Healthy food at a fast service restaurant in Marion! Can you believe it? The restaurant serves pasta bowl and salad bowls with fresh vegetables and homemade sauces added per your request. They have several different types of meat and vegan options for protein. I was very impressed. The service is fast. There is a small eat-in area inside the restaurant, which is better than eating in your car. A lot of people were stopping in and getting bowls to take to possibly work or home. If I lived in town I would get that for takeout very often. read more

My husband and I love this place. It has the best grab and go Italian food anywhere. They do have limited seating but it is somewhat cramped and busy. This is really set up to be a takeout restaurant. They do a fabulous business. If you ask, they will even do catering. We had to them cater my husband's birthday and it was more than enough foo for the party and the prices were better than anyplace we had checked. Not to mention, the owner is a great guy, who loves to chat with his patrons and serve the community. If you have not tried this hidden gem, you are definitely missing out. For years we would drive from Columbus to Sansotta's because it was that good! This early afternoon, however, was not so good. Spaghetti on top was pasty and clumped, spaghetti on bottom was fresher. I'm thinking they dumped new spaghetti on old in the serving pan and I got the dregs. But the rub was when I asked for a touch more spaghetti as she was serving and the server said that would be an additional seventy five cents! It's spaghetti folks, I'm paying over $33.00 for two meals and they want to up-charge me for a touch more spaghetti? Poor form, you guys are better than that. I'll give them one more chance, because of a mostly positive history, but today was kind of just meh! Their sausage and sautéed mushrooms are still amazing! read more

It's definitely best as a grab and go for us - although there's indoor and outdoor seating - but picking your pasta and then toppings down an assembly line-type joint: just so awesome for a family. Oh, my goodness. This may be my favorite place to eat in Marion. The lasagna is perfect, the noodles are amazing and taste homemade, there's a perfect amount of sauce and everything is just exactly what you want lasgna to taste like. I've also had their torpedos, Italian Wedding soup and grilled cheese. All of these have tasted fresh, and the portions have been perfect. OH! I've also had their Zoodles pasta twice. PERFECT. Delish! We stopped by Pesto for dinner takeout and had such a pleasant and refreshing ordering experience. Once the employee ( I wish I remembered her name!) knew it was my first time visiting Pesto she explained all about their menu options and combinations. I decided on the vegetarian pesto pasta bowl and it was so good! I was able to add all the veggies I wanted as well as yummy Parmesan. This will definitely be a new regular spot for me. Before we could even turn around, the individuals working (I'm sorry I didn't catch their names) were inviting us to stay, order and not fret over the time. Great concept. This place really had a mom and pop feel to it. I think for it being in Marion, Ohio, this place is great. I really liked how you could custom make your pasta to fit your taste buds. I had chosen a small (the have two sizes small and large) pasta bowl. Had it with angel hair pasta, chose the tomato for my sauce with a drizzle of basil pesto, and as for my choice of meat (the had vegetarian option as well) I chose grilled salmon. I also had them put freshly sautéed green peppers, onions, and mushrooms as my toppings also. Great variety. Would love to see a spicy tomato sauce instead of 3 different kinds of pesto. I went today for lunch and tried the two for $7.49 combo. I picked Italian wedding soup and a salami and cheese torpedo. First time trying both. I have had the pasta bowls before though. The soup was good but not great. The torpedo was tasty but very small. No bigger than a typical hamburger bun. I would order it again though because it was tasty. It looks like they downsized their bowls too. When they first opened the pasta bowls were quite a bit bigger then what I saw today. Overall a good dining experience. read more

We have not been there in a while, and we were hungry for Alfredo, but after getting it, we could not believe the Alfredo sauce was not good. It taste different, like thick cream/milk. Very disappointed this time. I'm not sure if they changed their recipe. Then we got two of the torpedo chicken and cheese sandwiches and usually they are crispy, hot, and delicious but the breading was soggy and chicken was cold. Not impressed! read more

The food is decent. It is a little pricey to me but it is a nice change of pace in Marion. The pasta is typically good and the sauce isn't amazing but it's not bad. The meatballs are extremely salty in my opinion. They're not afraid to pile on the toppings if you ask for more which is always nice. I would go here over the wharehouse any day.
