I had a whole house power surge from in-climate rainy, windy conditions that knocked the electricity out of half of my house. I spoke on the phone with Ryan, who asked me to briefly to explain my electrical problem, of which I did. It was a Saturday, and our conversation happened at 3:20 p.m. He told me he was finishing working at another job, and would be over to access my situation in approximately two hours. I was impressed! I have someone in my home who needs refrigerated medications and I was very upset about not having a working refrigerator. I thought Ryan's phone response and assurance of him coming to my home to view my electrical problem, were indicative of his work ethic! How wrong I was! The let down came when he NEVER SHOWED! No phone call telling me he had become inundated in workload.....nothing! Next morning, I thought surely he would call and tell me about when he would be stopping by. Nothing again! No, I didn't call him again. I did send an email and never received a response from him. His no show was enough for me to understand the business practice of this company. Not sure why Ryan thought my job was unworthy of him taking a look, but it would have been courteous and professional on his part to have telephoned me, and at least told me the job was too much for him, or whatever his reasoning. Normally, I would not post something like this, but it appears that this is the new way of doing business. If he was aware of where my family member was employed, I'm sure he would have sped here. If you hire this company, I hope he finds your job worthy, or you too may be playing the waiting game like I did. Can't muster anymore than one star for this company for the brief contact I had with them. Hats off to the customers who were treated fairly by Ryan. You must have something that I lack......just don't know what it is because surely I was not worthy. read more

Twice now PDQ has fixed problems for us that other electricians couldn't, including others rated 5-stars on Yelp. We recently bought a house with some creative wiring. The sellers were late in making some promised repairs and sent a series of contractors. PDQ fixed a problem with the controls on our whirlpool tub, replaced two old halogen fixtures with LEDs, and repaired the doorbell that was part of a defunct intercom system, all repairs that other electricians told us they couldn't do. Plus, PDQ has always gotten back to us promptly, have been on time for appointments, and thoroughly professional. We've worked with Dave several times in particular and he's a really nice guy who does great work. Their office staff is a pleasure to work with too. PDQ is a little more expensive than other electricians, but they're well worth it for reliable, quality work on the first attempt. The next time we have an electrical problem, we wouldn't think of calling anyone else first. read more
