One of the most important things to me was finding a program that could help me have a well-behaved, obedient dog while still allowing her to be my baby and beloved family pet. I found that many training facilities seemed to focus on a very strict, military-style or working-dog approach, which wasn't what I was looking for. The team at Paramount understood that both things can be true at the same time, you can have a dog that is well-trained, respectful, and reliable while still being a cherished companion. Their training methods, guidance, and support have made such a difference in our lives. Four years later, I still stop in for refresher classes and to visit the team and friends I've made along the way. The simple tips they taught me, combined with consistency at home, have continued to pay off year after year. I receive compliments almost daily on how well-behaved my dog is, and she even comes to work with me every day. I am incredibly grateful for everything Paramount has done for us. If you're considering dog training, don't think twice about choosing Paramount Dog Training. It was one of the best decisions I've made, and I know you'll be thankful you did too!

We waited until they were finished and I approached the trainer Mel who was conducting the training. I told him I was having a challenge teaching my Labrador to not pull on her leash. He looked at me and my dog and said "No wonder, its a hunting dog." I didn't let this bother me and got the information for training with his company. We met with Alec for our initial evaluation and were happy with him. He was personable and liked our dog. We liked him. Before committing to training sessions we attended two "pack walks". This is where owners and dogs meet at a park to perform training drills in a group. During these pack walks Alec was there but Mel was clearly in charge. As I walked towards the group with my pup she barked. This clearly annoyed Mel. Alec helped us by placing a prong collar and walking my dog as she calmed. I heard Mel say to Alec "Are we OK" Ignoring me completely. Alec said yes. Mel seemed to act like a drill sergeant. No personality or kindness to him. I got a Kind of a Steven Seagal vibe from him. While performing a sit stay where the owner walks away from their dog then calling them. My pup of less than a year old couldn't do it. When I walked away she followed. Mel took it upon himself to go to my dog and lift sharply on her leash which had a prong collar attached. as I walked a short distance. I turned and could see the confusion and hurt in my pups eyes. As Mel held her collar up. we completed the session paid our $65 for the hour and never returned. I now see why it was Alec we first met to represent the company.

I will always be grateful for them helping us find our new family friend! This shelter really does everything they can for all of their animals to keep them safe and healthy! They are incredibly hard working and committed to their animals in a loving and supportive way; whether it taking them to the vet at any time of the day or night to helping mother dogs birth their puppies, they are right there caring for them every step of the way! They go above and beyond to rescue animals and take in any stray/surrender they can! That's how they found Minnie. They do their best to find their animals homes that will take care of their needs as well as work with the new families in any needs they have. They really know each and every one of the animals they care for by their personality and interests. These staff members have a personal relationship with these animals instead of only knowing them by a number or "name". I honestly am very proud of all their hard work, their abilities to conquer through anything and admire their passionate hearts! 5 stars is not a high enough award that this rescue deserves as they clearly do 10 star and above work! I hope you consider checking them out for a new furry friend and see all of the care they receive here!

I appreciate all the love they show both my pups (one from their rescue, and our older dog from another rescue) when we drop them off. They know their personalities and how to handle each of them. We used to have a family friend watch the dogs at home when we were out of town, so I was a bit nervous the first time we left them, but the staff made sure to let me know we could contact them to check on the dogs any time... and now my dogs are exited to go back and play when we are out of town. Thank you for all your hard work ROAR staff!!!

"Tano" became extremely attached to me solely and was terrified of other human beings. At that point I knew this was the one to me my forever companion. Tano was 6 months old when we adopted him and despite all my efforts in trying to get him socialized with other humans (during a pandemic when humans were restricted from socializing to begin with) was going to be nearly impossible. I knew I needed to act quickly and needed to seek some assistance to achieve good results with my plan. My vet recommended "Fortunate Fido" and boy was I glad she did. Within about 4 months of private training with Ginger then Tara, our new 4 legged family member graduated with utmost honors! Their training assistance proved to be "epic" in Tano's behaviors. Everything they suggested we do worked well and now our little guy has overcome his fear of humans, in addition to learning new tricks and new good behaviors. We could not be more proud of him. We could not have done this without the help of the great trainers at Fortunate Fido and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of building a confidant dog/owner relationship.

My parents have been bringing their dogs to Little River for years and years and if it's good enough for my very picky mother and her very neurotic dogs, then it's good enough for me. Years ago, they had one incident where one of her dogs had to be rushed to the emergency vet, and they stayed with him well into the night and didn't charge her anything extra. Talk about amazing service. Even so, I wanted to check the place out for myself. When I called and spoke to Vinny, one of the managers, he put a lot of my concerns to rest and then scheduled me for a tour. They have plenty of fenced, outdoor play yards and heated/ air conditioned buildings and change bedding daily. You have the option to bring your own food, and you can also use the food they have there. Little River also offers more individualized options, like walks in the woods, one-on-one fetch, cuddle sessions, and more. Best of all, they offer a complimentary bath prior to picking them up. We are going out of town in April and can't take our furbaby with us, but I know that he will be in great hands at Little River. **Photos in this review were taken by the Little River staff **
