Easy and seamless check in/out with friendly staff. Plentiful parking. They charge $12.00 per day for parking. My gripe: some mold in the corner of the shower and shower flooring. Yikes! They provided a shower anti-skid mat in the shower which was folded and dried - I just used that and showered w my slippers on. But I really shouldn't have to if the shower was cleaned. Maybe grout stains - not sure but better safe than sorry. The room was clean and the bedding was freshly laundered. They clean the room every other day unless you indicate otherwise.

The front desk people were friendly and the location has some eateries shops and a Trader Joe's almost right next door, as well as a Costco behind that. Despite the location being on a fairly busy street, the soundproofing seemed really good here as I did not hear any traffic noise while sleeping (I did close the heavy blackout curtain) and it seemed nice and quiet. We got the large one King 'bedroom' suite, which has the bedroom completely separate with a door, from the outside area with the bathroom, full size kitchen and queen sized sofabed. This is great if you want two separate rooms. The kitchen was really large as well, with marble type countertops and even a large kitchen island. There seems to be plenty of parking here and we could even park our car so that we could see it from the room. The breakfast was standard Homewood Suites, ie., better than a lot of included breakfasts at other hotels. Compared to another Homewood that I stayed at recently near Disneyland, it's like night and day! This one is so much better. I would definitely stay here again when in the area and would recommend this location to anyone!

Have to give a shout out to the wonderful Sophia at the front desk! She is a class act and an expert at service recovery. Obviously with four stays here in the past month - something is bound to go wrong - which it did during my 3rd stay. Sophia quickly turned things around and moved me to a better room the following day, to finish out my visit. As I've mentioned in my reviews for other places - if you run into a problem, let a staff member know - and here's the important part - give them a chance to fix it. When I brought up my concerns about the first room (cleanliness, missing amenities) I was placed in during my 3rd stay to Sophia - she was patient, expressed empathy, and worked in real-time to make things right. I half joked with my friend that the hotel placed me in a bigger room just so I can update my review with photos of the bigger space since its a different floorplan than my usual two Queen setup (lol) - but in reality, it was simply Sophia making sure that the hotel "righted the wrong" of putting me in the first room (and the condition it was in). The caring and personalized service from Sophia, to Mwinji, and Michael (at the Bistro) is why I continue to come back to this property when I'm in the area for work. Note that I've also stayed at another Marriott property nearby - the Fairfield Inn Los Alamitos - which was an average stay at best. So comparing these two properties - within a mile from each other - Courtyard Marriott Cypress comes up ahead. First off let me say the staff here were great, very friendly and accommodating - never had an issue with the staff. However this time there were more noticeable issues with the rooms: damaged air conditioner (didn't work for part of the trip), damaged or broken tables, dirty underneath beds, a door that felt less than secure, peeling paint, etc. that paired with upkeep issues (unkempt pool, pet relief areas not being picked up). There also seemed to be issues with other rooms, two examples 1) A man staying in one of the lower rooms that was constantly smoking both tobacco and marijuana inside and out of the room (door was often open) and loud late into the night (past midnight). 2) A woman who had cats in her room (they were in the window) she was entering / exiting her room as I walked by and THE ODOR of cat urine was SO STRONG I could smell it just passing her room. I would wonder (and highly doubt) they (Motel 6) could remove those odors for the next guests - Cat urine, tobacco, etc very hard smells to get out. The area surrounding the Motel was decent but did seem to have a lot of transients - We ate at Mr.Teriyaki and got donuts at the shop in the same plaza and enjoyed our time - on a previous stay we ate at the Jack in the Box on the corner (currently under remodel) and had food that was on par for JiB. The motel is also a short drive or walk from another plaza with stores and places to eat (Target, Dollar Tree, etc). Closest "theme park" is Knotts - ALMOST walkable. I would MAYBE consider staying here again but this times experience made me think we might consider staying elsewhere.

My kids enjoyed them so much. The hotel room and amenities met my expectation for a hotel. We did have some issue with the hot water in our bathroom. But I was able to call the front desk, and they were able to send someone to fix it the same day so finally, hot water in the shower! I wanted to talk about how AMAZING the shuttle service is. So they provide a complimentary shuttle service to Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. My kids actually enjoyed the shuttle service and it worked out really well with timing for us to travel to the amusement parks without worrying about driving/parking. They have a phone number you can text to make/cancel reservations, they do require advanced notice for this. Each time, they do send a confirmation text so I know I will be picked up. The shuttle may run on time or a little bit late or even a little early, but overall, it was a good experience with it. We always arrived to the stop early enough so we can board. The shuttle does allow strollers without issue so that is great. I think the biggest perk of this place is the shuttle service. Also, parking at the hotel is easy. There's plenty of parking and they do not charge for parking if we are a hotel guest. They provide a parking pass to use during our stay. In the evening, the spots closer to the hotel are taken but still plenty of parking. This is a great location in Buena Park, it is very close to Portos as well so that's a great bonus!
