We didn't venture onto any paths with elevation; the main path we chose followed the river and there were lots of areas to walk down to get a close up view or even wade if inclined. The path was shady also which was nice. I loved seeing the waterfall by the river right by the parking lot. This was a great time and I'd definitely return to explore some more paths or take a longer trek.

Our camper came in contact with the side of our bed and tailgate multiple times. In the end we suffered a hole busted in our front cap from it hitting the side of the truck, we damaged the side of our truck bed and broke every support on our rear ladder. Upon check out we advised of damages and were only met with an "I'm sorry." 10/10 do not recommend if you own a fifth wheel or even a low riding bumper pull.

Long Ridge is a very well run camp ground with wonderful bathrooms and showers. They have spots for tent and electric and water van hook ups so they cater to all manner of camping. And while they advertise two night minimums online, if you call a person they'll let you stay for one night. Our neighbor smoked cigars and had slow R&B music playing till about 9pm and then it was quiet. We able to get a fire started fairly easily at our site. There was a pond with fish in it for catch and release only. No other amenities. The night was quiet and got down to the low 50s and I slept well enough to function the next day. All in all a great time here.

Everyone was super friendly and almost all of the campers stopped to talk to us as they went about the park walking their dogs, going for a stroll, or visiting the ponds and walking trail. We felt very welcome and our pets were very welcome, too. Every campsite had at least one pet, if not two. I highly recommend Deer Springs if you want a campground that is a quiet, relaxing spot. Take a jacket - it gets cooler at night (elevation is over 3400') than the surrounding area.
