I went here to cash a 200$ check. It was a Sunday so nothing else was opened. I was asked for ID and I had it. I was asked if I cashed checks with them before and I have not. I handed my check and the ID over to her and I got denied for the check to be cashed. She told me it was too old. It's not too old, it's not void until 180 days. She also went on about how the check was 3rd party and a bunch of information that was false. She lied. I will be calling corporate tomorrow. I was treated as if I came into this check cashing place and I was the scum of the earth. She told me to go to a bank. Wow... what a concept... on the website it says you cash all checks my check was legally allowed to be cashed. read more

I walked by the other day and the thought of this place stressed me out. Underpaid and stressful. In response to one guy complaining about western union, yes, it is western union and employees have no control over the faulty Western Union system. To the young lady with the 2,500 check, yes, they are trained to interrogate you and it's not just you. To the man who came in at closing, once the closing procedures have begun, it would take about 20 minutes to reopen the facility because of what it all entails. Andrea the manager is very sweet and nice and her team is awesome I go buy my money orders for rent every month and they are always so helpful and friendly. My wife walked in on a Sunday planning to cash a payroll check. Teller required an office land line phone number because they needed to make sure the check was funded (it was their first time to consider a check from the company that she worked for). Granted--but did they really expect someone to pick up the office phone on a Sunday?? They also refused to call my wife's employer's cell phone. Not telling you how to run your business, but wouldn't a quick credit check on that company be a more efficient and fictionless approach? Terrible service. Walked I before close, OPEN sign was on and was told to leave. My two sons won't have food tonight. If I were you I'd use a friends bank or somewhere else. Mark is great, Edgar and the staff here are pretty on point as well. They have helped me significantly with being able to keep living sane. Some months are harder Than others, I must say, their customer service here is on point and are very friendly. I understand where people my think they are kind of rude, but honestly dealing with money and paying back, they are helping you as well as you helping them, so it is more than to be expected. HORRIBLE!!! Do not bother going there. I only went there because everywhere else was closed. This is my second time I tried to cash a check there and both times were unsuccessful. I went there Saturday with my paycheck which is a government issued check from the State of California Treasurer (I am a county paid IHSS caretaker) They told me that if I wanted to cash my check they would have to put a ten day hold on it to verify it was good which means that I would have to leave the check with them and in ten days I can come back in and pick up the cash. WHAT? How is that helpful at all from a place that claims to cash checks. I am certain that the State Treasurer is not giving out bad pay checks, and 10 days is a ridiculous amount of time to make a person wait for the cashed check funds. NEWSFLASH......IT IS A STATE ISSUED CHECK!!! It's not going to bounce. Useless check cashing business that can't cash checks without putting a ten day hold on it? What a joke.. I told them I was going to report them on Yelp and they laughed. Very unprofessional and incompetent. This was not the first time they failed to provide the services that they advertise. In a previous incident at the same Payday Money Center (at the corner of Rockfield and El Toro Rd) my employer had gone in and purchased five money orders in which he had paid them $2500.00 in cash for. I returned within 20 minutes (our office was less then a mile away) to cash my paycheck which was one of those money orders he had just purchased from them, Upon presenting it to be cashed I was told that they were unable to get through on the phone to the money order company to verify that the funds were good. I explained to them that they had just received the cash 15 minutes ago when they sold that money order to my boss (who they did business with almost daily) and asked them to contact my boss if there was a problem. They said that they remembered him being there shortly before my arrival and recalled him purchasing the money orders but still refused to cash my money order because they said they couldnt verify funds with the money order company. WHAT? They are the ones who sold my boss that same money order that I was trying to cash, just 20 minutes earlier AND he had paid in cash. THEY received the funds that they were saying they were unable to verify. They confirmed that he paid them cash, BUT STILL REFUSED TO CASH IT because the phone verification system was supposedly not working for them, they said the system must be down. I walked across the street and cashed it at Wells Fargo who had no trouble verifying the funds through the same phone verification system. (On a positive note, by using the bank, I avoided the astronomical check cashing fees) In conclusion, these experiences have convinced me that this company qualifies as the #1 MOST USELESS CHECK CASHING COMPANY,the biggest waste of time ever. I will NEVER go there again! ( This is my first time writing a review, I normally don't bother with things like that but I really felt the need to share my experiences since they were so bad) read more
