Once they see the doc, it was 6:30 PM and the doc says he has Cellulitis, needs to have an IV treatment at a hospital and sends him away. They are open until 7. So, they go to the hospital, I arrive ther and the caregiver is relieved and we wait for another 3 hours...the doc writes a prescription for my dad. I ask what about the IV...why he was sent to the hospital? She said he did not have a fever and there was no need for anything other than the prescription, unless he develops a fever. I regaled the story given to us, and the ER doc said that was their standard MO. So....one bill, that has not yet arrived is for the urgent care facility, and another bill is for the emergency room visit...which was not really required....if the urgent care doc would have just taken the 15 minutes to look at my dad and write the prescription. You ought to be ashamed of the way you treat people. Fail.

Just before getting out of my vehicle all of the window lights went out and I went to the door and it was locked. I knocked on the door and an employee came to the door and stated "we are closed," and I said "your sign says you close at 7:00 PM and it also states that online. She informed me that they take our last patient at 6:15. As I stood there talking to her with a barely controllable wheezing cough in the cold and rain, she continued to keep me at bay outside. She asked me what's going on, I told her I thought I had a cold, but I haven't been able to shake it, I have a nagging, cough and I am often short of breath. As I stood outside in the cold and rain while she continued stood in the doorway, she stated that another urgent care facility was about a mile or two up the road and it closes at 8. She went inside and closed the door, leaving me outside and came back with an address. The other location turned out to be almost seven miles down the road. I live in Smoke Rise and the Urgent Care office she sent me to was almost 10 miles from my home with an hour wait. After being diagnosed with bronchitis, I then went to my Kroger pharmacy on Rockbridge Rd. and waited for my prescription. I did not get home until close to 9PM. I found the employee at Sunrise to be rude, not helpful and inconsiderate given that I was ill and seeking assistance. I will not refer or recommend them to anyone who is in need of medical attention.

I…read morepersonally wasn't too familiar with the "Urgent Care" process but was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism, and politeness of the staff. On both occasions, the whole ordeal of triage, swabs/testing, X-rays, doctor consultation and prescriptions took slightly less than 3 hours. Which might seem long to some people but we also spent 9 hours in the ER of a major hospital on Christmas Eve and never got seen! So this place gets my vote. Also there is free parking out front and you're not navigating a massive and costly parking deck while sick. I really can't think of any negatives, they didn't even bombard us (or anyone for that matter) with paperwork. TLDR: This place is a godsend when you're in a pinch. Dr. Sydney was outstanding.

This Urgent Care is clean, they listen to understand and not listen to reply. They are very thorough. Shontae I love her personality and the lady at the desk IDK her name but she was professional and explained the entire insurance process to us over the phone and had me ready when I got in. Wasn't no sitting in the waiting room for hours, I was in WR for less than 10 minutes and they had me in a room. I definitely recommend THIS LOCATION. 2520 N DECATUR RD, DECATUR, GA.

I called to get an appointment with them since I had been sick with sore throat coughing headache…read moreetc.... they did a TeleMed conference with me with a Doctor Who just kept on insisting that I probably have the coronavirus, I was just tested the day before and it was negative. But he made me come in to get tested anyway even though I had mentioned I'm pretty sure that's not what it is. When I made the appointment with them they told me that they wanted to do another Coronavirus test and I informed them that I had just had one the day before that came back negative. They insisted that I have another test and to drive in the back and someone could come out to swab my nasal cavity and do a rapid test.. In the back there was potholes, the place looked like the back of any crap hole that you might see anywhere, no signs, cones, no cameras etc. did not feel safe... actually thought I was in the wrong place so called and they said oh no, you're in the right place. Glad there were no car Jackers nearby. Anyway, the rapid test came back negative so they insisted that I take another test that they could send off for results, yeah another drive behind the business looking at dumpsters and homeless people, no offense. I told them that what if this is not what is wrong can you just see me and help me relieve my symptoms. I had to insist on a strep test which they finally agreed to. Even though the lady that swabbed me was very nice, as well as the one who took my nasal sample, she did not do an effective swab, when you swab for strep throat you swab the throat and the side, not run the swab back-and-forth over the top of the tongue which made me gag... and I did not have strep. The doctor did prescribe me two pills, but nobody came out to tell me what they were for, what the side effects were etc.... I just wanted to tell them I do not have a goddamn coronavirus! Unfortunately, they only came up with a pre-diagnosis which they thought was coronavirus and was not! But they would not let it go ...it's almost as if they wanted it to be that. I have an idea, since I passed the rapid test, why don't I just come in and get a real exam! I did pay for an office visit and never stepped foot in the damn place! I will not go there again, they might have some great reviews from people that felt better after they left there, but I felt like they were just trying to take my insurance companies money by offering test after test after test. What a disappointing visit! Not everybody that is sick has Covid!!!!!! It was literally like the McDonald's of urgent care, without the hot fries. UPDATE.... After I complained to the front office, the owner of the business contacted me and have me call one of the employees there named Dr. Romeo... Now HE was a pleasure to speak to... he acknowledged my concerns, and he listened to what I had to say. I think he was also very disappointed in my perception of the place, and the care that I received\didn't receive. He was not belittling, or patronizing, he seem to take to heart what I have to say about my perception. He also stated that they would work on the back to be more accommodating to the new testing "era". In addition, after hearing of all my symptoms and why they had to go through he was surprised that I had to go through it! Final thoughts said, he finally got me the antibiotic that I needed after reevaluating, and I felt he was very genuine. Mistakes happen, we can call them learning opportunities, and hopefully urgent care at Druid Hills learn something from this.

That same day, I went to another place where they diagnosed my condition and started me on treatment in less than an hour.
