bed bug bites a day after

BEWARE OF BED BUGS stayed here for one night before going on my trip to disneyland. if you don't look too carefully, the room seems clean, but thats not really the case. i highly advise you to check thoroughly before staying. the morning i checked out i noticed a few bumps which i thought were mosquito bites, however it became more unbearable throughout the day. i already thought it was weird when i woke up seeing tiny blood spots on my pillow. bed bug bits typically appear hours after they bite so i wasn't able to notify the front desk right when we check out. however, when i made the call to notify the hotel, NOT asking for compensation or anything else, the lady wasn't very understanding. she kept asking why i didnt tell them when i checked out, but like i said i had no idea it was bed bugs til after. as a hotel manager, it is YOUR responsibility to keep the hotels clean and safe from bugs. as a customer i expected a safe and relaxing environment but ended up with even more stress to deal with after.

    Baby roaches

I would give this place less stars if I could. Saw nothing but good reviews about this place when looking. We were trying to find somewhere affordable for our honeymoon. This place is disgusting! As soon as I walk in it smells weird and the walls are nasty. I check the bed to see it looks ok. Then the bathroom. There were baby roaches scattering. Managed to get a picture of two. There was hair strands in the sink and toilet. When I told the manager this she changed rooms and the second was the same. She refused the refund when I said I would stay and still charged me two nights stay because it was "My Fault". Horrible customer service.

I cancelled my Disney tickets/refunded and I received conf of the call to modify my reservation at the Ramada. I called back by 3 because the email was very vague "modify" and no new dates were on the email. I was then told I couldn't cancel through them it had to be through booking.com, I told them I didn't use booking.com I booked on their website. Clueless staff came back with "oh well you used Wyndham rewards and some points so you'll have to call Wyndham rewards to cancel or modify." I did this, but was told by Wyndham rewards line that the department I needed to do this with was already closed for the day (east coast time) they closed at 5pm. I'm in AZ and they're 3 hrs ahead of me. Was told to call back at 7am today and all would be handled. I did this and was provided a cancellation conf email and I modified my reservation to 10/10-10/12/26, moved my points, received conf of modified reservation. 20 mins later I get charged $130 by Ramada. I called and explained everything yet again and the staff with maybe one good brain cell tells me they don't accept wyndhams cancellations or modifications and I've been charged a no show fee. Unreal. Crooks. I asked to speak to a manager, one isn't in till Tuesday, 2 days from now. I'll report to my bank and send all proof but I've waisted hours of frustration and money on this nonsense. Avoid! I just cancelled my October stay and I'll book somewhere else. Shame on you! Taking money from a mom just trying to take my kids to Disneyland for the first time. Updating with hotel response: included screen shot of unprofessional lying Ramada response. They're delusional, this manager and Staff are pathetic and rude.

Made our first stay memorable. We're saying goodbye to the California Grand and saying hello to Candy Cane Inn. With our Magic Key, you get a rate discount. Rooms - upgraded and clean. I particularly noticed something from their staff and it's not a small item. When walking the hall and just glancing into a room being cleaned, they do not put the beddings on the floor like 99% of other hotels. If this is a detail they enforce, as a guest you can feel at home when you finally crash for the evening after a full day in the park. Grounds - wow! They were non-stop cleaning, pruning, watering. This is the Disney experience you hear about. Complimentary Breakfast - from 6:30am-9:30am. But I saw people coming in at 9:40 and the staff didn't turn them away. Yeah, I'm looking at you Hyatt House. And the variety of foods is great. The fruit actually looks like it was freshly cut and not from a bag. They had papaya and mounds of blueberries when I was there, among the classics like strawberries, cantaloupe, and watermelon. Instead of a spoon to serve yogurt, they had flavored Oikos in their individual sealed containers so there ain't sticky fingers double-dipping! Lobby - they have fresh water with watermelon slices. Super refreshing because it was 90 degrees during our entire stay. Bottom line. Such a clean and friendly environment. Top notch!

First off the location is great for the parks, it's a doable walk when your feet are still fresh but if you're too tired they have their cute little trolley that drops you off and picks you up from the parks once an hour. It's a very quiet hotel, i've never had any noise issues staying there. The rooms are always clean and the beds are super comfy. Another plus is the A/C's always work great and since they renovated they're in the ceiling so it cools a lot more evenly. They've got a pool and hot tub plus a small wading pool for the little tykes! They've really stepped up their continental breakfast as well. Lots of choices and great things to grab for snacks later inside the park. The staff is always phenomenal and friendly. From front desk, to maids, to groundskeepers and security guards everyone smiles and greets you when walking by. We like a specific area of the hotel and they almost always honor that and are very personable. The price is pretty comparable to other ones in the surrounding area when you factor in parking fees for them. My family is usually willing to pay a little extra for that Candy Cane Inn charm. More affordable than any Disney branded hotel but still that great Disney level customer service.

From the moment you pull into the driveway, you know you're somewhere special. I chose valet parking, which is about $60 a night. They also offer self-parking at a lower rate if you'd rather save a little money. As soon as you walk through the doors, you're greeted with the most amazing signature scent. It honestly reminds me of walking into an upscale Las Vegas resort. The lobby is elegant, there's a beautiful bar, a well-equipped fitness center, and a gorgeous pool area. We spent some time at the heated pool and jacuzzi, and it was the perfect way to unwind after a long day. The jacuzzi even has water features flowing into it, making it feel like a true luxury resort. The rooms are just as impressive. They're modern, elegant, and incredibly comfortable. The carpet was so soft, the bathroom was beautiful, and the entire room felt clean, relaxing, and upscale. Now, here's the decision I had to make. I could have booked a theme park view room where you can see Disney California Adventure and the fireworks from your balcony. But instead, I chose a resort-view room because I really wanted to experience the hotel's rooftop restaurant, Rise. And I'm so glad I did. When we checked in, they were able to get us a reservation for 8:30 p.m. The restaurant is reservation-only, so I definitely recommend planning ahead if you can. We arrived just before sunset, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The rooftop has glass panels all around, so you have an unobstructed view of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure while you're enjoying dinner. Then, at 9:30, the fireworks started. Watching the sunset fade into the Disney fireworks while enjoying dinner on the rooftop was honestly one of the most magical experiences of the trip. It was worth every penny. So if you're celebrating something special, planning a romantic getaway, or just want to treat yourself to a luxury Disneyland experience, The Westin Anaheim is an incredible choice. It's definitely a splurge--but if you're looking to feel a little bougie, relax in luxury, and create an unforgettable Disney memory, you won't regret staying here.

The hotel is relatively modern and has been maintained extremely well. Rooms have consistently been very clean, and there are a surprising number of configurations designed for larger families. Depending on the room, you'll find bunk beds, separate sleeping areas, and layouts that give mom and dad at least some separation from the kids at the end of the day. That's harder to find around Disneyland than it should be, particularly within the Hilton portfolio. The lobby is large, bright, and airy, with plenty of seating, a good snack/market area, and Disney+ seemingly always playing for the kids. The complimentary breakfast is the typical Homewood Suites buffet, but the breakfast area itself is enormous. It gets very busy in the morning--as you'd expect at a Disneyland hotel--but we've generally been able to find somewhere to sit even during the rush. The pool is OK. Nothing particularly special, but perfectly adequate for letting the kids burn off whatever energy Disneyland somehow failed to extract from them. Service has consistently been friendly and helpful. The property is also surprisingly easy to get in and out of for a hotel this busy. Two elevators keep things moving reasonably well, and multiple exits provide quick access to different parts of the parking lot. Parking is gated and does carry an additional fee, which is worth factoring into the room rate. Disneyland is walkable from the hotel, although I'd put an asterisk next to "walkable." With school-age kids it's very manageable; with toddlers or younger children, the distance becomes considerably less appealing--particularly at the end of a long park day. The location also works well for travelers who aren't visiting Disneyland, as the Anaheim Convention Center is very close. For families, especially loyal Hilton members, this is an outstanding option. There are hotels closer to the parks and certainly hotels with better pools or more upscale amenities, but very few combine the room configurations, cleanliness, breakfast setup, location, and family-friendly common areas as well as this one. While we are moving out of the stage of life where this may be the case, for our previous trips with kids ranging from 2-8, it's served our family, extremely well. -AC
