I highly recommend Pawsitively Perfect Grooming, at 7711 W. 151st St., Overland Park, KS 66223 913-345-8245 (In the Stanley Station) Apparently this company was owned by a different person, at a different location, and it had a few bad reviews. I want people to know that is a completely different owner and location, and they are excellent! I take my 2 Springers there, and they do an excellent job! I'm so glad I found them, because I will never take my dogs anywhere else! If you are looking for the perfect grooming place for you dogs, I highly recommend them! To add insult to injury, after being overcharged repeatedly, the veterinarian must have decided that she didn't like my girlfriend and I. it was obvious by the way she treated us. When more customers showed up, she 100% told us to get our dog out of the fucking way, that more important people had showed up. I'm paraphrasing of course. She was very rude and unwelcoming. I would NOT recommend taking even the least loved of pets to this establishment . If you do make the mistake, make sure you have the correct payment method ready and waiting because she is in no mood to wait around while you spend all day writing the check. read more

Do not recommend. I've taken my goldendoodle there twice. First of all, they require drop off at 8 am for your dog to be there for 7-8 hours. But they also demand you pick them up within an hour of telling you your dog is ready. My dog came back and drank two straight bowls of water, I don't think he had water the entire time he was there. In addition, it is a sub par trim and for the expensive price not nearly good enough. DO NOT recommend, so overpriced for the care and cut they get. I think it's ridiculous you don't get a set appointment time. read more

The good news is that our dog (a pug) came back to us safe and sound. The disappointment is that her kennel was chewed up by other dogs. They lost her toy given to her by her breeder and did not seem to care; It was apparently chewed up by other dogs in a free for all setting. When we went to pick her up, it was purely a financial transaction, with no verbal feedback on her stay. If you choose this location, be prepared for communal setting with little care for specific needs of your dog. read more

The grooming aside, why ask for the dog to be dropped off at 8 in the morning if the actual cut takes place at 4 pm? The same thing happened the second time, morning drop off and late afternoon pickup. I get it if there's a maybe 2 hour window but this is ridiculous. read more

My dog would like to Yelp about this place... He normally cries and puts on a a whole "Don't Leave Me Here" show, so I was expecting it. I took him back for his 2nd visit and he whined a bit when we got there, but as soon as he was behind the gate with the other dogs, he didn't even look back at me. He was too busy sniffing, licking, and having fun. I walked out of there and didn't hear a single peep. Wow. I guess his approval says a lot more than mine. read more

Took my very shy dog here yesterday for the first time. Went to new location on 151st behind QT. She was greeted kindly and taken care of quickly as well as got the best grooming she's ever had! She looks great! My teenage son says the dog usually looks "stupid" after she is groomed, but he commented that she "actually looks really good." read more

If I could give negative stars I would. We use to take our Maltese here when they were located at 119th and Quivera. We continue booking a only a few appointments after they over to their new location at 151st. After a few times they stop picking up our phone calls and when we would leave messages they would NEVER return them. Honestly I'm so thankful Pawz at Play didn't work out because now we take Bentley to Four Paws in Olathe and they do an excellent job and genuineness. I wouldn't recommend Pawz at to anyone. I took my dog to this groomer, as my other groomer closed. I trusted them to take care of my dog. He came home with a bloody eye. I called and spoke with the owner and she said He was difficult and they had to restrain him. Trust me, this is a Shih Tzu and he is the most docile loving dog out there. I will never take him back there. BEWARE of this groomer. read more

We love Pawsitively Perfect! When we arrive for doggy daycare (at least once or twice a week), my puppy practically leaps over the counter because she's so excited to see the other dogs. Not very impressed. Took both my dogs to get groomed today. Not open when I went to drop them off and the girl working couldn't get in. This alone didn't upset me but may reflect on how the business is being run. The girl up front asked how I wanted them groomed and I specifically told her that I didn't want them shaved all the way down. That is exactly what they did to both of them. They look awful. I could have done that myself. My cute puppy looks terrible. Also they both were covered in hair from other dogs that got all over my car and my clothes. My dogs don't shed. Will never go back. read more
