The wife and I had purchased a "Litter Robot" a little more than a year ago, when it suddenly stopped working. When I called the company's tech support, I was told that the warranty only covered the box for a year, and that they no longer refurbished or repaired boxes past warranty. The company stated I'd have to purchase a new one, at considerable cost. I refused to spend that much cash again so soon after its purchase, so I started calling around to multiple tech repair companies. About half of the companies I called never bothered to call back, and the other half stated they only worked on phones. Finally I got a response from Ryan of ZCR Technical Solutions, who stated that while he had never worked on a Litter Robot before, he was willing to take a look at it. While he was a little out of our way (Indianapolis to Martinsville), he was willing to travel to any location with a mileage cost. The wife and I chose to pass on having him drive to us, and instead decided to drive to him. I'm more than pleased that we decided to make the drive, as Ryan fixed the issue in a timely manner, and at what I considered to be a VERY reasonable cost. He was friendly, communicative, and kept us up to date on the progress. Aside from Litter Robots, he also works on phones, tablets, laptops, computers, gaming consoles, and more importantly vintage repairs (as long as he can get access to the replacement parts). Money is tight these days, and with the recession, it's only going to get tighter. If you have something you want fixed at a good price, I can't suggest calling him enough. Most people had no clue and some suggested Best Buy and/or HHGregg. Ummmm...those places want you to BUY new electronics and would most likely give you an estimate too outrageous to even consider repairing. I was determined to find out if my TV could be fixed since it was less than 5 years old. I went onto Yelp with little success (sorry!) and then to Angie's List. THAT is how I found ITR. I spent some time talking to the owner on Saturday when I was dropping off my 37" Polaroid TV for repair. He has been at this location for over 30 years. BTW...if you are a member of Angie's List, there is a $10 coupon to use towards repairs. Unfortunately, we live in an era of everything being disposable. TV broken? Just throw it out and buy a new one. Yes, I admit, sometimes that is more cost effective, but look what that is doing to our environment! Landfills are full of non-biodegradable junk. Yes, there are electronic recyclers, but again, some people don't want to go to the trouble of finding them and just dump dump dump! It turns out that ITR Electronics has been seeing a great number of flat screen TVs lately for repair. They overheat and the power source burns out. That is what was wrong with my TV. It cost $189.95 (minus the $10 Angie's List coupon) to repair and now my TV is working like new. A similar TV would cost between $500-$1000 to replace...believe me, I looked. The owner suggested running a small oscillating fan behind the TV to keep it cool so I don't experience the same issues down the road. I will take his advice and hopefully the TV will be with me for years to come. I highly recommend this electronic repair shop in Indianapolis! It is located on the east side of downtown. Not the best area in town, so they close early (4:30 p.m. week nights; 9:00-2:00 on Saturdays).

I live in Anderson, about 25 miles from their shop and the TV was to heavy for me to take in so I set up an appointment for Tue. at 9:15 and Rick was here at 9:15. He was very professional and had my TV fixed in about 30 minutes. The price charged was reasonable and has a 90 day warranty. I would/will recommend ITR. Very prompt and fair priced.

Updated: My card was double charged for our repair (the cashier swiped the card said it didn't go…read morethrough, swiped again -- but both went through) and I've called multiple times to get this resolved. The first time I was promised a call within 2 weeks, so I waited patiently and now can't get anyone to answer the phone or return my messages. I doubt this is malicious by any means and they're trying to hustle me, but... this is a pretty costly mistake and I want my money back. Shouldn't be this difficult.

According to the SONY website it could be a possible failure of the LED backlights. I emailed American Consolidated Electronics to see if they agreed that was what they thought it might be. They emailed me back the next day, and confirmed that that was probably the problem and gave me an estimate of how much it would cost and since they don't make 3D TV's anymore, I thought $285 was reasonable to get it fixed. When I brought the TV in for repair, Mr. Mortazavi was very nice, and explained what he would do. When I got the TV back, the TV worked great again! Best Buy stores are well organized and their inventory covers just about everything involved with computers, phones, headphones, printers, gaming consoles and TVs. They also carry large household appliances in addition to DVDs and Gaming media. On this trip I was looking for a charging cable for a flip phone I bought at Walmart and according to their employee they no longer carry such an item. I knew Best Buy would have the item since it is a common type charging cable. One of their employees knew exactly where to find it and brought me directly to the correct cable. I think Best Buy's staff have become more knowledgable over the years. They also know their store's products better I have found. The store is always clean with unobstructed aisles. Staff will generally approach you and ask if you need assistance finding anything. Restrooms are available here. This plenty of free parking.

He wasn't using the new wires, vent pipe etc that we had to pay for. He told me the door wasn't going to close if he used the one we had to buy. After a lot of back and forth debating what i had to say he did in fact put it on. Guess what, the door closed just fine. He had water running all over the floor and kept walking in it with his filthy shoes and leaving black mess all over the floor. I told him I needed to clean this up before he brought in the washer. He tells me I have 2 minutes. I asked why was he letting water run all over the floor. He told me to fix that. He said he's not doing anything that i ask him to do. He said he listens to no one. I was shaking and home alone of course. I just finished Cancer Treatments before our move. I also have severe heart disease. ThIs was the last thing i needed or expected. We bought everything from a young cordial young man, Tenacious. But, he was on his way for vacation. It was very hard getting through to anyone while this was all going on We have another technician coming out on Saturday when my husband is here to finish the install and to see what he did or didn't do. We also had a TV that he was supposed to put in our bedroom. He told me he wasn't doing anything with it and I told him good because you need to leave my home and my property and never step foot on here again. So he and his helper, who did nothing but try to help, sat the TV in out back hallway. I had ahold of the door and said now you need to leave. I tried closing the door, he pushes it open and the door pushes me into the wall. I put my hand on his chest I thought he was coming at me to hurt me. He said I'm going to take a picture of this I should've had my gun and I should've called the police on him. Best Buy is doing nothing except trying to give us in store credit.
