When you walk in the checkout area is to the left, not sure if they get robbed often or what but the whole checkout area is completely behind glass. There are coolers to the back and along the right side, and warm beer on shelves across from the coolers. The selection is decent with the usual national and regional brands, as well as some of the more local breweries represented. Not much in the way of service as the employees all stayed at the checkout counter and were not terribly sociable during checkout. Overall, the place is decent, but not as good as other stores in the area

After 5 minutes, I went up and asked them if someone was going to let me look, and the response was that they could let me "grab what I wanted" but that they didn't have time to let me look. Very disappointing experience. I had heard some really cool things about this place, and made the 1.5 hour drive from Louisville just to check it out. I'm in the spirits Industry and have been to hundreds of liquor stores, but this is the bottom of the line. My advice, go anywhere else but this place.

Before walking off with a bottle, the kind man behind the counter offered a little taste, because he had just opened a bottle. They will give you little sips of some of the things they have open, if you're curious about something new that you've never tried before. SoBro Spirits has got a lotta bourbon and whiskey, and in fact, I would say this is one of the better places to find bourbon in Indy. The wine section is fine but not the largest, although what they do have seems well curated and thoughtful. All around the store, you will see shopping baskets full of random bottles of discounted wine, beer and other alcohol. It was kind of fun to paw through the baskets and try to find a cheap treasure. Along with the Canadian whiskey, I walked away with a nice Rioja and a rose for a steep discount. This liquor store is located close to the Monon Trail, so it's easy to get to via bike or walking.

I got to the door before 1am which is the scheduled time to close and the doors were already locked with customers on the inside along with the employee with the employee that wears the bonnet to work and they are screaming, oh we closed and would NOT let me in. All the wine was discounted 20% so I ended up paying less than 90 bucks for 10 bottles of nice wine. The best part of my experience was when the cashier (who I assume was the owner) carried all my wine out to my car for me! He could tell it would be a lot for me o carry, so he picked up the case and walked out with me. All in all, great selection and even better customer service. I will be back!
