A lot of people told me to use caution when working with Agents/brokers, but I have to say this is definitely not the case. As other reviews have said, Ben is not out for the money. Ben, Tina and Shohreh are simply amazing. They helped us find a home when the market is at its toughest. Currently (summer 2015), the housing market is just insane and without a good agent, its impossible to close a deal. Ben talked us through finance, possible renovations and spent countless hours during the week and weekend showing us hundreds of houses. Since I never worked with a real estate agent before, I was skeptical about being pushed into an early decision or into a higher expense. That couldn't be further from the truth with Ben. He really gets to know you and would never let you make a mistake. Since he has background in general contracting, he can tell you in great detail how much renovations would be. Also, when my wife and I were at a low point after getting countless offers rejected, he was a good shoulder to cry on and showed much empathy for us. This review is long overdue, but it needs to be said!! The short story: Ben has set the bar so high, we can't ever see ourselves working with anyone else. The long story: My wife and I decided it was time to buy our first home. However, soon after we started looking, we realized that buying a home in this market and in the Bay Area can be very stressful and exhausting. The thought of having to deal with an agent was even more straining until we met with Ben and his team. My wife and I can be pretty picky so it took us months to finally find the right house and throughout the whole process, not even once did we feel pressured by Ben to make a decision. Not only is he knowledgable and well informed about the real estate market and processes, but also him and his team are extremely reliable when it comes to getting the best loans. Tina, Ben, and Victor were wonderful through every step of our home buying experience. We were not first time home buyers, but this was our first purchase in the northern CA market. We were also looking from out of state with very few days in NorCal to actually view homes. Tina stayed in close contact prior to our trip and actually previewed over a dozen homes for us. She very quickly got a sense of what we were looking for and saved us hours upon hours of time with her legwork. She is incredibly thorough and uncovered a detail about one property that actually (thankfully) kept us from bidding on it. We made a offer on a property on the first trip that we took and were able to win a bidding war. Tina coached us on how to write aggressively, but within reason for the property we wanted. She worked diligently with our mortgage office to close on time. She also arranged and was present for all inspections and even helped us with arranging termite tenting after we purchased the home, but were still out of state. We had in mind some significant kitchen and electrical renovations at the time of purchase. Ben and the Paymun construction team were able to complete these for us prior to us moving in and they were far more prompt and dedicated than any previous contractor we have worked with.
