I run a business, Wojdylo Social Media, and I need wifi even if it is not a strong signal. If I were getting away and taking clients to go fly fishing and golfing in the mountains it would be a challenge for me to run my business as I have email to check and social networks to update. I have AT&T which has absolutely zero service at the lodge. In fact, my service in the Nantahala River Gorge is very spotty. I will pick up service at NOC and as I get past Andrews but I will not have service anywhere in the Gorge. If internet and cell phone service do not matter to you this is definitely a five star location. The lodge is right along the Upper Nantahala River which is one of the best fly fishing rivers this side of the Mississippi. The river fishes much better in the fall and the spring compared to the summer. If you are going to take a trip to the Nantahala to go fly fishing I would strongly suggest going before June or after September 1st. This will give you optimal fly fishing conditions. Staying at the Nantahala River Lodge will allow you to fish, basically, from your back porch. It is also a great opportunity to bring a book and just get away. There are plenty of books and games in the house so even if you forget your entertainment you will still have something to read or play.

Long Ridge is a very well run camp ground with wonderful bathrooms and showers. They have spots for tent and electric and water van hook ups so they cater to all manner of camping. And while they advertise two night minimums online, if you call a person they'll let you stay for one night. Our neighbor smoked cigars and had slow R&B music playing till about 9pm and then it was quiet. We able to get a fire started fairly easily at our site. There was a pond with fish in it for catch and release only. No other amenities. The night was quiet and got down to the low 50s and I slept well enough to function the next day. All in all a great time here.

Our camper came in contact with the side of our bed and tailgate multiple times. In the end we suffered a hole busted in our front cap from it hitting the side of the truck, we damaged the side of our truck bed and broke every support on our rear ladder. Upon check out we advised of damages and were only met with an "I'm sorry." 10/10 do not recommend if you own a fifth wheel or even a low riding bumper pull.

The cabin is a perfect harmony for me, just like it's name "Perfect Harmony". It's has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, very sweet, cute, and cozy. It comes with full kitchen (including supplies just bring your groceries), big screen TV with DirectTV and wifi access. Two decks top and bottom with beautiful view of the sweet serenity of the mountains. The top deck has a thing you can start a fire (lol - I really don't know what it's call), they have logs for you. The bottom deck has a hot bubbling jacuzzi fit four. The overall furniture and decors are amazing. Their theme are bears, pine trees, and pine cones. I would definitely come back to this cabin again.

The cabins are nestled in a mini forest with a babbling brook flowing just feet away from the wonderful back porch. Inside, the cabin was immaculately clean, the bath towels were very soft, the coffee provided was very good, and the bed was very comfortable. We truly wished we had a few more days to enjoy the cabin and surrounding cities; we hope to visit again soon.

Our Deer Lodge Leader, steak wrangler, master of caremonies. I'm a bit shy, so I....(YEAH, right!) So I inquired of Ian, which cut caught his fancy? He rebounded with a well done response. T-Bone. T-Bones it was! For three of us. That fourth one, no names, Butch, bucked the trend and went for a ribeye. It wasn't long, Ian reemerged from behind red partition, hefting plates of meat and potato magnificence. As a fine tuned Foodie, this charming niche carved into the side of a chunk of Georgia rock fulfilled a tantalizing fantasy for me. A venture into a rarely found world of Med Rare and more. Sizzles on a flat top turned into scent-sational fantasy fare. These huge hunks of meat were T-Bone perfection. The long side, the strip. The smaller side, a much anticipated tenderloin. A cut oh so tender. Fork tender. The explosion of flavors did NOT disappoint! Thoughts of joy ran through my head, 'damn glad I'm not a vegan'. Hey, we tried.
