I walked in at 5:30 pm & nobody was in the lobby. Check in was a breeze & yes they require masks. I forgot mine so they had extra on the desk. Sat for about 5 mins & was called back. Sat for about 5 mins & I had blood pressure checked. 5 mins later the "dr" came in. A very inflamed hip & needed a big anti inflammatory shot & 3 perscriptions to fill, if I feel I need them to feel better in my surrounbg back/hip areas. Out in 30 mins. They have sm tv's in the room playing old-school Bugs Bunny- hysterical! They had tv's turned down so I could hear the 80/90's music playing. Pretty cool office in a nice shopping center at McGinnis Ferry/P'tree Industrial. Everything was clean & everyone friendly. Still ache so I hope this shot kicks in soon- been over an hour. read more

It is perfectly fine that they don't do stool samples/testing, but the rudeness toward me and my child was rather unnecessary. No stars. "Doctor" Martin Dixon needs to work on his bedside manners. He spoke down to me and dismissed my concerns about my physical pain. Also, he tried to not perform the X-ray that I came in for. Even after I called in to ask if they did X-rays, told the receptionist why I needed one done, and even asked again before paying to have an X-ray done. They assured me they'd do it, and understood what I needed it for. After I paid, and went in to see the doctor, he then told me they'd wouldn't be performing an X-ray. Why tell me that you would and that you understood why I needed it, and take my money, then tell me that you won't do the very thing that I paid you to do. I had to verbally go back and forth with him just to get him to give me what I paid for. They are money grabbers, deceptive, and lack good bedside manners. read more

I probably go here once a yr. Last Aug 2023 I went because I couldn't get over Covid. Found out I had Covid pneumonia. I went Sunday 9/16/24 because I had a sore throat for about 5 days and a cough. I wanted to make sure I didn't have strep because I'm going in this wk for a colonoscopy and you can't have Covid or bacterial infection. The little gal PA walked in and told me (before they had the results from the step test) that "I didn't look sick enough to have strep"! First, since we have never met how would she know how I look when I'm sick? Second, I specifically said I want to make sure I don't have an infection before I go in for my colonoscopy. Her bedside manner is absolutely atrocious. Maybe she was having a bad day? Who knows? What an awesome talent to be able to diagnose someone just by looking at them! read more

My teenage daughter was having problems with her eye getting red and itchy and we are visiting from out of state. I yelped urgent care and I came across this clinic which is only a few minutes from my parents home. We found this place easily with the yelp map and I was happy to see that the waiting room was not full when we walked in. I filled out a few forms and my daughter was seen within 20 minutes of walking in. Bryan was the PA on duty and I was very impressed with his triage and intake of my daughter's symptoms. I'm in the medical field myself and I was confident in his assessment and treatment plans. We got a prescription filled at a nearby Walgreens and hopefully her symptoms improve soon. Everyone here was very pleasant. As a visitor to the state and being unfamiliar with how medical issues are handled , I walked away a very happy mom. I absolutely love this office and the providers. If money isn't an issue and all you care about is excellent care in a clean environment, you are at the right place. I wanted to provide a cautionary note to patients who have been coming here for a long time, such as myself. Since being purchased by North Georgia Health Systems, the cost to see a provider more than doubled. Historically, until I met my deductible I would pay $140-$145/visit in total. Now, the cost is $336/visit. I was absolutely not expecting to receive a bill for an additional $236.00 after I paid in the office what I thought was the total visit fee. I have inquired about being a cash patient In hopes of being able to co to use to come here. Hopefully this will prepare someone else in advance of receiving a large, unexpected, bill read more

This place used to be amazing when Dr Perry ran it. Now that it is a part of Northeast Georgia Health System, everything that made it amazing is gone. You used to just pay no more than $150 with or without insurance. Now it is over $320. If you were sick and had to comeback within a few days, the visit was free...no more. Will NEVER go there again. They are charging crazy money for basic service that is so overpriced that the negotiated rate just doesn't exist. read more

I am updating my review due to unethical billing practices. I went to GUC on 1/7/21 for a rapid and PCR COVID test. They charged me $125 which they said would be reimbursed once my insurance paid though. It is now 3/24/21 and I have received no payment. Insurance paid them on 1)13/21. I have called them three or four times regarding my refund. Each time it's a different excuse, and no money has been refunded. I had referred seven other people to go there for their testing. All of them have also not been refunded their money. I am reaching out to the state medical board, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and the insurance commissioner regarding this scam that they have going on. I have been a patient there for many years, and have always had great care. My previous review has five stars.. But they definitely are taking advantage of Covid and people that are desperate to get tested. I would not recommend going there! read more

Visited this urgent care center for the first time and the experience was nothing less then amazing. They helped me right away, the lady at front desk was extremely nice and helpful in getting my paper work filled quickly. The doctor was patient and professional. Within an hour I was seen, received blood work, an x ray, and other tests. They were able to locate source if my pain and helped in efficiently solving it. Totally recommend this place for anyone not sure if they should visit here or an ER first. read more

I visited the Gwinnett Urgent Care facility for the first time. I observed that the bathroom in the waiting room was not kept clean and in proper sanitation. There was no supply of paper towels just a small hot air dryer. While waiting, I observed two black Retriever dogs freely walking around the entire doctor's office, including but not limited to the waiting room. The dogs seemed to be just hanging out. I heard excessively loud music playing in the examination room area and lobby past the waiting room. After waiting for 20 minutes, I was called by a medical assistant. She let me know that because I had not met my deductible, I had to pay $130.00 for the consultation visit before the service was rendered. I heard other waiting-to-be-seen patients being told the same thing, some of them, paid $130.00 cash upfront before actually seeing or speaking to a doctor or general practitioner. The medical assistant mentioned to me that because this particular clinic is privately owned, the doctor chooses how to charge and that my insurance has approved of it. I replied with the fact that they're supposed to bill my insurance first and then send me an invoice for what it's contractually owed. She responded quickly with, "this office does not do that." CVS minute clinic charges an average of $100.00 per consultation/visit. CVS minute clinic does not charge customers before the service is performed but later by mail, and they offer online appt. scheduling. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. read more

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST. I went in yesterday because I did not feel good at all. My head was hurting, I felt nauseous, drained, and my throat was bothering me. They did a urine sample, blood test, and x-ray. Everything was how it should be and they said I was just constipated, but I was fine. The doctor looked in my throat and said it was just dry. Today, I felt even worse so I went to ANOTHER urgent care and all it took was one simple strep throat test. And what do you know? It came back positive. 0/10 recommend going here. Visited this office earlier today in excruciating pain. Double ear infection. I went to another urgent care office the day before and had gotten zero relief. Definitely felt my symptoms were getting worse. One I got to GUC, from door, they were professional and courteous. Office is clean and very well maintained. I checked in, paperwork and paid. In a room in under 10 minutes. The doctor was proficient and told me immediately that the doctor from the other facility had prescribed wrong antibiotic! He gave me a shot and sent me out with new prescriptions. He also told me if I didn't get relief within 24 hours, to call back! Very kind, professional and proficient! Web site says Covid test procedure is to call office and they will assign a number. Says stay in car and they will swab you in car. Don't believe it. I arrived at 7:30 and office opens at 8. I was the 4th car in the lot. As I followed the instructions people started lining up at the door. By the time they opened there were 25 people in line. I call as instructed and was told that they didn't have enough people to register people on the phone. So I had to get in line. Then, I signed in and was told they would call me and then I'd come back in to be swabbed. read more

I came to this facility to be seen for an upper respiratory infection. I come to urgent cares for small stuff. Upon entering this facility I saw, as you would, a "Masks Required sign. Once I went into the back, I walked by two staff members without masks on standing in a group of five staff members by a desk with one about three feet away from the path in which I was waking. I asked the staff member taking care of me if everyone was required to wear masks. She asked who, and I told her two staff members I had walked by. She said "well, they're on break." I asked whether people on break can't transmit COVID. She assured me "they don't have COVID."She started blowing me off when I mentioned it. It's very distracting receiving care from a group of such unprofessional healthcare providers. When she left, I heard her telling the staff outside my concern and they STARTED LAUGHING. The door was closed, but they were literally right outside my door. One said to the other "welcome back." Before anyone says I don't know what it's like still wearing a mask, let me assure that I do still wear a mask as I'm an RN who works in a clinic. I'd like to give them two stars for the PA I saw, but that is some serious neglect, not only to take a patient's concerns seriously, but to trivialize that concern. I didn't appreciate how the doctor or pa asked me to get an imaging test of my leg and ordered the test, then once results came back they did not call with my imaging results, I had to call them a number of times. I felt as though I had to hunt them down to give me the results and then for the treatment after the imaging, they suggested I go to my primary care or I could come there. I just felt as though they should have offered to treat me not push me off on my PCP. I had some other concerns such as alternative treatment options which I felt were not directly addressed when i asked them and it was always the nurse relaying information back and forth between the PA and I. She seemed rushed and not as caring as the PA had been. The impression i got was they didn't seem too eager to finish what they had started after they referred me to get imaging done, then promised to treat thereafter. This changed my views of them, its as though they got my money from the initial visit and then I became less important once it was time to actually treat me. They are worth a visit and I probably will give them another chance but will definitely ask to speak with the PA or Dr. Only for test results, diagnosis and treatment options. read more

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! This will absolutely be where I come and I bring my family!! Came in with crazy 10/10 pain in the my back. I finished my paperwork, literally ten minutes later I was in the back room with triage and saw a provider with moments. They went through all my medical and seriously cared!! They even did an x-ray just to make sure! Josh was my "triage nurse" and he was so nice and kind. Josh listened to me and I felt like he cared about what I was saying. Dr. Elliot came in and immediately I was put at ease ! He had already read my medical records and just wanted to confirm a few things with me. Notes need for work and prescriptions were instantaneously sent out! An hour and excellent medical care! Caring and excellent care is hard to come by (trust me I have to see a bunch of doctors) and I will happily be back!!! read more

Excellent. Quality care and appreciate that they have antibiotics. Called today with potential sinus /flu and chest pains when coughing. I asked about what time and she said "no wait". I got here in 10 minutes and it was empty. My luck! They had me in the system so needed to do little before sitting down.... waited less than 3 minutes and was called back. Dillon is very nice /pleasant guy. The Dr. or PA came in (Elliott) ihe was the PA or Dr. They did a flu test but he said they have a lot false positives in that test but with the fever I was very likely to have the flu no matter what the test said. They took chest X-rays to be safe since my chest hurts and I have had whooping cough a few years ago. Results: Flu test negative, and chest X-ray looks good. Steroid shot (from Erica (painless) and Tami flu called in to pharmacy. Thanks for a quick thorough check up. PS. my 20 something's also only want to come here now for check ups! read more

It was a little hard to find. GPS tells you to make a U turn at the light but you actually want to turn in the street. The staff here are very pleasant and quick. I was in and out fast. It's nice that they have a pharmacy right in the same location so while I was sitting inside the examination room they were preparing my meds. Prices for meds are just about the same as Kroger so that saved me a trip and a wait time. The doctor and nurses were really nice. I will definitely come back, hopefully not too soon though! read more

Nice family. Convenient..the price is excellent for a chest xray labs and we needed a refill... this was my second visit to bring family for services..THE first visit I was impressed. Now...this second was going to be a great visit until after asking the patient care tech to redo a blood pressure reading on the left arm of my family member( as a critical care nurse) I know if someone bp is high you recheck once they sit down and relax 5 to 10 mins to get a better reading . No cross legs and back forward. When I asked she said..i am NOT CHECKING IT AGAIN (patient care tech with the colored hair Caucasian lady).wow rude. I know irs.close to closing time about 730 or so but relax. Yes I want labs done as it is included in the 175 fee paid especially when dealing with cardiac issues you get the kidney function!! So after that rude feedback nope I won't be recommending anyone to go there ! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I went last week because I was having problems with my neck and arm. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. My wait time was less than 15 minutes. I called them again today because I had finished my treatments and was still having problems. They told me to come back in for a reevaluation. Once again my wait time was less than 10 minutes. They did more testing and X-rays, all of which were included in the visit charge. It was so nice to feel like my health was the concern and not be rushed through to get to the next patient. I got answers and plans as to what is next. They saw me in 15 minutes and this place is just incredible. They listen, they offer advice, and they get you out the door for a very reasonable price. I have never ever received such service.
