    Pretzel

Great place to stop for lunch after a hike. I appreciated their menu. We unfortunately had pizza the night before so opted for two salads, one being the power bowl and a kids grilled cheese. We also order a soft pretzel which was huge. All items were great and service was quick, especially considering how busy they were. This place definitely caters to families with small kids offering a place to play and keeps them in visible range. The outdoor seating gave a nice picnic feel. I highly recommend this place.

Great food + space in Townsend! We really enjoyed our sandwich here + the outdoor patio! We can on a week day so it wasn't busy at all but I imagine this place fills up on the weekends!

This place is a such a cool vibe. Inside or outside seating is plentiful.. it gets busy because it's good beer, good food and good people. We came here with family visiting in town for the weekend. A variety of food was ordered and shared. The turkey BLT was delicious. The pizza is always good.. I wish they used the little cup and char pepperoni but that's a me thing. The fig and pear pizza was ordered by another family member but I tried it.. it was odd. Very sweet and to me more like a dessert pizza. The ingredients by themselves were amazing.. together is just not for me unless I wanted something on sweet side.

So good! Took forever to get pizza which is the o my reason for 4 stars but all food was delish! Great atmosphere for families. Sour was phenomenal.

Wowzer!!! What great food. We were looking for a place away from the Pigeon Forge crowds and happened to stumble across this place and boy am I glad we did. Lightening fast to get the food out. Chicken Hoagie was SOOOOO good. Great simple flavor. Kettle chips are super crunchy with a good balance of salt. Toast d chicken and potatoes were on fire!!! Oh and the triple dip...definite must have

Updated Vegan Review I was disappointed to see the menu change. The dish that used to work for me now comes with three dips: a fish spread, pimento cheese, and hummus. With two out of three being non-vegan, it didn't make sense to pay for items I couldn't eat, so I left. Thankfully, Maryville isn't far and has several vegan-friendly restaurants worth checking out.

We were searching for a place to eat before heading to the firefly event at Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Our first stop had just closed, but the employees there recommended this spot, and I'm so glad they did. What a hidden gem! It was bustling, possibly due to an event happening at the time, but it turned out to be perfect since we had time to spare before the fireflies event. We waited in a long line to order, which actually worked in our favor, everything on the menu looked so good, we needed the extra time to decide! Our boys went with the pepperoni pizza, while my husband and I shared a couple of sandwiches and the fig pizza. Every bite was absolutely phenomenal. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere lively, and the food unforgettable. Next time we're in town visiting the Smokies, this will definitely be our go to spot!

We stopped by after spending the day in Oak Ridge, TN. Lines were long and out the door. Guess that was a good sign. We got the Three Meat Pizza which contained pepperoni, bacon, Italian sausage, mozzarella, and parmesan red sauce. Peaceful Side Social makes sourdough pizza and I have to say that I have never had sourdough pizza. I'm glad I got to try because it was rather delicious. Lots of good chunks of the three meats in each bite. We also got the garden salad which was just enough for the two of us. There were plenty of people eating outside but we were happy staying inside with the air conditioning! After finishing our meal, we went over to the creamery side of the store. We got in line and asked for strawberry and another flavor which I forgot. The server grabbed a cup and we said we wanted a cone. She was clearly mad at us for saying that but I don't see why because she didn't ask if we wanted a cup or cone! She flipped the cup in her hand back in the pile (which she didn't even use to put any ice cream in yet!) and made a big sigh. She got the cone and looked at the container of strawberry and said they were out. So I changed my order. And just as I told her my new flavor choice, she decided she was going to try to scoop up the last little bits of strawberry ice cream. I barely got a scoop of the leftover bits before she scooped out the second flavor. I thought she was really rude and impatient and to scoop up just bits from an empty container was not serving a customer with the best of what you have. The three stars is really for the pizza.

A nice place to hang out. We were in Townsend this week and we visited Peaceful Side Social twice; once for lunch and once for an afternoon beer. The restaurant has nice seating inside and a spacious beer garden outside. There's a pleasant and casual atmosphere here. Food and beer are ordered at the counter. You're given an electronic tracker and they use it to find you when they deliver your food and drinks. The pretzel with beer cheese was enjoyable. It was large, warm, and served with some delicious homemade beer cheese and mustard. I'd recommend ordering it. The beef stew was tasty and seemed like the perfect thing to order on a cool fall afternoon. But, the bowl was barely half full. It definitely wasn't worth the $17.50 charged. A full bowl of stew would have been great, because it had nice flavor with fresh beef and herbs. I'm downgrading my stars due to the portion size of the stew. The beers are wonderful. We especially liked the Peaceful Side IPA (#1 on the menu), the Peaceful Side Oktoberfest (#3 on the menu), and the Tennessee Highlands Stout (#12 on the menu). I recommend the beer here. And the food is tasty. But, I was very disappointed by the portion size of the beef stew.

This place is a hidden gem! We spotted it while driving and so glad we did. Amazing patio area, great food choices, and an amazing place for pups and kids to relax with plenty of shade! Also- some of the best fries I've ever had.

The house sausage made to perfection, the benne seed bacon was like something I've NEVER had before, and the pickled shrimp with the comeback sauce was INSANE. Coming from someone that doesn't like cold shrimp, it was out of the water. Literally. The waygu burger was delicious and cooked perfect, although sweet due to the jam, something to keep in mind! Fries were yummy and cooked to perfection as well. Lastly, the filet mignon. Words can't describe how much I enjoyed this meal. It's been a long time since I've walked out absolutely pleased. The port-reduction was sweet and a perfect dipper, the steak was so tender and the béarnaise sauce on top takes it to the next level! Pickled veggies, braised onion, and yummy tender Yukon potatoes. You really can't get any better than this plate right here in my opinion! Aside from the food, our sever was so kind, helpful, and very welcoming. You're tucked away in the forest with the most peaceful ambiance in the evening! The waiter introduced the menu to us and mentioned that the ingredients were all mostly locally sourced and or grown in their garden when you first turn onto the driveway. So great to know exactly where your food is coming from! For the starter, I shared the crab corn chowder - and the waiter was kind enough to split the soup into two bowls with my partner. This was a perfect starter! Creamy, a little smokey, and not too heavy like your typical chowder. Lacking in the crab department, but it's as you would suspect with anything advertising 'containing crab' at a restaurant. We were also given complimentary corn bread and it was delicious. Such a nice surprise and I definitely preferred having the cornbread over regular bread! The service was a little slow, especially to bring the appetizer and bread out, but I wasn't too bothered since it didn't seem like we were rushed to finish our meal. I ordered the filet mignon (med rare) as my main. The flavors were spot on! My filet was a bit tougher than other filets I've had in the past... it was difficult to cut into. I also wished there was more of the red wine sauce to balance the richness of all the accompanying flavors and textures. All in all, this spot was a special treat tucked away in Townsend and I'm glad I didn't have to drive too far for a well-crafted menu and food scene!

The food and coffee were both delicious. My only complaint is the portion size. Prices were similar to other restaurants in the area, but the amount of food served felt much smaller. If anything, I hope that this review helps the owners to reconsider some of their offerings. First off, there are multiple cars parked in the parking lot making the average passer buyer think that the restaurant is extremely busy. It does seem like they are known for their Italian food, but they also offered breakfast. First off, I don't like anything special for breakfast. I am very happy with scrambled eggs, a biscuit, bacon I ordered just that, scrambled eggs, a biscuit, and bacon. It was honestly horrendous. Again, I really hate saying this because I know that it's family run and in a small town, but I think they need to reevaluate the breakfast situation. I know that breakfast food is pretty bland, but this was beyond bland and not worth the money. The girl that was seating people that morning was not friendly at all, and we didn't even know that we were supposed to follow her. I definitely hope that their Italian is better than the breakfast, and maybe they should reevaluate the business model. Overall, I do not recommend, we probably would've been better just having breakfast at the campsite.
