While traveling from Memphis TN I had my first consultation with the owner Christina when my female chow Lozi was only a few months old. She guided us as a household on how to stop Lozi's food aggression, toy aggression and general non-compliance. That was four years ago so I don't have too many other details except that Christina started us out great. I had little experience as a dog owner and she instilled some key guidelines for my family and Lozi. Lozi is a well adjusted chow with ZERO aggression issues with other dogs, people or cats. A short week or so after we got our Mountain Feist puppy Bella, I scoured the internet for a good place to help us train the newest member of our family. In December of 2013 I rescued a very loving and energetic and even more stubborn 10 month old Australian Cattle Dog. I had a very easy to handle dog already and thought another would be just as easy. I was wrong. He would chew anything that he could reach. He didn't know his own strength and would bowl over anyone in his path. He would jump on and nip at anyone who just wanted to pet him. I tried things that worked on my other dog plus other techniques I had read about, but nothing worked. I found Peachtree Dog Training online and set up a consultation. On the first visit Christina had my dog calmly responding to commands. And she showed me how to handle him better so that he would respond the same way to me. After a few months of Christina's training, I had a very well behaved, playful dog that even obeys my 8 year old son. I had brought my Lab, Jessi, to other trainers to deal with her hyperactivity and her sudden leash aggression. Each one of the trainers and their packages did not give me the permanent results I wanted. I was starting to think I could never bring my girl to Piedmont Park again, in fear of her snapping at another dog, or even a person, while walking on the leash. Christina changed all of that for me. She gave me the proper learning tools and instructions to become a leader in my home again. At the first lesson, I saw a changed dog, but then I wondered if it would last. Christina and Peachtree Dog Training were incredible for us. We were having such difficulty with our new dog, and didn't think we would ever get his anxiety and food aggression under control. She was so patient in working with us, not to mention so flexible in meeting us in our own home when we were available. The best part of her training is that the focus was entirely on teaching us how to train our dog, not her doing everything and having the dog learn to obey her. I cannot say enough good things about Christina and Peachtree Dog Training! I have an 11 year old Jack Russell that has so much anxiety and dog/leash aggression that she was recently put on Prozac. We contacted Christina to help us get our two young Weimaraners under control due to the fact that we have a baby on the way. Our boys are good boys, we just needed them to calm down and look to/obey us in certain situations in which otherwise they would be out of control (barking, jumping etc). Christina was very good in working with us on number and length of sessions. She was always very kind and professional, she even offered to help us again with any issues that might arise after the baby comes! After several training sessions, our boys are now more calm, obedient and overall more of a pleasure to interact with. My partner and I signed up with Christina to get some help training our 2 dogs and we are so happy we did. They had a range of issues from aggression with other dogs/people to complete panic and destruction during storms and fireworks. The methods Christina teaches really gets control of the dogs and creates a much more relaxed environment both inside and out of the house. The best part about the training and why I originally called is that she comes to you for the training. It can be daunting to go to a group training when your dog is super aggressive with other dogs. This way we were able to first learn how to manage the dogs in stressful situations before putting ourselves and our dogs to the test. Christina is a miracle worker!!!! I recently got a puppy from Fulton County, and was in over my head. Thankfully I saw Christina's name in my local coffee shop, she saved my sanity. Luna had several puppy issues, jumping, going to the bathroom in the house, pulling on her leash, barking at other dogs, and food aggression. Christina has been working with us over the last month and it's like I have a new dog. She used balanced reward-based training method that set Luna up for success. Our rescue pup is an absolute sweetheart but was very high energy and did not listen. Like a lot of families, we fell in love with our rescue mutt the first time we saw her. However, due to her background she came with many issues: jumping, food aggression, and aggression/fear responses to men. Christina was a godsend during this adjustment period. She has a near-magical way with dogs, and we noticed improvement quickly.
