Deceptive business practices. Went to the Alpharetta location at 870 Main Street. Front desk associate told me they took my insurance after presenting card. They charged me my copay of $5. Month later they charged my debit card for $245. Said that they made a mistake and do not take my insurance and that I am liable for payment. Contacted them and they have refused to give the money back even after admitting it was their mistake. Wrote the CEO (Bill Miller). He responded rudely and said even though it was their mistake, I am liable. This deceptive culture comes from the top down. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! read more

This place is horrible! I tried to book an appointment online as they asked me to do at 7:20 but it wouldn't work so after wasting 10 minutes, I jumped in the car and called on the way there. She said oh we have a cut off time I said when you close at 8 PM she said oh yeah we have a cut off time at 7:30. I said how was that possible you're an urgent care with post hours 8-8. And she said you can only come in late if you have an appointment. Do you want an appointment before we close and I said well you know what I'm gonna be there in three minutes so is that OK and then when I got there she Act like I had cooties the two white men in the waiting room did not have a mask and she asked me to wear a mask. Went there for a simple UTI. The facility is in my blue cross blue shield network, so I expected to pay the office copay and nothing else. I paid the copay and now get a claim from a lab they used for analysis that is not in my insurance network, so I am in for 266 USD in addition to 30 USD copay. Nobody told me they were going to send samples for analysis to a lab out of network. And by the way, I have not heard about the results either.... My husband and I have used the Services at the Suwanee location and have always had excellent care. They have online appointment scheduling which is very easy. Although nearly every medical facility in the Atlanta area is short staffed, we have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for service because we had an appointment. A piece of advice to all of you who had to wait or got there and they were closed. I was there only to have my blood pressure check which took 5 mins & they sent me a bill of $427 , with $289 deducted form my card & rest to insurance. Never bothered to send a bill to me. While checking in , I had asked the lady at the counter to provide estimate, for which they made 100 excuses & swiped me card. I never expected them to charge a $427 for a blood pressure check . Woah !! When I called them back, the billing team says thats their regular charge for such a visit. Then why they provide an estimate while checking in. Complete Non-Transparency to rip off patients. I'm very impressed. My wife took my daughter here last week and bragged about how easy everything was and how they even sent the prescription in for her. I brought my elderly mother in today and the only wait there was was for the time that it took my mother to fill out the new patient paperwork. All of the staff was very kind and thorough. I see how you can check in on their website but when I went to check in today, it said that there was a zero minute wait. read more

One of the worst urgent care experiences. The PA didn't seem interested at all and barley spent 2 minutes with me. Plus she didn't care at all about the depth of my symptoms and dismissed everything as a ear ache. This was the worst clinic I've ever visited. My initial visit was a Wednesday morning for a minor sinus infection, so I visited with a PA instead of a doctor. After the assessment, I was told they would send 2 prescriptions to my pharmacy. Wednesday evening I stopped by my pharmacy and was told they had no record of the prescriptions there or at any of their other locations. I left a voicemail at this clinic explaining the situation and asked for a return call. Thursday morning, I decided to leave another voicemail. By late Thursday afternoon, I still had not been called back. I decided to drive back to the office and show up in person. I asked to speak to someone in charge. The young girl behind the desk asked me to wait while she went back to explain what the problem was to someone else. In the background were several employees laughing and not seeming to be very busy. It took about 15 minutes before she came back with another young girl, obviously not someone in charge, who first let me know that they had been so busy that day that no one had been able to eat lunch. I was skeptical with the background party that seemed to be going on. She said that they would send the prescriptions to my pharmacy, but that it had been overlooked the day before. She did not offer an apology until I got upset (mad face with raised voice) and told her that I wasn't happy that they hadn't called me back and wasted an hour of my day trying to get the problem resolved. I wanted to call my pharmacy before I left to make sure they had gotten the prescriptions, but the girl then told me that it would take at least 2 hours for it to show up in their system. At that point, I asked them to just give me the prescriptions on paper so I could personally deliver them to my pharmacy. The receptionist went back to Oz, came back and told me there were 2 people ahead of me that needed to be taken care of. I asked what that meant. Are they waiting to be seen by a doctor or are they needing prescriptions ordered also? She couldn't clarify, so I told her I would only wait 10 minutes and they would have it done for me no later than that. In exactly 10 minutes, I had the prescriptions in hand. Unfortunately, this office's customer service is 2 young girls, probably Millenials, who know little to nothing about maintaining a busy office, or what customer service entails (check your voicemails and call people back/offer an apology/don't ask people to continue waiting when they're already inconvenienced/don't make excuses/don't act like you've just been visited by aliens). I'm a patient person, but I'm not waiting 2 days to get my prescriptions filled because of back office incompetence. I shouldn't have had to drive back to this office to get my problem resolved. I won't be back. This office needs customer service training STAT. read more

Great facility. Everyone was very pleasant and very nice which is a breathe of fresh air when you aren't feeling well. I felt like the dr actually listened and thoroughly explained when I had questions. They had me in and out very quickly which I was thankful for not feeling well. I read the most recent comment by my fellow Yelper Tavis W and he got it right. Dr. Halliburton and her staff runs a well oiled machine here. Took my husband here today 1/9/17 and we couldn't be happier with the service provided here and most importantly it's close to home. I think all the other previous negative reviews were before Dr. Halliburton joined the team. I love that they also called in our prescription as well which may be the norm for some, but we're finding more and more doctors getting lazy and not wanting to do this for the client. The only advice I have is to not get comfortable and keep up the great work, so you'll have repeat lifelong clients. read more

This place is awful. Doc was condescending. The room I was in smelled bad. Floors and tables were dirty. Doc didn't explain anything. When I feel better I will be reporting this location. They took my co pay and then charged $25 for blood. Before they took the blood, the receptionist came in and asked for payment. She asked for cash (what)?? Then I had an x-ray, which was another $35 charge. The only thing good about this place are the hours...open til 9pm on weekends. I went here with the first signs of chickenpox and was told by the Nurse Practitioner that it was hives. She told me that chickenpox has a red dot with white circle around it and I dare anyone to find pictures of that online. What I had looked exactly like chickenpox, had the symptoms of chickenpox and she refused to even really look at them. Due to not being treated properly for chickenpox within the 1st 24 hours, I ended up having it way worse than I should have. I should have been put on antivirals and she refused to believe it was anything more than hives. I was deathly ill for weeks due to her incompetence. I informed the office of her negligence and didn't even receive an apology. Then I was billed $226 for her negligence. Don't go here, they do not know what they are doing and they just disregard anything you tell them, when they are wrong in the first place. Horrible practice!! read more

Went there today and waited an hour before seeing the dr. Dr Halliburton was very nice but when patients aren't feeling well they just want to get back to resting at home. This is the 2nd time that this has happened where I have had to wait for a long time. There was only one patient in front of me too and no one else in the waiting room when I arrived. She zipped through the exam, I think she was only in there for maybe 4-5 mins so I'm not sure why the wait is so long? read more

Please... Please choose a different urgent care if you have any choice. These people are SHADY! I went in a few weeks ago with an infected tooth. I couldn't see my dentist until Monday, but needed antibiotics. I could've driven 30 minutes north to Chestatee Emergent Care and paid $80, but I was in a lot of pain and Peachtree Immediate Care was close. I went in, service was fine, doctor was nice. The nurse and doctor both looked in my mouth with a light, called in an antibiotic and I was on my way in 5 minutes. I thought it was great, until my debit card was charged today and I had to deal with their billing department. The bill they emailed me had no breakdown of charges, just a total.... for $282 for a 5 minute office visit with NO TESTS. I called and asked how much they charge for an office visit and the receptionist said "It's complicated... you'll have to call billing" What?? It's complicated?? So, I called billing. Kristina informed me that they charged my insurance company $500 for that little visit and the $282 was my responsibility. They get your debit card when you come in, so you don't have a choice or even a chance for recourse when they WAY overcharge you. I told Kristina that I would have been better off paying cash out of pocket that day and if they hadn't been so shady I could have paid HALF what they had now charged me. Kristina's attitude was pretty much "Oh well, too bad for you." Unless you like having your money stolen and your insurance company defrauded... find another urgent care. I cut my foot badly, found the Mathis Road location online, called ahead to confirm they could do stitches and we headed over there. Staff was OUTSTANDING. Before I had even completed the paperwork, the front desk person (nurse?) had come out to get my method of payment to hurry things along for me. I was called back immediately and everyone I came into contact with was amazing. They were professional while still being caring and friendly. The PA did my Lidocaine injections and stitches while the doctor came in to help me get through the injections to the wound site (it was extremely painful and she was trying to distract me). There were two others as well who were helping the process go quicker for the PA too. I've been to other urgent care facilities and none have ever come close to this one. This one will be the only one I use in the future. I wish I had gotten everyone's name but I was kind of distracted by the injury. This team of medical professionals were awesome and I hope I thanked everyone! read more

I visited Peachtree Immediate Care for flu like symptoms and they sent me an invoice for $500. All they did was take my temperature and check my blood pressure. I will not be going back to this place. The billing practices are criminal. read more

So ... this is how they operate: First, they make you sign an authorization for them to charge your credit card; you do this before a physician or nurse practitioner sees you. Next, you fill out the usual forms. Then, a nurse practitioner sees you. In the case of my son, she spent a couple of minutes looking in his mouth at a small abscess, and then prescribed an antibiotic. No tests, no lab work, just a peek into his mouth. Then they charge $492.02 for their services. After that, they ... WHOA! that must have been a typo ... $492.02, no way! Way. My insurance company had them write off $216.39 of that charge (I can guess why), leaving us with a $275.63 bill ... for a NP to look in my son's mouth for a few minutes and prescribe an antibiotic. I called them to ask them why they charged so much. After all, $275/$492 for five minutes of work translates into an hourly rate of $3300/$5904, which is good work if you can find it! The answer I got was, the rate was justified because of all the data entry they had to do, my son being a new patient and all. Well, I want to do data entry at Peachtree Immediate Care! Then they said that the rate was "industry standard." I think that response is "industry standard" and basically means, "we can't justify what we charge." I mean, charging for "data entry" for new patents ... aren't most of their patients new, this being an immediate care clinic? What a business model! Well, three things to say here: 1) Shame on my son for trusting them by giving them his credit card. Life lesson, there. 2) If you're going to use this facility, go in with your eyes open and watch out! 3) Ask if their hiring data entry clerks; you'll make a fortune! read more

I have been to the facility on Clairemont Rd many times! Many times for IV for dehydration! The staff is great! Never a wait! But yesterday I went because again I knew I was dehydrated. Omg! The person behind the counter tells me they-have NO IV solution! On back order! That is crazy! It is my understanding they are connected to Emory. So they can't get some from Emory ? I went to Piedmont Urgent Care. Used them once before and they are great! Peachtree Immediate Care now drops my rating of them! Hope they read this posting and correct this problem. Because the nurse didn't listen to me several times he gave me the wrong Covid test! I had to pay $150 out-of-pocket for a rapid test which is free at most places... I told him several times I needed the traveling PCR test in which I did not get back in time for my traveling! I had to go to another facility in Atlanta to get a PCR test in time for my travel out of the country... I brought this to the attention of Randa Wood , the operations director. I told her about all the mistakes that Peachtree immediate care did at Johns Creek Georgia and demanded a refund... In which I did not receive because she stood behind her people and she could not get me a refund through her billing department ....which is pathetic! So I had to pay an additional amount of money for another PCR test just to have insurance that I was able to fly out of the country. Very incompetent nurses with rude receptionist answering calls! I understand that it's no fun to stay late for work, but if a patient/customer arrives before you close, you should offer to see them.
