We built with Peak Builders in 2021 and it was the worst decision of our life. They lied, stole money, substituted our high quality selections with cheaper ones without our permission, took dangerous short cuts, and put our family's lives in danger. For example, we had a floor rot and collapse after one year exposing a 10 foot drop that they boarded over and tried to conceal. I can't even begin to list all the things they did, but here are a few: they charged hundreds of thousands of dollars in bogus material charges, tried to charge us "overhead costs" for $12,000 a month after we were a year into the build, installed a USED HVAC unit that had been installed and used in another home, installed a fireplace without a vent causing dangerous smoke inhalation, we moved into a house with over 30 code violations, I could go on and on. We sued them for construction fraud and they settled with us for well over 1.4 million, however we barely broke even between our legal fees and all the damages to our home. Within the same year, they were sued by two additional homeowners and settled with them as well. They've deleted themselves off of google to hide the negative reviews.
