pay and the 55 dollars for 12 months I'm back up to the 1700.00 with the plan. She said yes but you are getting additional services with the plan. She said I used most of the plans additional services, but I still get a wellness check...............Whoopie!!!! I was also not pleased when I found out that the vaccines were administered without my knowledge or consent. I also walked over to the other hospital they own across the parking lot called Bay Glen Animal Hospital and left a message with the office manager who never had the courtesy to call me back. So disappointed beyond words. Again the vets were great but the deception I felt about the plan and the office manager not even having the courtesy to call me back. read more

Recently brought in my cat for an annual check up. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. I believe her name was Crystal. Prices were very fair. Remember you get what you pay for and my cat is worth it. They were very patient and explained everything I needed to know. Also, the place was very clean and smelled nice. Brought a new orphan (13.5 yrs old Persian female, underweight, flea-ridden) for an initial checkup. Her name is Robbie and her previous vet faxed over her history. Like my other cat, Harry, Robbie was not afraid or resistant to the gentle caring provided by Dr. Sims and her assistant, Jessica. I keep coming back here because they have been consistently great with me and my cat. They always recognize me by name, as well as Harry. They genuinely seem to like Harry. I appreciate that they ONLY treat cats - so no barking or doggie smells. Their facility is very clean and sweet smelling. The vet and the staff take the time to answer any and all questions, and I have never gotten the impression that I ask either stupid or too many questions! Each question is taken seriously. They keep excellent notes. And they follow up the next day after EVERY visit to check how their patient is doing. I have just read two low score reviews of this veterinary center and cannot equate my frequent experiences over the past 18 months with their experiences. I wonder if it's the same practice! We just moved to this part of town last year and immediately needed to establish with a vet to treat our cat's allergies. When we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and friendliness; however, we were immediately turned off by the vet. He seemed nervous around our cat, which was odd given how calm she was, and he was much more forceful with her when collecting ear swabs than our previous vet has been. As a cat specialist, I was also surprised that he could not scruff or hold her without help. Even with the tech, they both struggled to keep her calm while drawing blood, which had never been an issue with her before. Later he began advising how we needed to change her food to start a food trial because he wasn't comfortable keeping her on the topical ointment she had been successfully using for almost a year. When we expressed concern with finances and the fact that it would disrupt our other cat's diet, he didn't seem to care and continued to push us to seek alternate tests and food trials that would cost $200-300 without guaranteeing that it would help. When I asked how we were supposed to keep her from scratching at her ears in the meantime, he didn't give a straight answer. We left with one dosage of her ointment (just enough for two weeks) and went back to our old vet on the other side of town. The drive across Houston was worth better care when this cat specialist with much higher prices wouldn't agree to treatment we knew worked, couldn't calmly swab my cat, and charged even higher prices for all of it. I never recommend this place for cat owners. read more

They run deceptive business practices.Never told what price we were paying for which service, offered services as if they were being given as "samples" and charged us for them later. They forgot to invoice an item at time of payment, called to say the forgot to charge for it and when i refused the service they still billed me for it later. AVOID this place. read more

Dr. Jong and her staff is very welcoming and empathetic. I have a special needs cat that comes to the office fairly regularly. Dr. Jong is extremely gentle with him and I have complete confidence in her staff handling him. I love this place. They are so professional and it is great to find a place that is concerned about the well being of my cat. Dr. Jong always take the time to explain everything and answer all of the questions I have and address any concerns as does the staff there. The staff members are great, they are always prepared and very friendly. I get follow-up calls when needed and notifications for pending appointments and future checkups. Absolutely amazing clinic. I was a veterinary technician for almost 4 years and I was VERY impressed with The Feline Medical Center. Our cat is 17 and has squamous cell carcinoma which is a very aggressive cancer. Dr. Jong and her staff presented us with all of our options and spent an HOUR AND A HALF with us! I've never had better service, even from the vets I've worked with before! I would recommend The Feline Medical Center to anyone looking for a caring staff, great/clean environment! If you love your feline friend, bring them here! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this facility. I have worked in veterinary clinics for years. I recently moved here, so I didn't have a veterinarian yet. My kiddo was lethargic and wasn't wanting to eat well. Obviously, I was concerned. From the beginning, the service was amazing. The receptionist was well spoken and friendly when I made the appointment, they worked me in quickly, and the wait time in the lobby was minimal. The technician, Angela, was very knowledgeable and handled my baby with great care. She clearly understood felines (quite a rare quality even in the veterinary field). I hope she techs every time I bring my babies! I have never seen my cat so calm in a veterinary clinic. The atmosphere was amazing. They clearly went to great lengths to make the environment as stress-free as possible (even hooking up Feliway diffusers in the rooms). Angela spent a great deal of time procuring a full history. At no time did things feel rushed. Dr. Molitor came in soon after Angela finished. She was very thorough with both her physical exam and her questioning. Punkin remained calm throughout the entire visit. Dr. Molitor clearly has a way with cats. No unnecessary diagnostics or medications were pushed. The price was very reasonable, especially for a specialty clinic. After following the treatment plan (diet change), my baby is feeling much better. I have multiple veterinarians in my immediate family (in other cities) so I am very picky and cautious when choosing a new vet. I could not have been happier. I am confident that my cat received the best care possible. I will return here again and again! read more
