I had to call them last minute because my friend's roof on her house flew off and she couldn't watch my cats. Joann and Steve came to the rescue and assured me that the cats would be fine. When I left the country for 2 weeks I boarded him at Wags n Wings after they were recommended to me by a friend. On the first day I got a call from Rya that Cloud was not acclimating to daycare. However she was able to coordinate with my vet to pick up medication to make Cloud's stay more comfortable. She even sent daily pictures and messages keep me updated on his status. After a few days went by Cloud had toned down on the crying and clawing at the walls and had even made some doggy friends. I went from constantly being worried to being able to enjoy my time abroad. This is important that she won't just accept every single dog but keeps the safety in mind for other people's dogs. What I saw was a perfect place for my 4 dogs to stay and have plenty of room to run around. They have cots outside that are covered for shade and they also have a room with more cots and couches if the dogs prefer indoors. They also have separate areas to separate dogs in case they don't get along. One of my dogs was having some issues while we were gone but it didn't phase her and you could tell that she has a lot of experience taking care of dogs. First, I think the price for cremation and for ashes returned is outrageous since my pet was already deceased at drop off. They quoted me at over $400 okay. My dog is 63 lbs and was already deceased. Second, you would think that for a pet hospital that is so bougie and charges that much for cremation that they would offer you at least a Death Certificate. But no. No death certificate will be offered if you opt to not have ashes returned. Just FYI- if you have a pet and want ashes returned after cremation, you'll need to save some dough.

Kehau came out to meet him before boarding him and seeing how she interacted with him right off the bat eased any apprehension I had about leaving him. She made him comfortable very quickly and listening to commands shortly after. A huge plus was that she both picked up from and dropped him off at home when we got back. That made our trip just so much easier. On top of that, he was listening to commands much more than when he left! Oh, and getting pics of him on our trip was the cherry on top. Kehau first met with us to get to know Luca and understand his personality and needs, which we really appreciated. She handled both pick up and drop off, which was especially helpful since we were going on vacation. Throughout the entire process, she communicated with us consistently and sent updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. Luca is basically a family member, so feeling comfortable and trusting the person caring for him meant everything to us. Luca has definitely shown improvement since the training and while we're still working on things at home, we can already see the difference. We looked into other trainers before deciding and I'm so glad we chose Kehau :) She came highly recommended by a close friend, and now I completely understand why. I would absolutely recommend her services to anyone considering board and train.

And it's really assuring know they separate the big dogs from the small ones. For $15 they do nail trimming and filing- such a low price to pay for how much stress they are taking off my plate! It was so fast and my dog was so happy after. He's never happy after I clip his nails myself. It's so much shorter and smoother than I was ever to do myself. She said that her mom opened up this business 20 years ago (sorry, I forgot to catch her name!) Next time we're also going to do a teeth brushing and maybe a paw shave too. They also do ear cleaning, anal gland expressing, sanitary trimming, and face trimming. I'm so glad to have a go-to spot to take this task off my list!
