Great gym! Not very crowded as everyone else mentions, plenty of parking and very clean. It's a rule at this gym to wipe your equipment down and re rack your weights. Everyone follows the rules which makes it a great experience for all. A little more expensive than a gym like 24 but worth the extra cost for the waaay better experience! read more

I recently called to inquire about a membership, as I've heard good things about this place from friends who just joined. Honestly, it was a pretty frustrating experience. When I asked for basic pricing info, the guy I spoke with, Jonathan, refused to give me any numbers and insisted I had to come in for a tour first. When I pushed back on that policy, he claimed there was a waitlist, which makes no sense because my buddies signed up just a few days ago without any issues. When I asked to speak to a manager, he refused and then just hung up on me. I'm looking for a professional, high end gym experience, and getting treated like that over the phone is not what I expected. I hope management sees this and looks into how they're handling potential members. read more

Updating my prior review after working out at Athlos Iron Lair for a week straight at different hours of the day on and off peak times. The Owners & staff are phenomenal and very accommodating & friendly. The facility is amazing as well as all the equipment. The members are all focused and driven to actually work out which is refreshing to see. I signed up for a one-year membership and, in April, I specifically told the front desk that I did not want my membership to automatically renew after the year ended. Unfortunately, instead of noting my request to prevent auto-renewal, they canceled my membership entirely. When I talked Jonathan (or Yonathan) to the gym, I told them which employee had helped me, but I was informed that he no longer works there. Because there were no notes in the system, they said they couldn't correct the mistake. what disappointed me most wasn't just the error--it was how it was handled. Rather than acknowledging that a staff member made a mistake, he simply repeated that "the system can't undo it" and that there was nothing they could do. There was no apology, no ownership, and no effort to find a reasonable solution. The attitude came across as, "You're out of luck." The frustrating part is that I wasn't trying to get out of paying. I was fully willing to continue paying for the remainder of my one-year membership exactly as I had agreed. I simply wanted the original terms honored. Instead, I was left dealing with the consequences of an employee's mistake, and the gym refused to take responsibility because that employee no longer worked there. What was honestly so strange and surprising was their complete unwillingness to help. In my experience, when a business makes a mistake--especially one as small and fixable as this--they usually try to make it right and keep you as a customer. Instead, I was met with a rigid "rules are rules" response. I asked to speak to a manager but Jonathan stated he was the manager. Mistakes happen, but good or even basic customer service is about how a business responds when they do. Unfortunately, this experience which was easily fixable left me very disappointed. Crazy nice gym, has all the newest equipment from Precor Glutebuilder line and the pieces are all A-tier. Bunch of bodybuilding pieces from Arsenal, Hammer, and even Gym80 imported from Germany. Good place for bodybuilding, but also has racks and deadlift areas for powerlifting, as well as a well-lit outdoor turf area for sports training. This is probably the bougiest gym in the South Bay and they're going to be expanding into the downstairs with a coffee and protein bar and other amenities. They already have clean showers, lockers, pics/posing room, and a water refill station where the water actually tastes decent. They have a one day free trial for new people which is super nice for people on the fence and want to experience it before committing. Check this place out for sure. read more

Pretty solid gym. lots of pros, but definitely cons as well. The arsenal equipment is amazing. great stuff. but not all of the arsenal equipment is good. Chest machines for example. Arsenal isn't known for their chest machines. they have probably the worst ratings among chest press machines and after trying them at this gym, they were true. The hand placement and start position on both machines is incredibly poor. it's extremely awkward and honestly painful. After speaking with other members, they are all in agreement . this is probably why these chest press machines are not used too often. Alot of gym members prefer the hammer strength plate loaded incline chest press like the ones at commercial gyms , and so do I. that addition would put this gym over the top and separate it from its rival Dave fishers powerhouse who also doesn't have the hammer strength incline machine as well. also, please look into getting a real functional trainer. The prime one that is currently there leaves way more to be desired. that piece was created for garage gyms with multiple functions to save space. not an actual gym. it's no where as smooth as a FREEMOTION functional trainer. Back machines are excellent. Minus 2 pieces. The chest supported bent over row is TERRIBLE. Probably one of the worst pieces that arsenal has created. The leverage for it is extremeLy difficult and makes the load significantly heavier FAST. I would hope they move to a nautilus or hoist chest supported Tbar row instead. The isolated plate loaded lat pull down is also pretty bad. Just doesn't seem to feel good no matter what load you're under. Just not a good machine honestly. Again. A hammer strength plate loaded iso lateral high row would kill it here. Another 2 machines that just sit. Vertical leg press is pretty useless here as well. not a big fan and it's very awkward to use. Another thing that is disappointing as well is that the dumbbells only go up to 100. huge problem for us stronger guys. Hope this helps! This gym is on its way though! Hopefully you take account into these issues! it's a really nice gym with so much potential! read more

What can I say about this place other than these pics not doing it justice. Meredith is awesome btw! She makes you feel right at home and I absolutely believe in good hospitality and she provides that. You want it to feel like home. I love the atmosphere the filtered water and the outdoor equipment. I just wish they had a shrug machine. lol the main reason I joined though is to do my business. I'm not in there to socialize and trade recipes or use my phone. I'm old school so it's always A to Z for me. No time wasted for sweat equity. That's why I switched from 24 to Athlos. Love it read more

I met one of the owners, Luis and he gave me a tour of the gym and walked me through everything, he's very welcoming and super nice! I love what they did with the layout!
