Best Buy screwed up my laptop and for four months I have spend literally hours at Best Buy while they tried to "undo" or "fix" the problem they created. I have lost time and income because of the mess Best Buy created on my laptop. I was referred to PB Brokers by both Best Buy and several people. TRUST ME when I say, no other company will ever touch my computer when I need upgrades, repairs and advice. In less than an hour, Travis had all my Outlook problems resolved! Less than an hour! I called this place to ask some questions about what services they provide as i have a computer I've been trying to sell and I see on google they might buy computers. Here is my interaction. First I could barely hear the guy on the phone and I had to turn my volume up, and then I had to put it on speaker because I could still barely hear him. "Then I said hello can you hear me?" he mumbled something which I assume was the business name. i said "Hi I'm looking to sell my computer and i see you guys might buy computers?" he replied very fast and low "Our buyers in on monday." I said "Oh, okay sorry im not sure what you mean." He replied again "Our buyer is in on monday." I said ookkk I don't understand whats going on what does that mean? and there was nothing but silence. I waited and then after about 20 seconds he just hung up the phone. Talk about major Red Flag. My computer died today and I looked for a quick repair option. Found these guys, so glad I did. My drive was cooked and they recommended replacing with a SATA solid state drive. They were were able to clone my old drive so it was ready to go and few hours later with all data and programs intact. Very reasonable fee. Highly recommend ! I went to PC brokers with a Seagate external hard drive that would no longer power up. They informed me it would be $299 to take it apart and hook it up to a external box and see if they could retrieve the data. And if they could, another $39 for a box to put it in. I was shocked at what they quoted me, but I had a lot of pictures on this drive and some work related files that I really needed. I was ready to leave it with them and just pay the bill, but last minute decided to take it home and think about it. I started researching that same hard drive on the internet and found YouTube videos on how to take it apart. bought a $20 reader and cord online and now have access to all of my data. THIS PLACE ROCKS!!! This is a long overdue review for PC Brokers from me. I learned about 'bloat-ware' and 'limited up-grade-ability' when I bought my first computer (from a 'big box' store) back in 1997. Once I saw all the bloat-ware that was installed on it, and learned that it was very limited on what could be upgraded, I took it back after a couple days. One of my customers at the time learned I was looking for a desktop computer, and he worked at PC Brokers and said to come by. After seeing that they built solid, 'clean running' computers in-house, at different performance levels / price points (based on what a computer is needed for), and could further customize aspects of it for me, I purchased one for my main, business / website / email machine. That machine lasted 7-8 years. Then I upgraded to another of their desk-top computers for my main unit, and a slightly lesser one for my photo editor to use (still have one of those on our tech bench for downloading service manuals and schematics). That one also lasted 7-8 years, and now I'm probably on the 4th or 5th as a main desktop, and have purchased 2-3 others for other tasks here at the shop (a couple were used / trade-in's that they had checked out and some are now probably 12-15 years old and still performing well running OS's from Windows 98 to Windows 10). The parts they build with are 'name brand', well respected, quality parts. Anytime I've needed something looked at, or to have something upgraded (not often on either), they're professional, know what they're talking about. When I've thought I needed something, they have often, gave it an 'on the spot' analysis (often at no charge), advised me to just DIY on an installation to save $$ (which their machines generally allow) or demonstrated that I didn't need a part or upgrade at all and to save the money. I've had a few power supplies go out due to lightening strikes and they've always done their best to get me up and running ASAP. I just had them build a MONSTER desktop for video editing (think top end gaming PC) that is super quality, and 'a work of art' inside. AND it was less than and / or certainly no more $$$$ than 'big box' sellers, and most importantly, NO BLOAT-WARE (if you don't know what that is, look it up before you purchase any computer). In summary, they've built EVERY desktop computer I've owned (probably about 10 now) with quality parts and a price point that I think makes them as good a value as you're going to find. I'm probably shooting myself in the foot by writing this review, as they'll sell out more often and be busier, but the Hot-Rod they just built for me should get me out almost a decade. you know it is rare that a business on yelp gets solid 5 star reviews from the general public, but I am not surprised because for the past 8-9 years or so I've bought at least 7-8 computers for my business from these guys. I have to say they are very fair and quite knowledgeable especially Chris Jones. This guy is not only an avid Gamer but he seems to know exactly the latest info on anything high tech. it seems no matter the question, he's been there, seen that fixed it and he is also more than fair with pricing, and customer service. a lot of computer places get a bad rep but if you need some computer help no matter what it might be, you may want to give these guys a call! there aren't that many computer places in town and I tend to stick with what I know is a sure bet once I find it. read more

PC Brokers has helped me fix my computer twice now. Once I was just an idiot and had the input wrong on my monitor and once my cpu fan died and they helped me troubleshoot and replace it. They have everything you could want with a small PC store and the customer service was phenomenal. When troubleshooting my first problem, they took a look and helped me figure it out without charging me for their time. The second time he took the time to explain how it broke and how to fix it if I didn't want them to do it. Apparently they do custom PCs as well as repairing them so I am definitely looking at them to help me build my next computer. I have used this store twice now to load Windows 10 onto my laptop and they do a great job. Most recently, I installed a SSD drive into my laptop but couldn't get Windows 10 loaded back onto it. I had the new drive and needed to clone the old drive onto the new one. I dropped it off and they copied the old stuff to the new one and had it back to me within 2 days. I stopped in to leave my PC for a new power supply yesterday, and when they heard that it would disrupt my business to be without a computer for 4 days they offered to repair it on the spot. A few years ago I had them build me a computer (with parts I had selected) and the computer still runs perfectly to this day. Never had a problem with it, the cable management is gorgeous, and they built it fast for a pretty fair price. I have used them numerous times and have purchased one of their refurbished laptops and I have always been extremely satisfied with their skills and performance. They've been extremely helpful, professional understanding and kind when customers come in who understand very little about computers. Recently I brought in a computer that needed significant analysis. They put in a lot of bench time but discovered that the computer wasn't repairable. I left only to realize later that I hadn't paid them and when I returned the following day to pay them they said, "We only charge for successes. **HIGHLY OVERPRICED** I have been building computers for over 10 years and just recently moved to the area. Figured I would stop by and check the place out to see what their stock looks like incase I need something quick in the future. I was also going to buy a new GTX 1080 if they had it in stock. At first when I walked in the store it looked like it was full of old junk and not much of anything I would ever be interested in. Walked around the store and continued to see old junk. I asked if they had any GTX 1080s and was told no. Finally I found two HIGHLY OVERPRICED gaming rigs in the corner on display. One of the two actually had the exact video card I was looking for in it, a Gigabyte G1 GTX 1080, and the box for it was even sitting on top of the tower. I asked if they would sell me the card out of the computer and at first was told no, then the guy said yes and had to go look up the price. They wanted $999 for this Gigabyte G1 GTX 1080. This exact card is priced at $619 on newegg and various other online retailers. THAT IS A $380 MARKUP. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE?? I will never return to this place for anything and I hope everyone that reads this stays far from it. read more

I talked with a couple of places about servicing an Enterprise Drobo with a bad power supply. The first one I called let me know that they could not service it. When I called PC Brokers, they said to bring it in for an estimate. Once I drove 1/2 hour to deliver the device for an estimate, they let me know that they could not service it.
