Came solo looking for a place I could relax and have a beer with locals. Yea this was it! They had musician Steve McGrath playing he was amazing. I got their signature Winchester burger and it was perfect. Chilled here for a couple hours a couple beers and it just feels like home.

Cute place with nice outside patio. Inside is super cozy snd cute too. Food was good for a casual place like this. We had burgers and a pulled pork sandwich. Service was good and friendly.

A unique cafe-bar on the 66 CT. When it's real dark and cold, the lights of this cafe looks like big M sign. Food and drink are not far! One time we were driving from Massachusetts very late, couldn't find any place open, and we saw the lights! When we went in, it was so warm inside, music was live, people were standing all over in this tiny cafe! It was heaven for us. Last Saturday, I went there with my son. It was karaoke night. We had a few beer while we're waiting for karaoke to start. My son like the juke box behind our seats. He put few coins and others too. Around 8:30, someone started to sing. It was bad. almost everyone who sang were extremely bad. But it was fun to watch people singing without hesitations.

A great dive cafe that really brings that unique country side bar in the woods. Decent amount of beer on tap, and a nice local bar to support. It's a nice place for drinks, happy hour and food. Live band also makes it a plus.

Very rude bar tender. Flat soda and the prises are out of control. The beer is warm. At least the band kicked ass.

I've been here twice once at night on a cold Friday in the fall and then just a couple weeks ago during the day on Saturday. Both times were just busy enough to not be slow or slammed. Drink service was fast and the food paced perfectly. It's got a bit of a towny feel, we had a few stares coming in but nothing out of the norm. If you see bikers out front, they don't bite. Just go in! Bathrooms are tiny and a bit- divey. Just wash your hands and you'll be fine. My husband has celiacs and although he's a risky celiac, he has not had any issues after eating here.

She was very helpful with all my questions about the area. On top of the friendliness in this establishment, the food was amazing. Being someone who loves to cook it's nice to find a place where the food feels like homemade and made with love. I had a delicious French dip and my husband had a burger. Loved the homemade buffalo sauce that I asked for with my freshly made potato chips. She also can make a mean martini. So glad we live near Such a wonderful restaurant. Can't wait to be back to try more things. The chocolate cake dessert was also spectacular. I believe they get that from a local bakery.

They have pretzels with dips, gourmet stuffed pretzels, pretzel sandwiches, wings, tenders and fish and chips. The bar was decorated for Christmas and they were serving special holiday drinks in fun Christmas themed mugs. I had the Christmasaurus in a red ceramic dinosaur and my wife had a Butter Rum Mocktail in a winking Santa mug. My drink was tasty and the mugs were fun. We bought a couple of the fun mugs to go. A person who I believe was the owner and the chef, was wearing a Christmas sweater and obviously loves the Christmas theme. Our server who doubled as the bartender was a bit more stoic about the theme. LOL. The food was generally good. It seemed like the pretzels may have picked up another aroma from the kitchen while the pretzels were cooking, because they had a slight aftertaste. Manageable, but not ideal. The pretzels looked great and had good texture. The beer cheese dip and mustard dip were both good. My pretzel stuffed with Mac and Cheese and short rib was good. We also split some holiday snack mix and Carolina BBQ wings. They were probably my favorite part of the meal. 4 Stars. The Hop Knot is definitely a place to check out. I understand that there used to be one in Middletown, CT and one in New Hampshire, although I'm unclear on the relation to the present owners in Portland.
