During the wait time, I called a few times to check on the waitlist and once to report that the abcess was leaking a brown discharge. I also discussed pain management for the procedure since I had fear from previous dental situation in the past involving extreme pain that had not been managed well. Dr. Waltz and his rude staff seemed to think this qualified me as drug-seeking or an otherwise difficult patient and so abruptly cancelled my care without even guaranteeing 30 days of ongoing care as is required by patient abandoment laws. It entirely unreasonable to cut your hours so people have to take vacation time to get a cleaning. The receptionist was an immature person incapable of explanation as a reasonable adult. If you're going to reduce your hours, the very least you could do is plan ahead and honor the appointments you have and not inconvenience patients. It's clear this practice does not care for its patients. And a good family practice lost in Lancaster.

One month, two, three months go by and after multiple calls to check status with them where I was told to "just continue to wait", I called my insurance company. First of all, they had not submitted any of the paperwork accurately for this confirmation of financial payment they require prior to providing the service. Second of all, by this time they had dropped from my insurance network (receptionist wasn't aware, I had to inform her) so I was unable to even go to get my teeth cleaned, which is all I had wanted from the start. Nice people, but that's about it. With the number of dentists in this city/other options, I would not recommend at all.
