The fresh made pita bread and the most delicious desserts reminded us of back home. It is too bad that we don't live in the country otherwise we would have come back more often.

The first problem was the menu online isn't super clear - we ordered the halloumi fries - the photo shows four on the dish so we thought it came with four so we ordered 1 quantity - it doesn't clarify anywhere that it comes as 1 piece. Little did we know this legit meant one fry lol. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and my hubby the falafel wrap. Then we shared the eggplant lemon garlic dip and pita. Once we placed the order there was also no indication of when the order would be ready for pick up so we called the restaurant to ask. They said 15 mins. This would have been a perfect time for them to maybe see that we had ordered just 1 halloumi fry and check if that's all we wanted. We arrive and have to wait for an additional 7-10 mins which is fine we weren't in any rush. Got the food home and open the bag and there is our 1 halloumi fry. So we split it lol and it was the best part of the meal. The halloumi was very melty and the exterior was nice and crispy. Where I had the biggest upset was the wrap. It says it has pickles, parsley and garlic toum inside but there was almost zero parsley zero pickles and the garlic sauce wasn't garlicky. On top of that the chicken isn't shredded off a spit, it's chunks of dried out chicken breast. The flavour of the chicken itself isn't bad but the wrap needs some serious overhaul to meet what it sounds like in its description. Also the grill on the pita is too much. It just ends up being a dense dry wrap. My husband's falafel wrap was much better and actually had texture and more of the Syrian flavours that I was looking for. The pita also wasn't grilled so it was nice and chewy still making this wrap just all around way better. The eggplant dip was also lacking - sadly quite bitter and not very enjoyable. The pita was fresh which I can appreciate. Perhaps this was just an off day for them but I was left feeling disappointed.

A very tiny yet highly acclaimed restaurant in Vancouver near Yaletown-Roundhouse SkyTrain station…read more We stumbled upon this place while walking right at opening, so we got first pick at one of the 3 tables for dine-in. Definitely try to go at opening or when it is not busy, as the dine-in experience is memorable - they place your order in a long wooden board to make it a beautiful spread. We got the Manoush'eh Special which has ground beef, pomegranate, etc and Sham Style which is shaped like a boat. We also tried the yogurt drink which pairs well with the dishes. The only con is that this place does not have free water, but it is no problem to have our own water bottles supplementing the meal. We also got the lentil soup which is pretty good. Definitely sufficient to share one to try, but the Manoush'eh outshines the rest of the items. I loved the quality and texture of the Manoush'eh and just the breads in general. It is a lot of food for 2 people so if you want a snack, you can definitely just share 1. Some people go here for the wraps too. Overall, an affordable restaurant with good food. We got the most expensive items and it was less than 50 CAD all-in, but a lot of the items are around the 10 CAD mark.
