Had a good friend buy dinner for me and my wife due to me having surgery earlier in the week. We are grateful for him and his beautiful wife!! Wonderful friends!! He had called them set it all up for pizza to be here by 5 pm. He texted me I said no he called them and basically they lied to him,it ended up about 545 pm to get here. We tipped the driver not his fault at all!! He gotten us an all meat lager pizza it was delicious to a point. If you are going to put a teaspoon of sauce on there you might want to add a cup for dipping we ended up opening a jar of pizza sauce to eat it very disappointed! Friday night late dinner 4 delivery! My food came within 1 hour as stated. It was well worth the wait! Price was reasonable. Overall, a 5 Star experience.... !! Large Philly Steak & cheese sandwich w/banana peppers, mushrooms & onions.... Comes w/ fresh tomato & lettuce... def satisfied my palate. However, I preferred ranch dressing instead of mayo. Friday night and they were busy, which to me is a good sign! The staff is kind and the delivery driver engaged with conversation. The Italian sub is HUGE and received good reviews from both kiddos, it was enough for all four of us. Pepperoni and cheese pizza delicious and we will order again! Pizza was great! We moved from out of state and I was nervous to eat pizza from OH. My newneighbor said. i had to give Payne's a try and i was not disappointed! The crust was soft (foldable) but thin. The sauce was tasty and I even did some changes to my pizza to see if there were any errors and they NAILED IT! Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered at 6:45, told delivery at 7:45. Understandable for a Friday night. Called at 8:15, a woman answered "Marion" (poor customer service) and was told on its way. Called at 8:45 to question and a man advised it would be there any minute. Tried to explain that we were told this already and asked if it's been in a car for over an hour and was hung up on. I know they won't care about this review but it's the only voice available, a sad state of affairs. Called at 9pm and it was determined that they delivered to the wrong address and they took it!!!!! Very good pizza for a very good price.. I'm a big fan of the Big Daddy, they really pile on the toppings. Also, their subs are pretty good too but overall the entire restaurant is worth going to because of the variety of quality food they have for really good prices. Plus if you're on a lunch break from work or just on the go they are very, very fast here, like Wendy's type fast nearly... Highly recommend any and all of their soups as well...and the taco salad is huge. Their "half sub" special too is particularly a great value because it's about the size of a full sub you'd get at Subway. Food is usually great, occasionally you can tell it was rushed but no major complaints on the food. Timing on the other hand is a completely different story. Ever since they switched ownership, the pickup times have been way off, on every occasion since. They've had plenty of time to get things under control since ownership change, that's why I'm now posting this review. Most of the time when you show up to pick up your order now, you get the same "it's not quite don't yet, but shouldn't be to long" ...as they're printing the order ticket to just then start prepping and cooking. So be prepared to wait in a range of 20-45 minutes past your original pickup time, with many others also waiting throughout the restaurant. read more

I ordered for delivery on a Monday evening while there was a pretty good snow storm going on. I was told it could take up to an hour and a half for my delivery. But I was so pleasantly surprised when it only to about 45-50 min for my food to arrive! The pizza was amazing fresh toppings and very generous amount too. The chicken sub was delicious as well! This used to be our favorite pizza place for dine in and delivery but the service, delivery, and quality has gone down Hill quickly. The last 3 delivery orders were either wrong, missing something, cold, bread hard, etc. They give no time approximation for delivery and when they screw up they act like it's an inconvenience for them to correct it. Tonight , January 4, 2019 my order arrived with a lukewarm pizza, very hard sub bun and it was more bun than meat or toppings, wrong chips and missing drinks. When I called they told me it would be awhile for it to be remedied. First, the management may want to hire a business consultant to help them understand that if they delivered good and hot food and orders are sent out correctly they would get better reviews. Management obviously does not care . I do not recommend this place unless you are open for getting whatever they decide to send out and not necessarily what you order. read more

We ordered for delivery and again our order was delivered barely warm. I called to check on the order to make sure they had written it down correctly and they had. We ordered double pepperoni on our pizza and for the 3rd time we were charged for double pepperoni but barely got the any at all. Just got into town and decided to give this pizza place a shot. Outside didn't look very appealing, but looks can be deceiving. One large cheese pizza later, I was unpleasantly disappointed. The cheese tastes rubbery and stiff, and leaves a bad aftertaste- very cheap. The dough was undercooked, and what little sauce I could taste wasn't very flavorful. This is a classic home-town pizza shop. You order at the counter, grab a drink, have a seat and they run your food to you. We stopped for a pizza lunch and by the time we left, it was hopping. The service was good, and we ordered a large Payne's Supreme pizza - a cracker crust with plenty of toppings and the right amount of cheese. Not super-greasy, which kept the thin crust crispy. The large was the right size for two hungry people and came out quickly. Although I like my crust a bit thicker, Payne's is pretty good pizza. Without fail, every time I call to place an order, I am welcomed by a bored, apathetic employee with the warmth of the North Pole. But it doesn't end there. When arriving to pick up my meal, I am ignored for at least a minute or more while standing at the counter. Two or three employees are looking right at me but seem too relaxed to acknowledge me or even give me a courtesy "I'll be right with you." And this isn't a one time occurrence. It happens EVERY TIME! Try it yourself and see. I don't blame the employees either. They are bored teenagers working for minimum wage at a job they hate. I get that. We've all done it. I blame the management. If I could make changes, I'd say add a dollar to the price and get better meatballs, add more cheese, offer Parmesan at the table or as an addition from the kitchen, and offer a thinner pasta option. my son loves this place but on Saturday October 20th we was very upset with our service. we order the same thing all of the time. when we got our food it wasnt right. my sub was gross. I asked for extra mayo and extra cheese and I got neither. I was pretty disappointed in it. we wasnt told when it would be delivered. it was here in less than 30 minutes which is good if the food was hot. my son wouldnt eat his pasta because it was cold. highly disappointed in the service. read more
