Boy, was I glad I did. I grew up in NJ - diners are a religion. This, to me, was a nicer (yet still casual and welcoming) diner. There's no neon and stainless steel to let me think it was a diner - but it's the best of a family-style restaurant and the diner we all know and love. Service was simply fantastic. Friendly, prompt, fun/funny. Atmosphere comfortable and not pretentious. Food: I had a simple cheeseburger and rather than fries, took them up on their offer for a small bowl of soup. All - exactly what I had hoped. Cook on the medium rare burger was clinically perfect. Meat to bun ratio was spot on. Hot, juicy. Terrific. Giving four stars in its category today as I want to dive deeper into the menu. I want to try their coleslaw, and pickles, and a chicken strip, fries, onion rings/straws before I hold it truly against a classic diner. But let's put it this way - I can't wait. Ps. When a customer cannot eat a dish due to a quality problem, I would expect it to be corrected, not partially charged.
