Upon taking it in, it was a routine check in/drop off procedure. They got back to me the same day, but here's where they won me over. My repair was fully covered under Jeep warranty, so taking it to the dealer would cost $0. Al, who advised me of my options said I could just go get it fixed free at the dealer (which he communicated to them before I went). The point is that these guys could have easily gone the "shady auto shop" route and charged me for something the warranty covered, but instead these guys were honest. Luckily for me, a friend had recommended a mechanic who specializes in Subarus. He had repaired my front wheel bearings about a year ago. He checked and indeed my wheel bearings were just fine. He didn't charge me a dime for his time! He also explained how the industry is fraught with putting the almighty dollar ahead of customers. I could have been out $700.
