I recently started working with The Movement Schopp and wanted to share my experience so far…read more I came in dealing with a disc herniation at L5-S1 that I've had for about seven years. It was debilitating at first, and since then I've managed it, with flare-ups every six months or so. Over the years, I've tried Cox technique, chiropractic care, disc decompression, stretch therapy, acupuncture, and more. Some of these helped, but nothing really addressed the root issue or provided lasting results. This most recent flare-up brought back persistent left-sided lower back and hip pain that would trigger with movements like bending, twisting, core activation, and even push-ups. At times it would "grab" or clench suddenly and affect my day-to-day movement. At that point, I had enough and decided I needed to get to the root of the problem, which I believed was tied to my posture and movement patterns. My initial evaluation with Dr. Geoff was very informative. He explained not just what was going on, but why, and identified issues with my core and pelvic stability that were causing other muscles to overcompensate. He gave me a clear plan with tools I could start using right away, which was very different from past experiences. After just two sessions, I already feel about 80 percent better. The clenching episodes have significantly decreased, and I feel much more stable and in control. That said, this only works if you put in the effort. I've been doing about an hour a day of the prescribed exercises, and that consistency is clearly driving the results. This isn't a passive treatment, they give you the tools, but you have to apply them. I appreciate that approach because it feels like a long-term solution rather than a temporary fix. I'll continue to update this review as I go through the program, especially once I complete the full treatment plan. So far, I've been very impressed and would definitely recommend The Movement Schopp if you're willing to put in the work.

RSPT was amazing from the moment I stepped in. Front desk immediately knew who I was and greeted me, we handled forms and after the briefest of waits I was taken in for initial eval. Sarah was my PT primary and she is a true angel of smarts and kindness. I truly didn't know what to expect. It took me a bit to figure out there are PT aids/assistants who are there to help you with the exercises and the grunt work and then the PT's are there to make sure it's all going right. I was nervous about some of the motion that was going to happen to my injured digit, but Sarah nailed it with just the right amount of oomph to know that healing ain't easy but it's worth it. Then, I met (other) Sara, Jeff, and elle jeffe Frank. All of them took care of me with the same level on care and consideration that (primary) Sarah did.
