You have to walk up to pay and you have to serve yourself for water. The food was super delicious. This place is pricy. However, I do like the food presentation. We ordered a spicy tuna to share, unagi aburi and a salmon aburi. Food was delicious. Everything made just like the way we normally get or tasted like from what you get at the sushi restaurant from Vancouver. This place is ran by authentic Japanese people. It's one of the best ramen broths I've ever had! I'll admit it was a little strange to see cilantro in top of ramen, but it worked. There was also shredded cabbage, negi/leeks, carrots and smoky tofu. The soup was super decadent and creamy with a deep shiitake flavor. I don't know how they got this broth so good but I was sure not to let it go to waste. I finished as much of it as I could. The bf ordered the KOJO Chicken Ramen. The chicken was tender and lightly grilled on the outside for extra umami. There was a nice balance of veggies and the egg was a bit overdone for a ramen egg but was fine for his preferences. We also shared the veggie roll. It was pretty simple and tasted as you would expect. Call it blasphemy but I loved the ramen broth so much I dipped the sushi in the broth instead of shoyu. I stand by my decision. If you live in Penticton, I hope you become a regular here. If you're visiting, you definitely need to reserve a meal here. The food is top notch!

I can't really think of anything bad to say about anything about it other than the wasabi our order came with seemed to be a bit heavy on horseradish filler and so was a bit harsh on the palate (I bought a tube I saw near the front of the restaurant they had for sale of prepared wasabi which had a much better balance & used it instead), and while the wait time for the order for pickup was a bit long (about 55 minutes), it was actually pretty understandable since there was almost a steady stream of other people popping in & out to grab the pickup orders they placed earlier, so the kitchen must have been pretty busy already by the time we got there.
